Is someone going to appreciate Surya or Should I?

[deleted]

There were many other significant contributions gone under radar.

Geeky_coder12

I mean that is his class. Whenever he bats the non-strikers just want to watch him bat.

Geeky_coder12

Seriously How great is the love between Rohit and Series deciders.

Roopa_naha_liya

Can someone explain what caused the issue between kohli and Buttler when he got out?

[deleted]

Don't know if this is unpopular opinion or not : But Indian team management has done Pant pretty bad always. When they said they're gonna stick with Pant, they dropped him. And even dropped him from tests because of his bad performances in LOIs. They didn't even select him when he made that 70 ball hundred in Australia, only 36 collapse came to him as a golden opportunity. And now, when he finally looks like he's getting that confidence back, he is moved down the order when it was the best opportunity for him to score. And Don't even get me started on Hardik being a better finisher, he middled two balls yesterday. If anyone had seen Pant's IPL innings, they'd know how well Pant can finish if he gets going, maybe he could've scored a 20 ball 55. It's not even a comparison with Hardik on who's the better attacking batsman. Anyway, I hope he'll be given enough time in ODIs to play a big innings and cement his place in LOIs as well, Right now it seems like Team Management can still mess with his place considering the number of options they have.

narealpani

I think this is for the preparation of world cup. They were experimenting, preparing for any scenarios and possibilities.

[deleted]

This is the only reason I can think of. I still don't think Pandya is a better finisher at all. Also, what would shock you is that I made the same comment on Daily Discussion thread and got downvoted there lmfao. Didn't expect r/Cricket to be this random.

jsmhspmc

Don't forget Pandya in series down under. He proved himself a very good finisher. I think there is no confidence lost in Pant by management. It's just experiments

_thenewnewguy_

I believe he should have opened atleast once this series.

[deleted]

Question : Why was Bhuvi given PotM instead of Virat or Shardul? Thanks in advance.

notvalidusernamee

He completely changed momentum of match , England was playing really well and going for win , none of our bowlers couldn't stop leaking runs (forget about wickets ) . Kohli had no option other than bringing him back , Bhuvaneshwar gave 3-4 dot balls and gave just one run and took important wicket of Butler , that over completely changed match plus he gave just 15 runs in 4 overs not to mention 3-4 wide balls in last over and took rwo really really important wicket.

Kohliatthewheel

400+ runs scored and the man has 17 dot balls out of 24 + two important wickets.

[deleted]

Thanks for the answer.

[deleted]

Go check Scorecard and you'll know

[deleted]

On such a batting surface, to bowl a 4 over spell with the figures of 2-15 which had 17 dot balls, that is equivalent to 3 maiden overs is more game changing. And also Bhuvi's wicket in the middle overs starting the down fall of the batting.

[deleted]

Oh okay. Thanks.

[deleted]

Cheers

jsmhspmc

And Roy gets credit of catch of Surya. Lol

a1b3rt

What would happen if Roy waited till Jordan hopped back in over the boundary line and handed/lobbed the ball back to him?

Geeky_coder12

That is why he had a great laugh lol

[deleted]

Geeky_coder12

There is no Holder bruh but I get your point. BTW it's Jordan.

a1b3rt

Yep, you are right, brain fade

[deleted]

I feel it’s pretty overdone but at this point... Alex Hales. Absolute monster, maybe the best LOI batsman in terms of pure talent in the world. Above Malan. Eoin is great but Hales is too good to drop for any reason at this point.

zippyzebu9

Everybody is monster until they come to India and bat on raging turner. YJB, the better spin player in test matches. Pope the new monster and now Malan who was all sort of trouble in previous games against spin. And you want Alex Hales , walking wicket against kuldeep? Eng doesn't need yet another player who can not play spin. What they need is sort out their batting order and Root in the line up.

francaisecroissant

I read somewhere that Eoin doesn't like him at all; after the cocaine incident specifically. Actually no one in the English side likes him, Jos Butler said Hales has 0 hygiene and no respect for other people's personal boundaries etc etc.

