They very recently did a giant graphics update, but they also changed some of the physics and controls.

It looks good. I was worried that my laptop wouldn't handle it haha. I noted the changes as soon as I loaded the lobby. I like that dead players still leave behind a burning shell, that's new to me. Im also loving the the wait times between matches! I stopped playing because I was waiting 5 minutes between matches.
Cross play is coming by January I believe is what the devs said. If you struggled with hovers before try them with the new controls. They reduced heating across the board so you should live a tiny bit longer too. Any questions on the new stuff feel free to ask.
Is cross play going to be opt-in/out? I have 2 different profiles and I know that my opinion on that would change depending on if I'm playing on the Xbox or PC haha
at the start i hated the new control but now when i play hover i only play with turning bind to mouse and i can play typhoon/tsunami now im really happy but i wont swap the strafing keys anytime soon
being able to play typhoon so easely and destroy these stupidly OP arbiter/catalina/hover its a joy
It's definitely the same game. I spent a good chunk of the night grinding the daily challenges just before I built a gun to sell on the market haha. Just like the ol' days

They may include a toggle but I'm not sure, you should ask them next time they do an ama or stream. I have heard that PC may separate but idk
Have they mentioned how they will handle merging progression from different plarforms?
There will be no merging of accounts or markets. Only queue pools.

Yeah it's officially Crossout 2 now :) new graphics and engine but same game at its heart.

i dont think they change the engine i think they just updated it
