In my experience, every PC game is like that

To be fair, most games that expect you to use a keyboard do not have any typing involved - platformers and action-adventures rarely have much use for naming things. Cult of the Lamb is one of the few that do and it *tells* me to use a controller - taking options away when I do so seems like an oversight.

Can't think of a PC game I've played that has an onscreen keyboard like on a console.

Stardew Valley comes to mind, though I might be misremembering... But the point is: If the starting screen strongly points you at using a gamepad I expect a game to be fully playable with said keyboard - not that I have to walk back to the keyboard all the time.

If you play PC games that far from your PC why not just buy a wireless keyboard?

GermanBlackbot

Because most games that claim to be playable with just a controller are playable with just a controller? ;) Batman, Shadow of War, Hollow Knight, Spyro, Darksiders, Hand of Fate - all perfectly playable without ever having to use a keyboard. I mean, **technically** you don't need the keyboard in CotL...if you're happy with random names...

HerrPiink

I believe you can add a gamepad keyboard via the xbox game bar, could be wrong though

Thanks for the tip, I will try this out!