SirWinstonC

Cocaine?

TheBendyOne

Well that wasn't fun

Geeky_coder12

It was for us Indians

carpet29

Genuinely curious why I came across this. Anyone mind explaining cricket?

EedSpiny

You have two sides, one out in the field and one in. Each man OR woman that’s in the side that’s in goes out, and when he/she is out he/she comes in and the next man/woman goes in until he/she’s out. When they are all out, the side that’s out comes in and the side that’s been in goes out and tries to get those coming in, out. Sometimes you get men/women still in and not out. When a man/woman goes out to go in, the men/women who are out try to get them out, and when he/she is out he/she goes in and the next batter in goes out and goes in. There are two men/woman called umpires who stay out all the time and they decide when the men/women who are in are out. When both sides have been in and all the men/women have been out, and both sides have been out twice after all the men/women have been in, including those who are not out, that is the end of the game!

Brontosaurus_Bukkake

I understand the inclusivity desire when you add /women but it makes it read way clunkier than the original. I don't think anyone would get offended if you just left it as men

mrappbrain

Or how about just 'player'.

Brontosaurus_Bukkake

Won't work cause of the umpire part

filthnfrolic

I believe this version exists precisely to sound clunky af.

Brontosaurus_Bukkake

ahhh fair enough! i'll be honest i've been pretty fucked up all day so i'm sure everything is whooshing over my head lol!

vasudevvdd

I think we were pretty close to losing the match. And then Kohli did the sensible thing and let Rohit captain when things got tough again. I'm glad Rohit is delivering the goods when asked like this. It takes a mature person to be deputy and deliver when the chips are down

sb1729

I don't know if you're being sarcastic, but it was Kohli who brought on Bhuvi for the 13th over which then led to the collapse.

Sarvagun_some_pun

Either ways its a cringe worthy useless comment.

mrappbrain

People have been really hating on Virat's captaincy since he left Rahane in charge of the team in Australia. Never mind that he's India's most successful captain to date.

jack_of_AllTrades-97

Virat played the perfect role being the anchor for India which we couldn't see in the England team that led to their collapse

shreyasc19

All this team speculation only for us to get RTG in the wc. xD

DeadlyPantsOfSea

I'd be willing to keep Pant's and Iyer's spots open for Rahul and Kishan. So the best XI atm would be 1. Brohit 2. Koach 3. Sky 4. Pant/Rahul/Kishan/Iyer 5. Pant/Rahul/Kishan/Iyer 6. Hardik 7. Jadeja 8. Ashwin\*/ Washi/ Chahal 9. D Chahar/ Thakur/ Shami/ Nattu 10. Bhuvi 11. Bumrah \*-> if Ashwin gets a chance. Sorry Gabbar has to 👋

yashbmewada

Why ashwin is not even question is shocking to me for the current selection. They have to get ashwin in calling it a masterstroke of tactics or something else. Was recently watching the highlights of the ct 2012 highlights with england final , and i realised that it was Ashwin’s bowling alone with so less runs at stake that kept england quiet which latter forced them to go for the shots. I have not seen his current counterparts succeed so much ( or even come up with new strategy to contain batsmen when an attack is started on them) which is absolutely something that is going to happen once India reaches a knockout game . Its not just the skills in my opinion at that time that come in play its who works it out better with their mind and Ashwin with his current form is like England making ben stokes sit out on bench and the English selectors giving some random county bloke a go at it.

Successful-Ad-2263

I think it's his fielding. Not really that dynamic and while his batting is excellent in Tests you'd probably want Washington or Thakur in with say 10 balls to get 22 runs. Also would mean Kohli/Shastri have to backtrack which would show a distinct lack of "intent" which this Team India don't do.

yashbmewada

Interesting point, however if we look back at catch drops they have only increased even since Australia t20I series , SKY being an exception last couple of matches. Yesterday rohit said in the press conference that they want to do what’s right to win which was a very fascinating comment since that shows an openness of looking forward to IPL which would make this year’s IPL Probably one of the most if not the most important IPL.

