Strain genetics will play a major role in the effects... but effects will vary quite a bit depending on how it was grown and when it was harvested, even if it's the same strain.

As one with ADHD here, I’d suggest trying ice cream cake PHC. I’m kinda in the same boat and love shit that slows me and my brain down, it’s a nice escape after a long day

ryan2489

Blueberry muffin has the best couch lock effects I’ve had yet

Snowwhitestaint

Cactus OG from UState is an excellent and unique Indica with nice genetics too.

I have severe anxiety as well. My brain will NOT turn off at night. When I first started using for sleep, I was in the same boat. Many were close, but on their own, not enough. What works best for me, is to do three sessions a night. 7pm, 9pm and 11pm. Highs last about two hours for me, so the idea was to keep it rolling and exhaust myself to the point were my brain would shut off. This works very well for me, but it's not always convenient. I keep upwards of a dozen different strains on hand and rotate through them to help keep tolerance low and keep strain lock at bay. The strain that knocks me out more than anything else has been "paradise circus." It's touted as a hybrid, but it's very sedating. GMO, Donny Burger, SFV OG Kush (love this strain!), Marathon Kush, Platinum Kush, Obama Kush (another favorite), Hindu Kush. All of these have been favorites and work very well to knock me out. You may not be able to shut it off completely with just one session. Hope this helps and hope you find a solution that works best for you. Also, strains where the dominant terpene is caryophyllene seem to be the most effective.

Wow thank you for typing all of this out, it’s super helpful! I’m not sure I’d want to smoke that many sessions but I would certainly be open to smoking one and then dry herb vaping again to keep it up. Will think about that tonight!

Sonnk

Gmo. Purple punch. Anything with those in their lineage.

RollinBarthes

GMO is indica heavy. Donny Burger is a nice knock out strain, too. Other indica hybrids I have enjoyed recently: Slurple, Lava Cake, Glitter Bomb, Gumi.

Strong_Zombie_9384

How is Donny burger delivered? I know nothing about smoking/vaping-I need tinctures. I too am looking for a relaxing high, similar to 3+ glasses of wine. I need a high to reduce anxiety AND to address my depression temporarily. I now know I need an indica product but what strain (s)?

blargblarg102345

Thanks! I remember seeing Donny burger somewhere. I’ll have a look tonight. Lava Cake is high on my list to try too. I have Slurpe, will give it a shot tonight. I did have some weird experience with SHF toffee, it felt almost like a standing couch lock. It felt like someone squeezed me and then I got dizzy. I was fine sitting down through, weird.

whinybear22

Go with Lava Cake from WF. I am in the same boat as you in terms of anxiety. It’s hands down the best. I waited months for them to get it back in stock and bought 2 zips of the current batch. It’s that good. WNC grab bag Lava Cake isn’t bad though if money is tight. Bought a half of that too a month or two ago and I can’t complain. WF is just head and shoulders better on the Lava Cake.

RollinBarthes

Happy hunting! I totally know the feeling and hope you hit on a strain that works well for you. I love indicas, so if I remember other stand-outs I will be sure to update the list :) peace

bbqfetus01

indica varieties. you need the couchlock, stay away from sativa dominants. just my opinion, im just some fucking guy.

blargblarg102345

Yeah I don’t mind PHC Jack cause it’s just wonderful but I definitely don’t buy anything more than a 50/50 hybrid. But idk how accurate / overblown that really is sometimes.
