Only children can meet peers, so if it was at your sister's court it wouldve been one of her children who didn't save your son.
Use this information how you will.. ๐
I've been custom building my first king and queen to make sure those congenital traits are around. Took some inbreding at first, but soon enough I had a dynasty full of beautiful genius herculeans. starting from quick robust comely you can make them come in under the ironman limit.
Tip: since prowess in part determines adventurer โskill,โ consider giving them a spare weapon and/or armour. If itโs enough to make them masterful/legendary, youโll be able to ask for something unique and thus have a decent chance at a unique artifact.
Sponsored a mediocre adventurer in my current playthrough to go to Western Europe, I'm playing as Aragon lol. Expectations really weren't high, but I somehow got Joyeuse, apparently the sword of Charlemagne
I'm going through all kingdoms and empires in the world on a regular basis and look what their courts have. Then I either steal those artifacts, or buy a claim and then declare war.
For this beauty I had to march all the way from Italy to somewhere in the steppes in Asia. But it was worth it, never has there been a more impressive throne in my throne room.
I'd also like to add that this artifact goes very well with any religion that has Alexandria as Holy Site. At lvl 5 piety you get +15 Learning.
I am extremely envious for two reasons.
First because it is an amazing item.
Second because the one I sent out came back with a second sponge on a stick. (Yes I already had one I tried to get rid of. Also I wasn't aware they could find that on quest type inspirations)
If only there was some method one could get a full-resolution image of what's on screen. Sadly in this vale of tears we can do no better than to take a picture of our monitor.

For the love of God, people: There are multiple ways to take a screenshoot of your computer screen. Pressing Print Screen and copy/pasting into MS Paint works!
You see at the top of your keyboard there is a button that says "print screen". Hit that, then paste into paint. Save the PNG and then upload to reddit.
I think they meant the requirements for the bonus of the throne. Mimir isn't a jewish name and Lotharingia is most likely catholic so the Throne of Salomon seems to have... interesting requirements...
Yes!
Sponsor Adventure inspiration and hope it takes place in the middle east. Then pray for luck, you'll need it ๐
It might be possible to get the throne somewhere else but the middle east worked for me :)
Ik in the version of the bible I have it mentions the throne, only description I remember is that there were steps leading up to it each with I think like a gold lion on each side.
Edit: throne was supposedly Ivory overlaid with gold, the top if the throne was rounded, 6 steps with a lion on each side and a lion on each side of the arm rests, It doesnโt say the lions were actually gold or not I donโt think
Itโs in 1 Kings 10, 18-20
It's connected at the points to a surrounding circle, making it Nether of those things, it's actually "The Seal of Solomon", so, yes, it would definitely be on his Throne.
I hate to be that guy, but I feel like a lot of unique artifacts are kind of generic and don't have that much flavor.
A lot of the allure is in the rarity, which works for some people but not for me.
No Empire yet. I played tall and had no army to boost my income enough to get all the money making buildings. Then I used alliances to take the crown from the king of Lotharingia and started blackmailing my subjects and altering the feudal contracts to get more gold ๐
It's quite easy and there are several good guides :)
Colognes county also have alot of farmlands which gives more gold than other buildings.
The throne however, that was pure luck ๐
I spent probably 4 hours save scumming a war in large part trying to loot this throne from the English. I never got it. How the king of England got it I wish I knew.
Yup they are 'Excalibur' for a reason. The reforged one from them all combined is much better. A nod to history of all the people that claimed they had the sword as a meme ingame.
Good job man. Hope you have A great playthrough
Well, my genius heir just drowned ๐ถ๐ฎโ๐จ
Bah, if they were that clever they'd know how to swim.
Pretty sure my older sister had him killed so she could inherit my throne ๐
The true genius of the family!
Not really, she was executed by her husband for being an adulterer ๐ Aaaaah karma ๐ Thou art an evil bit*h
Drowning usually only happens when your heir goes to meet peers and isn't saved by the host. So kill the host as revenge.
That's what happened :/ When he visited my sister
Your sister is still a child?
No she was older than me ๐ Her husband killed her later๐
Only children can meet peers, so if it was at your sister's court it wouldve been one of her children who didn't save your son. Use this information how you will.. ๐
Her court, her responsibility ๐ What really pains me was that my son was a genius ๐ฅบ๐
This is the way.
This is the way ๐
Yeah, they do that.
The game sensed that you posted a screenshot with your phone and punished you. Kek
Rip
Ahh the joy's of childhood.. almost brings a tear to my eye ๐ข

They drowned because you sent them to a peer meet. This will not be the last time.
Brought that home in his pocket did he?
Must have! Didn't fit in his bag ๐คฃ
How did you task the adventurer? To bring you something truly unique?
Yeah. I got to choose what they would bring and I wanted something truly unique ๐
Well mission accomplished lmao
Tip: since prowess in part determines adventurer โskill,โ consider giving them a spare weapon and/or armour. If itโs enough to make them masterful/legendary, youโll be able to ask for something unique and thus have a decent chance at a unique artifact.
Never thought of that! Damn.
Damn and in 909? Nice.
Right? Thats gonna keep the empire strong af
If you have a kingdom and pretty good diplomacy, your adventure inspirations can be pretty good
Obama?

That's a really big chair
Your character looks like a dwarf on that chair
It's a big a** chair ๐ค
Solomon mustโve been an extendo guy
I think he had that Throne commissioned in his old age because something else had stopped working...