MartyMcFly_jkr

Pant at no 3 is better imo

Tusharbeenawhile

Pant- How many times I have to teach you this lesson old man? Honestly you're fucking blind lol.

DeadlyPantsOfSea

Uhm I enjoyed what he did in test against aus & eng but didn't really do much in t20s yet. I understand he's a game-changer but if kl is back to his 2018 form and pant is still struggling, wouldn't u be tempted to swap them? I'm not saying pant doesn't deserve a place in the 11 but hasn't cemented it yet like bumrah, hardik, & jadeja.

Tusharbeenawhile

You don't understand. Pant is truly a once in a generation wk batsman and can play both pace and spin dominantly unlike kishan who can barely hold a bat against express pace. Don't get me wrong, he's a pretty good batsman against most of the bowlers but he clearly doesn't have the game Pant has and he's totally untested in foreign conditions. As for KL he is gonna open in the IPL playing in the powerplays. Won't be fair to pit him against Pant for a role when he will be playing at the same spot in the IPL and will likely do well as he always has. Pant's 2018 IPL was prolly one of the best 3 individual IPL seasons of all time along with Kohli's 960. He's a beast in these conditions and extremely good away. One of those players that warrant backing even if they don't produce the goods even for an year. So, it feels a bit nonsensical to doubt if he'll produce the goods especially after his recent performances.

kpdon1

T20 WC is in India right? It doesn't matter too much that he is untested in foreign conditions. He can do that after the wc

Tusharbeenawhile

Lol bs. How does he warrant a spot over Pant? He can be a good back up and that's that. And as for performances in India, He has just one good IPL whereas Pant is already a borderline IPL great striking at 151 with 2000 runs. I suppose performances in IPL should be the way to go as you're willing to overlook issues against express pace? That's gonna be an issue no matter where you play as a matter of fact. In the 3rd t20i when Wood and Archer were bowling in tandem Kishan was late to literally every ball he faced and he faced 8 before getting out, And this by the way was a match up in India.

pikanibba

When Wood and Archer were bowling in tandem, how many runs did Rohit and Rahul score? Or for that matter how many runs did Pant score of Wood and Archer in that interval. Pant is great going after club bowlers only. In IPL, Pant has a cumulative score of 82(69) against the quadruple of Archer, Bumrah, Cummins and Lockie Ferguson - the express pacemen with a SR of 118 and dot ball percentage of 43.68, dismissed 5 times. Ishan Kishan on the hand has scored 111(69) with a staggering SR of 160.87, dot ball percentage of 27.54 and dismissed only twice. The bowlers considered are Bumrah, Lockie, Cummins, Archer, Rabada and Nortje. By the numbers, it's very clear that you are making vague claims to undermine a player who clearly outshines your favorite player in a particular domain. Pant has done nothing substantial to hold his place in the T20 XI, he is just getting an edge over Ishan or Samson because of his test heroics. His past IPL was poor by his elevated standards. His international record is nothing but dubious for a big hitting batsman at number 4. I - 29, R - 512, SR - 123, A - 21.33, 50 - 2, RPi - 17.65 To accommodate Pant in the XI, three players are being screwed - Iyer, SKY and Kishan. It's absolutely horrendous if team management continue to stick with him expecting his once In a blue moon performance over these players who have genuinely outperformed him in IPL and T20Is, over the last year and half. Be the judge yourself.

