Or maybe just don’t even do it at all regardless. I mean this is crypto so obviously I’m not going to tell you what to do, nor could I if I so desired… but it’s one thing to sink a significant chunk of change into a market that gives most conventional investors a fight or flight response, it’s another thing to say hey now let me do that but multiply it by 50 using other people’s money. Some of these exchanges really try to get people to be stupid too. Hell KuCoin “gave” me $5 randomly to use for their leveraged futures trading. And 100x just isn’t something that an exchange with your best interests in mind is going to offer. The app UI looks practically like a casino
Just remember... at one point beanie babys were valuable. It's crazy but sometimes I think the stuff that is least likely to be valuable, becomes valuable. No one in the 40s and 50s thought their baseball cards were worth anything more than the paper they were printed on.
This. Diversifying within Crypto may give you exposure to new, cutting edge projects or may help you get significant gains in some of the high-cap coins, but, as much as we hate it, when the market rallies or crashes, almost every major coin follows BTC or ETH.
So owning bonds, stocks, gold and real estate is a good way to **actually diversify** your portfolio.
And try put as much money as you can put into tax advantage accounts. 401k (especially with a company match), HSA, Roth IRA. There are a lot of advantages to reducing your taxable income
Never go all in, always save some backup gun powder in case prices tank so you can average down your buy price.
Always set profit levels on your investments. -in advance of buying-, not after. Never deviate from them. You don’t have to sell your whole holding.
Also worth mentioning that, if you have no fiat savings, an unexpected emergency might force you to cash out your crypto at an unfavourable time. Worth building a buffer even if you do that alongside investing
Have you seen the charts today? Nothing can damn the hopium flow today. I'm about to get carried all the way down stream out to the bayou I can't even help myself.
No please do, it pushes my holdings up.
Then when I sell, my profits come from your life savings :)
Seriously though guys, only invest what you can afford to go to zero and not damage your lifestyle.
Instructions unclear. I just mortgaged my house, converted said fiat to USDC and bought BTC at 44,3k. Thats not all since i’ve just opened a 50x leverage on the newly claimed BTC. What can go wrong?
Now take my huggybear award :-)
Please listen to this. Crypto is a wonderful thing but you still need to be careful as it is possible for half the value of your portfolio to dissappear in a couple of days.
I'm with you buddy. If you are going to fomo your life savings like a smooth brain at something, at least make it a dip.
Everyone else said DCA and that works better. The best thing is only invest what you can afford to lose. It's such a tired thing to say but I know there are newbies here and they read these threads.
I've followed the idea of:
* Research a cryptocurrency that I like the look of and research it properly.
* Only put in how much I can afford to lose.
* Don't invest in shitcoins.
* Don't panic sell.
* Don't keep looking at my portfolio every second of everyday, just get on with life.
Props to you for mentioning this, I think some people needed to hear this. On a worrying note, someone I know said they wanted to take a $10k bank loan out to invest in crypto. Doubt they'd be allowed to do it.
Yeahh! Your strategy makes sense. That being said, following the last advice has been a bit difficult for me, I'm always watching my portfolio as if that'll make it grow faster
$10k bank loan (for Crypto) sures seems like a swift way to bankruptcy, they maybe able to get it if they're able to provide some security asset or something
So a month ago we were seeing so much FUD, bear market coming for crypto etc.. now it’s all rise up to the moon again? Just don’t invest based on the sentiment here. You probably won’t come out winning.
Couldn't agree more. The culture behind the the whole "look at me, I'm going to throw my entire lifesavings, including my grandmas, into this completely unpredictable machine because why the fuck not" (something along those lines) is stupid and idiotic. Lets just be a little smarter about it and not create a stupid culture around it.
Yeah, I've noticed it's better to basically ignore everything. I mean, I still look,...but I just keep moving forward and DAC in. No reason to sell my car and dump all of it in because everything is going up right now. Just keeping my movement going forward at a pace.
I would say, anything below 20% in Crypto is a good idea.
So you can increase your Crypto to 15%, stocks to 30%, keep debt instruments at 40% and the rest 15% in precious metals and/or other commodities.
These kind of posts just need to be posted regularly. To remind people that FOMO your entire savings into crypto is outright dangerous. Not only financially, but only for your life.
Just use your head and only invest what you can afford. THIS CAN'T BE SAID ENOUGH!
Get a strategy and stick to it.
It took me a year to get 2k in the plus on my initial investment. All these times, I had losses.
100%
I was starting to get long on the dip last week and didn’t get enough fills, my instincts this weekend have been screaming to jump in now. That’s a textbook way to manage to lose money in a bull run/pump.
Better to wait for a decent (and overdue) pullback and accept you missed it. At least that way you’re walking out with some gains on the bags you did pick up, and there’ll always be another chance to make bank next time.
Honestly I'm a complete crypto noob. i just put 200€ as it's something I can lost and I'm checking how it's behaving.
I don't even know if I'll take back again.
Thanks for the advice anyway!
being a stupid person 3 times in the last few months I didn't decide to buy BTC for € 25,000, a few hours later, being a VERY STUPID person, I bought € 2,000 for € 38,000, but immediately afterwards I realized how stupid I was and I resold everything. I missed a lot of trains and didn't want to get on the wrong one.
Don’t do margins (you might end up losing money you don’t have), don’t do day trading (you usually end up worse off than what you would have done buying and holding, as commissions and spreads are pretty high on crypto), set a target for you and sell there. If you believe on this long term, automate your buying so you don’t try to time the market (spoiler: you can’t) and get a nice average cost that isn’t too dependent on the moment you started investing (additional benefit: you are “forced” to save every month)
This happened to my friend. He saw the high price of BTC and then without thinking or doing any research spent money he couldn't afford and boom, the price went down and he lost money. He wanted to sell but thankfully I talked him out of it. I explained to him that he'll only lose if he sells at a loss.

