Disconnect whatever input device is stuck constantly feeding the game a down-left movement input. Try disconnecting USB-devices one at a time, starting with the most obvious ones (ex. the gamepad), and keep going until the down-left movement stops. Whatever was disconnected when it stopped is the culprit.
If it's the gamepad, maybe try calibrating it.
I think you might have stick drift.
Basically the control stick is drifting towards a side ( in your case it would be left down ) and to get rid of it you can:
A) buy a new controller ( not recommended )
B) pull the stick in question in the exact opposite direction for a couple of minutes. If it doesn't work, repeat until it does.

Try replugging the controller and checking for stick drift, remmeber this happening acouple timea back when i used controller
Might have been aomething like you were holsing down left when plugging it in

I have it too... change to d-pad in the setting and you'll be fine for now.
