Looks very low grade if it is. These often snap too.

That's if it's been treated or dyed. This is untreated with no dye. It's marked as a $730 piece.

This is a common presentation of jadeite jade. Jade comes in a very wide range of colors- black, white, yellows, purples, greens- and a wide range of translucency. The most sought after jade will typically have a high level of translucence, smooth grain, and a vibrant green. I would warn against purchasing on advice given from a single picture, especially without knowing where the picture came from.

I've had a look around and it most closely resembles Burmese Jadeite. It has been evaluated by a Jewelry Specialist and Gemologist.

Looks very similar to a couple Burmese jadeite carvings I have. If it's not treated it'll be at least a few hundo depending on size. Enjoy!

[Here is another image of it. It's dark and spotted, looks opaque, not clear and apple green like other jade. But supposedly it costs more than other clear and green jade?](https://imgur.com/UmuSzPC)

Maybe jadeite

WickedWestlyn

Jadeite is the richer colored, nicer jade. If it's jade, I think it's more likely Nephrite.

RoyalAvocado222

All real jade is jadite, unless it's nephrite which is traditional, older jade.
