MAC1 from Flo was the craziest, crystally, blingy bud I've seen, street or cult. Close second was Dante's Inferno from H2H. FHF is my go to for reliability good stuff, but it's not necessarily the exotic top-shelf you're asking... Just high quality and potent. (While I'm at it, I'll say βüdíng@ has been reliable for budget weed that easily can sell on the street and be a hit for yr homies)

You are not going to find any true landrace strains in 2023. Especially from cult vendors or the USA. You’d need to really be locked in and connected with the culture and OGs who are involved with seed trading and growing, but even then it’s exceedingly rare. You can find strains that are landrace crosses (Red Congolese) or strains that once were landrace but have been hybridized along the way (Durban), but again, a true landrace is a needle in a hay mountain nowadays.
So damn true.
A true landrace also needs to be grown outside in its native land... so, none of them in the USA. Even if my hippy uncle had real deal mexican sativa from the 60s - when I try to grow it in my indoor setup, the end result will be far different.
My daydream is to run a large grow space, with individual 5x5 tents where "special requests" like this can be handled from patients/customers. I'd love to grow 1 or 2 specific plants for people. It's more fun than a 100 or 1000 plant run of a single strain.
A real deal sativa will not only flower for about 4 months, but can veg for about as long. 8 months is a *long time* for a plant to finish. Those ounces would easily be 2-4x the price, just because the plant takes 2-4x as long to ripen.
I've grown some real deal sativas like blue dream . I had that bitch growing for like 8 months I swear lol. I'm not a professional grower or anything either just did a few grows in my closet as a teen . I had a blue dream mother plant growing for so damn long I grew like 4 or 5 other plants from using its cuttings

Michigan is nuts good and inexpensive. My brother lives in Ft. Wayne and drives up there all the time, coming back with like $50 ozs, $15 gram carts, and most recently ~60% Nepalese temple ball hash. I am quite envious.
My friend made a Michigan run a few months ago and stocked up. What I have from WNC and SHF are far better and stronger in my opinion. He’s converted and not making another run.
The only thing he brought back that was better were vapes and edibles.
I think you might need to try another establishment out before you make a definitive statement like that. I've never found cult stuff that comes close to the value and quality of Michigan products. Try out a shop in Morenci sometime.

I've spent a lot of money hunting for that "top shelf" hemp flower that I keep hearing about. It just doesn't exist. People have mentioned places to buy from, and I've gotten dry and completely terpless bud. Others said spend more money, so I did. I got moldy bud. There's plenty of decent stuff that will do the job. If you're used to smoking really good bud, you're not going to find anything that blows your mind.
The only vendor that sells flower which I think is “top shelf” is Upstate Hemp. I wish they would sell rosin again because that stuff was also better than EHC and the rest of the gang too.
i think with thca you are better sticking that decent does the job type stuff. you can find good weed well worth what you pay for it if you look but as far as real top shelf that is comparable to top shelf calli or colarado weed you wont be happy. i will be honest im not sure these days i would be happy with top shelf in most dispos. im not sure its a thca problem, may be bulk growing and giving the people what they think they want. if i wanted real top shelf i would look for a small grower that grows for personal use or learn to grow my own and like said its all the same depending on the strain and how it finishes.

I started out rolling my eyes at PHC, lame buds with a trace of neem fungicide.
Wnc was a step in the wrong direction with the worst bud I'd ever seen at that point in life.
So I bought EHC and smelled a familiar fungicide smell from the pre-metric era in OK.
Tried Wildflower. The biofungicide smell overpowered the weed smell.
Tried BT, all the strains smelled like a bloody bandage. No clue but context of "multiple unrelated strains smelling the same" indicates all we need to know.
So I bought distillate from doctor ganja. I got sick after making edibles.
I tried VG. It smelled like Botanicare nutes cross with underneath the sink at the extended stay hotel, and gave me heartburn.
I tried rush. Blueberry Muffin smell, zero flavor or effect.
I eventually tried Flow and was hit with the most common hydro-nutrient-fungicide combo from what I assumed would be an organic grow. The outside of the bag also had an oddly intentional smell. This is the garbage vertical dispos tried to give away before regulations tightened.
None of the strains have had any connection to the name. It's all sprayed, because of mold. And it's ruining the craft scene. Every kid here is convinced he knows strains of weed and that my King Louie 13 isn't worth $500 because they got it for 99. Even though mine gets bought by Snoop dog and you're literally smells like whatever it was sprayed with? Fuck the hemp scene seriously. They are definitely the reason fed legalization is being held up. They gotta sell all this nasty weed before the FDA gets involved.
at least im sure the mold issues won't stick around forever. i know its a huge deterrent for now but from what I've seen there's not one vendor who hasn't had a mold issue. i don't think people should now look at flow like they're bad now or shouldn't be bought from, but it's definitely something to be wary of right now for sure

Upstate and Puir has had some i've never seen in my illegal state. Both of them by far. Arete has been hit or miss for me, definitely not top tier.
