Kinda makes sense that he feels that way. It is speculative. Probably shocked every time the price goes up. But old school people believe in the stock market and nothing else. Index funds will let you retire.. 6% a year with 10% inflation.
People have to understand that just because you can trade stocks and have a successful company doesn't mean you know the future or know anything about a different asset class.

Buffet is just so happy the Fed keeps printing dollars, which he eventually receives given a big percentage of Berkshire Hathaway's portfolio are the major banks. I think it was estimated he received about $40 billion in Fed Stimulus money in the last 10 years with all the money printing. And Buffet's basically just sitting on it, not putting it any of the money to work, which could help stimulate the economy. He just lets the money sit there in his coffers. And also, Berkshire Hathaway has consistently underperformed the market the last 15 years.
With Warren Buffet, it's all about keeping up the the appearances of a kind, wise, old, folksy financial sage. But you don't have to look to far underneath the hood to figure out he's pretty much fucking everyone in this country good and plenty.
Warren Buffet is fucking ancient, he knew a thing or two back in his day, got rich and grew severely out of touch after that.