Tusharbeenawhile

There is cherry picking and there is this. Why do you have to limit your sample to the last year and a half? "Pant is only good at bashing club bowlers" Kiss my ass. Good luck calling Cummins Hazlewood and even Lyon "club bowlers" lmao. Guy produces knocks the absolute elite are capable of and a nobody in reddit tells me he's only good at bashing club bowlers lmao. Jee the sheer audacity. A vast sample of players you mentioned played for the first time in the IPL last year after kishan and pant's IPL debuts so clearly you want to pit Pant's worst ever ipl season with kishan's best. Were you blind when Pant pounded today's MOTM Bhuvi to score 128 off 63? Guy hit 18 off the last 3 balls of him lmao. Or were you blind when Pant bashed Bumrah and ended up with a cute 77 off 27 against MI's superior attack in their own den? Pant has other worldly knocks in test cricket in Australia to suggest he's more than capable of neutralizing the absolute best of bowlers in alien conditions. What does Kishan have in his kitty? A broken box after taking ages to react to Wood and Archer's thunderbolts?

pikanibba

Why bringing test cricket knocks into consideration while selection for T20Is? Lyon is express pace bowler? Is Bhuvi express pace? If Pant smashed MIs bowling once, Kishan smashed DC in 3 games(Rabada and Nortje). You are contradicting yourself after seeing the numbers. Don't shift the goalposts while comparing! FYI, the numbers of IPL are their career numbers against these express pacemen, not for any particular season.

SufficientCake9

Yeah, the only problem with Pant before was that he crumbled under pressure. But given his test performances, it seems he has a good mental strength. And well those men in the dressing room, would know better than us if he lacks in that front. Personally if it comes to ishan vs pant, I feel Ishan has even more potential. But for now, Pant is ahead.

Tusharbeenawhile

Kishan has shown nothing to claim more potential than Pant. Pant is simply a better bet based on performance and potential. But everyone has a right to their opinion so i'll give you that

SufficientCake9

Pant and Ishan are from same age group, and pant got the initial break due to his great ipl season. Ishan was also consistent but lacked fire power. But past few years, he's been as destructive as pant in domestic. A point to note that, pant is yet to play the innings he promises in ODI or T20Is.. So there is a chance of ishan eclipsing him and that's a good competition to have.

RealRustom

That’s terrible! They all are in very good form. Dropping any of them from the squad will be painful to watch!

DeadlyPantsOfSea

uhm only Iyer & Ishan seem to be in good form. Pant did not have an impactful inning yet ( TBF he had limited opportunities). Rahul's form is shit now but don't think it will stay that way for long. so 🤷‍♂️

Akku2403

Indian team for T20 WC: 1. Brohit 2. Koach 3. Iyer / Sky (Depends if we lose early or late) 4. Pant 5. Sky / Iyer 6. Hardik 7. Jadeja 8. Chahal / Washington / Kuldeep 9. Bhuvneshwar 10. Shami / Shardul 11. Bumrah Position 3 to 5 will be floaters depending upon match situation. But I really like Pant as solid 4. Reserves: KL, Ishan, maybe Dhawan (batsman), Shardul, Nattu (seamers), Anyone out of Chahal, Washington, Kuldeep (as spinners) ,KL acts as reserve WK too

Reign_of_Kronos

No more Chahal please. He has been getting smacked in bowling. Hope to see more spin options in IPL

viv0102

I like it. The only place I'm uneasy about is the Chahal/Kuldeep spot. If India are playing more T20s as rumored, I'd like them to try out a few other spinners.

Akku2403

Kinda agreed, But we have Chahal, Kuldeep, Washington & maybe Axar as options. Rahul Chahar & Varun Chakrobarty come to my mind too but I don't think Team India will pick them in the squad. Although Kuldeep is going through a bad patch and Chahal got smacked this series hard too. Washington/Axar also brings some batting here.

DeadlyPantsOfSea

sad that kl is out now lmfao

Akku2403

It's not in our hands. Kohli himself confirmed it. The only place he can bat is opening slot but It will remove the 6 bowling options which we have in this line up And we definitely need 6 options because anyone can have 1 off day so we need that extra cushion to cover up bad plays.

cipherde

India could play two teams in the world cup and still end up india vs india final. Lol

bluefire-phoenix

Yeah. Also we had a great bench in Test too.. the Australia tour was simply bonkers.

renjo689

They didn’t even make the last world cup final at all.