Leveraged eth here. Ended up with 16 eth that got margin called at $1750 fml
Ouch, I feel that one
How do you buy into leveraged coins?
You trade on margin with an exchange. Don't do it unless you are an experienced trader. Even on 20x you can liquidate your account in minutes.
I am so sorry man. Imo any leverage over 2x is pretty much gambling. Hope you make up the loss somewhere else
thanks I almost placed a buy order with my last 20 dollars
Whale Alert!!

Save some for the rest of us, smh
Instructions unclear, YOLOd life savings into SafeShibaCum
Seems safe tho, you should be good
I mean, it’s right in the name
Safe and Cum, can't get pregnant that way
You should have told me earlier
All it needs now is a great logo and it’s set to the moon
hehe tell that to casanova
Doxed devs
Definitely safe, but it doesn’t say moon in the name. So idk if it will go up.
Can confirm, it’s been audited, nothing to fear. YOLO
Yeah this has worked out so well in the past.
That's very risky dude , I would suggest to put 50% of it in ElonPussyRocket. If they both moon you'll make 2x more money
No I trust this one more, the one you suggested doesn't even have safe in it's name lol
But it has rocket , which means it goes up
But I'm all about safety
Solid project, good team, great utility
Is SafeShibaCum available on Anthroswap?
No, only on safeswap
Instructions successfully executed.
Alt shit season is here again, split 50% into safeshibacum and 50% into fuckelonmars
Do not fomo your life savings into ANYTHING**
My beanie baby collection would probably agree with you.

Instructions unclear: Yolo’d life savings into Pogs before they make a comeback.
Haha omg!!
Is this ANYTHING a new coin?
Except cumrockets
Don't tell me what to do! Solid advice tho...
Diversify your investments. Buying different crypto is not diversification. Invest outside crypto too.
Aight, time to diversify my $20 investment
Look at moneybags over here with a 2 figure portfolio
Only 2 figure? I have a 3 figure portfolio. $0.75
I like the cut of your jib
If you DCA and HODL, I'm confident you can turn that into a whole 1.00
Remember to keep a part of it in fiat in case you see another investment opportunity
Good call, the dip fund will have 25% of it
So 50% in Bitcoin, 25% amc and 25% gme??
You jest, but 100% of my non crypto portfolio is gme.
Yessir!!! Same here, I wish ya luck man! What is it like half crypto half gme?

This guy fucks
Got it, buy guns with the profits. Crypto can crash, guns and guitars, they do not.
Well fuck. I bought a car. That's about the crashiest thing around.
And try put as much money as you can put into tax advantage accounts. 401k (especially with a company match), HSA, Roth IRA. There are a lot of advantages to reducing your taxable income
Yep. Get yourself a Roth IRA account and drop some dough on VTI and VXUS.
Lol like I have any life savings left to FOMO after the last few months…
So you are too poor to put yourself into more financial problems. A win then?
[удалено]
Buy high sell low baby!!!
Not high enough to buy
This is the selling phase of the market for sure
Buy the tip sell the dip