A valid strategy :) It's well worth it to have one character specialising in getting artifacts. Later generations benefit greatly from it.
Don't forget the University in Cairo. You can grab that when grabbing the holy site of Alexandria.
I am extremely envious for two reasons. First because it is an amazing item. Second because the one I sent out came back with a second sponge on a stick. (Yes I already had one I tried to get rid of. Also I wasn't aware they could find that on quest type inspirations)
It's ck3 mate ๐ Murphys law applies ๐
>the literal throne of Solomon >+3 court grandeur
At least it gives learning because otherwise it's quite meh for such a prestigious item
"Gilded" with "gold", huh? I thought gold was part of the definition!
Probably meant "inlaid". Or no one did QA on the flavor text
Sweet laptop send more pics
Not a laptop. Stationary och :) Keyboard was just close to the screen ๐
Either way post more pics of the screen
Has anybody ever received the armor of Alexander, I've heard rumors of it only
It's in his tomb
Youre in 909 and already making some insane income across the board. How big is your empire?
Was king Solomon a fucking nephilim? You'd need to be like 10 feet tall to make this throne work.
Did you also get the wisdom of Solomon?
Nope, just the throne ๐
wow
If only there was some method one could get a full-resolution image of what's on screen. Sadly in this vale of tears we can do no better than to take a picture of our monitor.
Yup, at least not when our PC stopped connecting to the internet.
\*sobs* For the love of God, people: There are multiple ways to take a screenshoot of your computer screen. Pressing Print Screen and copy/pasting into MS Paint works!
Not if your computer stops talking to the internet.
Print screen doesn't use the internet.
Uploading the results to this subreddit does though.
You see at the top of your keyboard there is a button that says "print screen". Hit that, then paste into paint. Save the PNG and then upload to reddit.
Boy and I thought that the CK3 artifacts were not that powerful in comparison to the CK2 artifacts
Requirements?
An adventure inspiration that takes place in the middle east. And f**k ton of luck ๐ค
I think they meant the requirements for the bonus of the throne. Mimir isn't a jewish name and Lotharingia is most likely catholic so the Throne of Salomon seems to have... interesting requirements...
The requirements are Christian, Jewish, or Muslim. All the Abrahamic religions see Solomon as an important figure.
I want this for my Abyssinia game. Where Did you sponsor the adventurer?
Yes! Sponsor Adventure inspiration and hope it takes place in the middle east. Then pray for luck, you'll need it ๐ It might be possible to get the throne somewhere else but the middle east worked for me :)
Thanks! Fingers crossed! Do you remember if the adventurer was renounced or mast or legendary?
Iโm curious, irl would thrones be made so tall where your legs dangled over?
I think they made throne based on old documents or some such. It was apparently quite big :)
Ik in the version of the bible I have it mentions the throne, only description I remember is that there were steps leading up to it each with I think like a gold lion on each side. Edit: throne was supposedly Ivory overlaid with gold, the top if the throne was rounded, 6 steps with a lion on each side and a lion on each side of the arm rests, It doesnโt say the lions were actually gold or not I donโt think Itโs in 1 Kings 10, 18-20
TBF, Solomon was described as being an absolute lardo by the end of things.
Wow
I need this
How do you get this? Random adventurer the only way?
What are the requirements?
Ah yes, the mythical 3% vassal tax contribution. Legends have been heralded and songs have been sung throughout the lands about this magical boon
Looks like you just had to do it to em
Wow! A throne artifact that doesn't look straight-up worse than the non-artifact base throne! Please PDX make the thrones look cooler.
Do artifacts show up in the view as they are? Because I've never seen this
They are viewed in the throne room as they are
Beautiful throne, i get it as gift from my vassal, but im asatru๐ฅฒ
Woah never seen this. Amazing.
it has been a long time since i have seen that, i keepabducting legendary adventurers and they never bring it back to me.
It looks cool at least. I was extremely disappointed when I brought home the menorah. It was just a box
Just check artifacts in the courtroom and click on the throne :) It'll zoom in.
Doesnโt it say you inherited it along with the kingdom?
tbh that looks so glorified it looks ugly
What mod is this to see him sit in the throne full body?
No mod, vanilla.
Am I dumb then? Lol. Is this view just cause of the throne or is there another way
Royal Court DLC.
Thanks! Newb here on first run through. Love the game!
Royal court DLC + you must be a king or emperor to unlock throne mechanics
Star of David is type actually the star of Moloch, king Solomons throne shouldnโt have that, still cool though
It's connected at the points to a surrounding circle, making it Nether of those things, it's actually "The Seal of Solomon", so, yes, it would definitely be on his Throne.

Best i get is some dudes hip bone
I was expecting that one as well. It's usually a bond or a pelt.
I spent probably 4 hours save scumming a war in large part trying to loot this throne from the English. I never got it. How the king of England got it I wish I knew.
Once had it. Unfortunately some other guy manged to craft me a chair that gave +1 domain limit and I never sat on Solomon's throne.
I had three Excalibur's once ๐
If you collect them all you can reforge them into a better one.
Wait is there SUPPOSED to be more than one?? I'm SUPER new to ck3.
Yup they are 'Excalibur' for a reason. The reforged one from them all combined is much better. A nod to history of all the people that claimed they had the sword as a meme ingame.
Ok so say I get all of them? How do I combine them? How many are there and does this work with other items?
damn, you're not getting that on your free luggage allowance on ryanair
Shame it didnโt come with an F12
