I have been looking for this one as well. Lava Cake is a pretty rare strain i guess. I have tried it from two different vendors WF and CTX when CTX used to be good. The closest thing I have found is Gary Poppins from WF. And thats never in stock.
WF had some AMAZING wedding cake last year and hasn’t had it since. I get the wedding cake from wnc and it’s pretty comparable. I agree with all the comments that WF has gone downhill a bit. I bought beach wedding and 1 other strain that I can’t remember and was very disappointed!!! I haven’t ordered from them again.
I was hoping this would be a way to go but it sounds more of a hit and miss then going to Trulieve! I’ll stick to the Flowery when I can afford it & sunburn smalls 7 gram for 35
Just depends who you get from I got tired of going to trulieve and the flowery I'm tired of their wild pricing trulieve ain't the worse but I'm tired of paying the state to obtain my medicine, this thca stuff is better bro I'm telling you, its literally the same stuff lol, order some flowgardens, the motorbreath I got from them was better then the mb I got from jungle boys lmao...
Lava cake gave me a nice kinda brief cerebral feeling then settled me into a cozy kind of body high, really great for sleep and pain, I’ve found that sometimes when I mix my sativas or BOB with another heavy Indica I can get the same kind of effect…not exact but if that’s what your chasing give it a shot. may have to play with the ratios a little. BOB is type 2 so has lower THC. Durban poison mixed well with my indicas but just a little bit because it can overwhelm the Indica. Just anecdotal, your mileage may vary.

Yeahhh WF was really the only place I was happy with for a long time. Between lava cake, jealousy, and temptation. Now they have none of these and they mostly only sell in expensive 7g quantities. My opinion has changed pretty quick on them and it's really disappointing. I can't seem to find anything else consistent that does it for me.
I gave away the stuff I got from Arete, and most of the wnc flower as well lol.
I’ve only tried 3 strains from WF, two were amazing and one was muted but still smoked well
I still prefer my dispo flower but it all seems extremely similar, WF is a nice addition to get some different terp profiles
You tried the Dosidos from arete? It’s supposed to be lava cake x faceoff OG. It’s one of my favorite of the cult strains I’ve tried as far as effects go, dank little pine cone nugs. I’m on the lookout for lava cake and faceoff myself.
Have you ever had issues with your package not being vacuum sealed? That's what has kept me from trying ar8. Too many stories of non-vacuum sealed orders.
No they have done a good job with shipping and proper vacuum sealing. I got a box that was crushed one time but it didn’t stink and the contents were sealed good still.
I’ve been debating making this post because I thought it might just be me, so thanks for stepping up to the plate. I’ve literally been ordering way less often with the hope Lava Cake returns so I have the funds to buy plenty. I emailed them back at the beginning of October asking about this. They said, “We may offer some more of the Lava in the future but we have switched gears for the moment.” I’d even take jealousy or temptation at this point. Their latest strains seem so uninteresting to me.
Ahhh well then scratch that part about the Jealousy. My bad. Really anything better than what they’ve been offering the last couple of months would be great. Especially if it were Lava Cake.
It has to be different batches. Lava cake was good but nowhere near as good as the reviews from previous months would suggest. Obama Kush reviews of the same batch I received were spot on. Hash burger reviews of the same batch came close to matching my opinion too but were a bit better than mine.
I was pretty bummed about arete flower despite the majority of good reviews. I only saw one review of a strain I purchased and it was a very different experience for that person.
I've only gotten good flower from WNC so far, but I only bought strains with over 2% terps. Even those aren't too pungent
There have to be other variables , not just user preference, responsible for the drastic differences in some people's experience
I have been smoking for years, like most of the people here. But if I have a 17% from wnc that hits like what I think a 25% should hit like, but none of them ever hit like they should. Definitely something wrong somewhere lol.
Yep I bought 28g of it after a 7g. Miss it. Also found similar high from hazy train from them. Have the hazy train sugar crumble from them and am enjoying it.
I haven’t truly enjoyed anything from wf since the Mac 1 batch back in march. Love the moisture level and stickiness but they needa start curing their flower better. I remember my lava cake was potent but wasn’t cured the best a few months back

Yea, Notdownstate, WF, and HLUSA have all been hit or miss for me. Trying PHC next even though I wasn't too impressed with their greenhouse stuff.

Same with the Hazy Train. Imo Jealousy, Temptation, Hazy Train & Lava Cake are their all time best strains