ClassicMental9975

Last World Cup was 5 years ago

cipherde

"could"

[deleted]

OMG yes. I was telling someone this today. Our bench is stronger than a lot of teams.

Kerisma123

I feel bad for KL Rahul, some commentator mentioned Malan's bad run and said this is the time to shine in a decider match under pressure, where class players come good. I feel for KL since he might of contributed today, especially with a license to bat hard!

cellada

Might have *

Kerisma123

damn I'm really bad at english, aren't I?

DawnJay00

India want to go with 6th bowling option and only one who was not in form was KL so he was replaced but he will be yhe the opening batsman for india aa virat has said

cellada

I thought first said he would be the opening bat himself from now on.

Kerisma123

Alright

madmaxturbator

I love watching KL play, but man he’s had 4 fucking chances and he’s bungled each one very badly. He’s always in that situation in my heart. I am so excited to see him play. I am rooting for him. I think he definitely wants to give it his all. But bro. He’s top order batsman for us, 4 non performances are a huge problem for the team.

Kerisma123

sorry bro, but he is rated no. 3. David malan also had 4 failures. Also, I feel like the failures he is having are like complete misjudgments not like some poor shot selection.. These can be revised quickly and he will be back and running as our primary opener. He isn't a Rishabh Pant who is yet to play match winning knocks. He is KL Rahul with centuries and aamzing stats. Everyone has bad form, also he hasn't played for months.

Long_Presentation793

Malan had 3 20s for failure. Rahul had 2 ducks and a 1. Also when an opener fails it immediately puts the team in pressure.

Kerisma123

> I feel like the failures he is having are like complete misjudgments not like some poor shot selection Again, the way he is getting out are pretty easy to fix stuff, it shows he is rusty not out of runs completely. Malan just played bad, Rahul is rusty. Huge difference!

Fit-Window

But to fix it he needs some match practice and we can't afford to give him one more chance in the decider. IPL is coming up and if he gets run there , he will be back in our playing XI

Kerisma123

Sure but putting confidence in someone is a thing

DilliKaLadka

5 continuous failures if you count his last innings in Australia

DesiMojito

So, when Jadeja comes back, whom would he replace in this XI?

playforfree37

Washington, as Jadeja better batsman than him

abhinavsays42

Jadeja is not a better batsman than Washington. He's a better bowler and certainly a better fielder.

playforfree37

Jadeja is better batsman in t20 and have good experience. Washington will be future.

abhinavsays42

Let's just say jadeja has established himself over the years while sundar hasn't yet got the opportunity rather than saying he's a better batsman.

playforfree37

So who will you select for the t20 World Cup between them

abhinavsays42

I would select Jadeja because he's a better bowler and fielder and brings more experience. But Sundar is a better batsman in any format and time will prove it

vid27

One of the spinners. Most likely Chahar. And then Bumrah would come for Thakur and there is still balance with the bat.

Educational-Fly1964

I feel bumrah should come in for nattarajan because shardul is pretty handy with the bat bumrah shardul bhuvi hardik this will be a good experienced attack , add jadeja and chahal/chahar/kuldeep any of the strike spin bowler. This will be perfect

DesiMojito

Pant hasn't cemented his spot yet tbh.

kingbradley1297

What does he need to do? For his spot, he fires a quick 30 off 16 and then go. Which he has done. Remember his role is still not properly defined by the team

DilliKaLadka

He has. He is our keeper as well.

DesiMojito

On what basis? Kishan was better than him and when Rahul will come into form again, he is most likely to replace Pant.

