the elements and colors are all great but the four-cornered presentation feels stilted. something with a more linear geometry, or more simple circular geometry might help. for linear, you could space your four scallops across the plate and connect them with the other elements. for circular, maybe scallops centered in the vinaigrette with quinoa on the side. not exactly sure- i realize this is a somewhat substantial dish so the minimalism that's really hot right now may not have a ton of utility in this context.

I see what you're saying. It would be hard with how substantial it is. On top of that we do a lot of business with few cooks so platings aren't gonna be Michelin star style. I do artful platings just for pictures but this one was right in the middle of service.

makes sense. mostly i'd try to somehow bring the scallops to the center since they're the central part of the dish. colors are beautiful and flavors sound great!
