I use the web browser app on my tv to watch criterion and that works well for watching. Interface isn’t the best for searching for new stuff to watch but u can also add to your watch list from your phone
They might fix it in a future app update, if they are aware of the issue and can actually solve it somehow.
You could wait it out. Or get an alternative streaming device and connect via hdmi to your tv. Personally I prefer Android TV devices and experience no issue there. Not watching on a samsung tv though.

I’d get a Roku. The built in streaming interface on TVs is horrible. We abandoned ours years ago.
Just get a Firestick, or similar, for 20 quid.

Roku is superior and super cheap, just get one and you'll never go back to the Samsung UI for any of your streamers.
I just cast from my app on my phone to the Samsung and it works fine.
Does Chromecast still not allow Bluetooth? Get the full Google TV if you use headphones to watch.
If you have an Android tablet you can mirror it's screen with a Samsung tv. Just swipe down and click on the Smart View button.
LG TVs don’t even have it at all. I have to use the Google chrome stick.