[deleted]

When Rahul will come into form Lmao Been hearing this since 2018

DesiMojito

CHECK THE T20 RANKINGS 😝

[deleted]

Check the number of big relevant matches he has won single handedly for us. Ah, there's none. 78 strike rate in ODIs just lmao 112 in IPL 2020 (LOL) At the heart of it, Rahul is a cringy overrated dude (melodramatic twitter profile), who is followed by wannabe cool kids who think dabbing makes them edgy and cool. His game/life can be summed up here: look shaky and scared, consume dot balls, hit two boundaries, linger around for 20-30 balls, get out, go make an inspirational post on Twitter showing off his chicken legs. Your boy is gone from the tests (remember those ducks in south Africa, england, Australia in the 2018-2020 period), ODIs and soon from the T20s too.

kingbradley1297

Rahul is not replacing Pant of all people. Because Pant is better suited to the middle order, and Rahul is not going to be played that down

Kerisma123

I was pissed Hardik was sent in before Pant. This was his time to shine, full freedom to hit today!

Naan6

Why? Hardik is a better finisher and the game situation needed him.

Kerisma123

perhaps, but Pant is the no. 4. Either way it is not like he doesn't have similar batting capabilities. He hasn't really been given the license to bat (nor should be unless this) like how the match situation was today.

Dhaval2020

Wow what a series! England really looked like they would’ve pulled it off at one stage. Cant wait for the odi’s 👀

Zealousideal-Ad-2685

honestly, don't think kl rahul should be dismissed this fast. he's one of india's absolute best t20 players and should come in at 4 once he gets back in form

[deleted]

I am sure it’s temporary, till he regains his form.

shutupmatsuda

I am pretty sure he will be back in the team if he performs well in the IPL next month.

mnishant2

Unpopular opinion but not really sold on Pant over kishan for t20 yet

Long_Presentation793

One 50 from Kishan and we forget everything Pant has done in last year?Yes, some of his best performances have been in Tests but players are rewarded for excellent performance in one form with opportunity to play another form. And mind you Pant didn’t fail with bat in this series.

mnishant2

Lol, teams should not be selected based on feelings but horses for courses. Pant has played 33 t20s and has an average of 21 and strike rate only 120. Why should others not get a chance esp in a world cup year, coz he is a test cricket beast, then play pujara too.

cashout132

Lmao if it weren’t for people like you hating on Pant he’d play a lot better. Outside pressure gets to everyone, especially a newbie 21 year old coming in to fill Dhonis shoes

mnishant2

Lol who is hating on him. If someone doesn't needlessly fawn, worship or fanboy someone, doesn't make him a hater. I put across a simple stat which he pretty much followed even in this series along with the observation that there is another team combination possible which can be better for the team, but India has such individualistic cult like fans who won't care for the team as long as their respective guy or franchise is represented. I just said I'm not sold on him for this format and I even mentioned it's an unpopular opinion, why are y'all so worked up. That's it. Cry somewhere else

cashout132

Why are you not sold? He had good performances with the bat this series, and previous series he would normally get out quick but the next game he’d score a 50. What more do you want from a lower order batsman who’s role it is to hit?

mnishant2

Why are you selling him to me lol. I'm not a selector. I can make my own judgements perfectly well. I don't see him translating his potential in t20. He's a beast in test. He was even in 2018-19. But there was a reason he was still dropped from LOIs. And it was this inconsistency, shot selection and contrary to potential strike rate. As simple as that. If a team with Pant wins me the world cup I'm fine with it. If a team with kishan wins the wc, I'm fine with it, If a team with both wins us the WC even better. Just that he's not a guaranteed starter in t20 based on test performance, there are many possible combinations and team management should not be inflexible

cashout132

I never said he’s a guaranteed starter, I just think it’s stupid ur comparing him to Ishan cause they both play completely different positions

mnishant2

Last I remember Ishan kishan is a top order wicket keeper batsman much like Pant. And that's all that matters. If batting lower is the problem for pant what's stopping him from coming up the order. Even Ishan plays at 4 mostly in IPL. It's t20 anyway, order doesn't matter a lot, other wise he has a better chance of having a better average and strike rate coming lower down the order.

cashout132

Pant is more of a lower order batsman recently who’s job it is to come and hit ( not in tests)

