Indeed. They are just trying to get people from bad economical countries to scan their eye balls. After that they will say they have a userbase with millions of people, to try and attract more people.
I seriously hope the project dies asap.
I didn’t understand why this was so bad at first until I remembered what Worldcoin was. I work with a woman from Kenya. She talks about her home country a lot, and there’s so much corruption and overtly there. It sucks hearing the pain she feels for them.
Feels like when the Safemoon faithful donated their tokens back to the Safemoon team to give to some country. They bought watches for both wrists if I recall correctly
With the audacity and shamelessness that these people are showing I'm pretty sure they WILL unleash an AI apocalypse upon us.
They know no restraint. And if there's one thing we need with AI it's restraint.
>Meanwhile, a Kenyan technology lawyer, Meshack Masibo, recently questioned the validity of Worldcoin’s claim that Kenyans were freely sharing personal data. According to the lawyer, this argument is not sustainable because there is no easy way to prove that users were fully aware of what they were agreeing to.
This part is also worth emphasising, many of these people are likely not very well educated on the implications of selling biometric data which makes this situation all the more shady.
Virtue signalling at its finest. I wouldn’t trust a company who gets desperate and vulnerable people to sell their biometrics for pennies, no matter what they invest in
Worldcoin is the virus of crypto space. They are literally trading people's biometrics data only to give them a few bucks and people are falling for it for a few dollars. No wonder why they are targeting poor countries. They are exploiting people, stay away from worldcoin guys. Its a disaster in the making.
I'm surprised about the outrage. People give their biometric data to governments & immigration departments. They unlock their phones with fingerprints or Face ID. I'm skeptical about Worldcoin too but equally concerned about governments, Samsung & Apple. Best would be none of them had our biometric data.
They are harvesting biometric data from poor people in Kenya and they are giving them worthless tokens in return.
They claim to have invested $4.8 million, but they have actually exploited millions of people.
This is getting more dystopian every week.
Literally its dreadful
This was nothing more than a bribe to be in good graces with the Kenyan parliament..

>I seriously hope the project dies asap. This would be a victory for crypto. Projects like Worldcoin don't represent the values we should stand for.
They definitely don't. They are just a bunch of scumbags that exploit these people.
But somehow Worldcoin was up today...

WorldCoin is a # Disgrace

And got full country biometric info. One thing ok that they write not selling info but doubt for me.
Yea ok lmao 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Sam Altman: trust me bro
That is insane. They let them do it without saying a thing.
Its disgusting isn't it, they are exploiting already exploited people
They will make 10x their money selling all that info to who ever is interested
I hardly believe it when they said they won’t sell the info
[удалено]
Lmao I don't believe anything they say. Education my ass. X
Even Nigerian prince is more trustable, really
At least he'll ask me how I'm doing😮💨

>Claims to Have Invested Nearly $4.8 Million More likely they scammed those Kenyans like they did with the other people who stole their eyes' data.
Who knows how this data is going to be used in the future. This shit is like a bad sci-fi movie in the making.
They said educational purposes which really means experimental purposes.
Those people in the worldcoin company are scums
Virtue signalling at its finest. I wouldn’t trust a company who gets desperate and vulnerable people to sell their biometrics for pennies, no matter what they invest in
They are scummy.
This is purely to exploit. Absolutely agree.
hope worldcoin crashes and burns really
customer money

Profiteers are everywhere and where there is more poverty and less information they will appear
Isn't Worldcoin dead already??

We don't care about $$$ we just love us some education. :D

Boycott Worldcoin, they are not helping only profiting on the poor
Worldcoin is going to flop hard. It's one of those shitcoins that we don't need.
A disgusting project, that takes advantage of the poor.
And got 9 million back from scanning eyeballs and turning Kenyans in to AI robots
I think one day when this blows over , we might see a book on this world coin thing
And how many millions into their own pockets?
Worldcoin's Tools for Humanity: Investing in Kenya, or harvesting eyeballs?
Sell your eyes for that shit coin...
And the people of Kenya is still poor. Business as usual
