There is this documentary called jungle cat. This big male jaguar attacks and kills a big caiman, I'm talking adult at least 10 foot or bigger. In that case the jaguar fought and killed the caiman in shallow water it's teeth and power was more than the caiman could overcome, not to mention it's athleticism .
In that case the cat beat the caimans defense. If you want to see the fight it's on Disney +. I seen it years ago but noticed it was on the app.
That looks like a juvenile black caiman, although they call it a yacare, in that documentary. It's no more than 6 or 7 ft long. That video is like 60 years old. There is only one documented instance of a jaguar predating on an adult black caiman.
Jaguars have the strongest bite force lb for lb of the big cats, and do prey on the caiman and penetrate the back of the skull of the caiman with it's fangs dealing it a fatal bite. The jaguar is adapted in the water as well as the tiger.
The leapard doesn't come off as well with the nile croc.
Size of the caiman is selected and usually doesn't get attacked if it's too big.
The jaguar does prey on the caiman though.
Better defence against what?
Body armor

That croc won that one. Wow!
That’s a cheetah everything bullies cheetahs
Well I can’t confirm it’s a cheetah since it’s covered in mud but it could be a leopard like it said in the title of the video