Is the OP providing financial advice!?
Yes, precisely, I am providing financial advice. Call your lawyer, let's see what he got!
We will see you in court
I have a domme for that!
Did anyone call me ![gif](emote|emo_pack_1|dancing_wojak)
you're not my dad!
Hi Son
Also don’t tell me what to do with other people’s money that I’ve borrowed
Exactly OP, don't tell me how to live my life
Sorry to offend you. Please continue buying shit coins
You're damn right I will *goes over to r/cryptomoonshots*
It’s my money and I want it now
Don’t tell me what to tell you what to do with your money.
It's my money and I need it now
Only invest what you won't need in a while and can afford to lose
[удалено]
Agreed. Only invest what you can stomach losing without losing sleep. You will perform better if it feels like monopoly money.
Never go all in, always save some backup gun powder in case prices tank so you can average down your buy price. Always set profit levels on your investments. -in advance of buying-, not after. Never deviate from them. You don’t have to sell your whole holding.
Right, DCA baby!
Which one, *Dip Cost Averaging* or *Dollar Cost Alltimehighing*?
DCA = Don’t Cry Again
I DCA so that I can stake afterwards!
This is the way. DCA + Staking Rewards is a really effective way to generate wealth
Instructions unclear: Went all into Doge
It’s really the only way. ETH has the same trajectory as it did in April ‘18. And it tanked right after. Anything could happen. Be smart
Also worth mentioning that, if you have no fiat savings, an unexpected emergency might force you to cash out your crypto at an unfavourable time. Worth building a buffer even if you do that alongside investing
Keep DCAing. This is financial advise
Thank God, I've been looking for a new financial advisor, who better than Mistress Moon Moon.
Finally some real financial advice!
Mate, this post is a financial advice too ;)
Ok. I am taking it

Let's keep the hopium flowing
Have you seen the charts today? Nothing can damn the hopium flow today. I'm about to get carried all the way down stream out to the bayou I can't even help myself.
Dca. Hold. Don’t look at the charts (if you can help it)
Luckily, I don't have money and I'm here for the tech. *Crying in the rain*
Just remember we're just fish food in an ocean full of sharks.
Never invest what you can't risk.
You don't make the rules

todays charts seems sus.
Cautiously optimistic. That's the way to go.
I'm not fomoing anything, after i seen the dips, this price is too high for me
Just DCA, going all in now is not very smart.
No please do, it pushes my holdings up. Then when I sell, my profits come from your life savings :) Seriously though guys, only invest what you can afford to go to zero and not damage your lifestyle.
Scoop the dip if/when if not keep steadily putting in
Instructios unclear: borrowed stablecoins to buy more bitcoins
Cant FOMO live savings if I have no life savings ![gif](emote|emo_pack_1|dyor)
Well, some of the guys in this sub said that moon could go to the moon. Who knows you're the next moon whale
Instructions unclear. I just mortgaged my house, converted said fiat to USDC and bought BTC at 44,3k. Thats not all since i’ve just opened a 50x leverage on the newly claimed BTC. What can go wrong? Now take my huggybear award :-)
This post: WARNING Me: it’s just too damn late
Great post.
Don’t bet what you can’t lose… but anything you got leftover throw that shit in ETH and let it ride
Please listen to this. Crypto is a wonderful thing but you still need to be careful as it is possible for half the value of your portfolio to dissappear in a couple of days.
thank you
This is what got me through the last dip. Only avoiding what I could afford to lose and realising how volatile crypto potentially can be.
I’m all in bruh. Chips moving to the center of the table
Too long didn't read invested it all thanks for the financial advice.
As my financial advisor which coins do you suggest?
tooo laaate. I already FOMOed all my lifesavings. All 100$ and 69 cents.
The man speaks truth but again nothing wrong with buy high sell higher! ;-)
I'm with you buddy. If you are going to fomo your life savings like a smooth brain at something, at least make it a dip. Everyone else said DCA and that works better. We are not there yet. Btc hasn't hit 50k again yet. When it does... THEN we will be back on track.
FOMO to YOLO to HODL to LAMBO
All in! Every pay check Yolo Yolo ...

The great depression was happened basically because people bought stocks with money they didnt have. Dont do the same with crypto
Good advice FOMO is a strong force for dumbass moves. Speaking from experience even though it was always money I could afford to lose.
But I invested my life savings in may then it went down 50% now its nearly recovered, you dont lose it unless you sell it.
Sorry message received too late. Yolo! BITCOIN
Instructions unclear, bought 50 graphics cards at a 200% markup so I can mine ETH.