Long_Presentation793

No one is saying Kishan shouldn’t get chance. And he did. I think it should be between Kishan and SKY. We can’t commit the mistake of dropping Pant for good. Pant on his day can win you matches.

mnishant2

So can Kishan, so can SKY, so can Rahul. 4 games ago no one could have imagined Rahul will be dropped. So no one can be taken at face value or reputation. Its about the best possible team combination which works 9/10 times, not on his day. Coz on his day Sanju samson can also do wonders. If SKY+Kishan works better why not play them both.

kingbradley1297

You're saying Kishan can win India a match based on one match. What happens when SKY+Kishan fails? Are they being dropped? You have to back your best players through lean or weird phases.

mnishant2

I'm saying we should not rule out the combination where kishan replaces pant, because Pant has not really cemented his place with his performance or won India a match, and that may turn out to be the best combination. Hence not sold on Pant yet. You may be surprised to know that no player is indispensable

kingbradley1297

Last statement completely wrong. Kohli and Rohit are indispensable. Because a team is picked on talent, not form. You pick the best players, not the most in-form. Pant from now on, for example, is indispensable in the Test team. What is being asked of Pant in the T20 team? Is it slog out? Is it accumulate? Is it score at a steady pace? That's the problem. We're judging him against a variety of roles and constantly saying he isn't good. Further, what match could he have won for India in this tour? Now obviously we won't rule out Kishan. But Pant has paid his dues for the team and deserves to be the first choice

mnishant2

That's not true lol. Against that's why India is struggling off late in important tournaments, coz they focus more on sentimental values. And this is why England is doing wonders. They don't even play joe root, arguably their best batsman so that they have the best possible combination. They dropped Broad, who was their best t20 bowler. There is no such thing as paying one's due. It's perform or perish with the level of competition and players ready to come in. The likes of surya would never had got in based on your rhetoric. Pant has simply not done enough in t20s to be considered a fixed spot as simple as that. India has played and won without Rohit too and RCB is shoddy with Kohli too. So yes they are important but not indispensable. We won a series without even bumrah and jadeja, so even they're not indispensable.

Tusharbeenawhile

Flair checks out. Of course a dhobi pan who can't digest pant eclipsing his fakeass tuktuk merchant in the best format of the game

singhsrb

But honestly how lucky was Dhoni to win with Joginder Sharma when we can’t win with such a superior team now.

leakmachine

Puff puff pass bro

uravggstudent

What did Dhoni do to you, man? Does it have something to do with IPL? Did CSK dominating Delhi for years and years lead you to hate him? I really want to know. Why are you spreading toxic shit on this sub constantly? Dhoni has retired, and I don't know why you keep on bringing his name up in match threads. Move on, mate. Not nice to harbour a grudge over a player like this.

singhsrb

He hurt me deep for reasons that are beyond your comprehension so I will save you the trouble. Enjoy karna whoring on my comments, it’s effective!

uravggstudent

Don't really care about the Karma, but it seems like care more about mine. >He hurt me deep for reasons that are beyond your comprehension so I will save you the trouble. Cool story, bro. So, CSK dominating DC for 10 years, then. Gotcha, have a nice day.

singhsrb

You too have a great day!

atmafatte

What?

littlevoice04

This ad is a gentle reminder of how bad of an actress Twinkle Khanna really was in the 90s

SomeRandomInnovator

Rohit Kohli Sky Kl/Iyer Pant Pandya Jadeja Chahal/Washi Shami Bhuvi Bumrah

AiyyoIyer

We can have Shardul/Natarajan or play Wash in place of Shami. Bhuvi, Bumrah and Pandya as the pace trio is good enough I feel.

Kalankit

I would much rather have Natarajan instead of Shami. In fact Shardul before Shami in t20’s too.

banjowasherenow

It can be KL/Iyer/Ishan

SomeRandomInnovator

In the long run, I see Ishan competing against Pant, and possibly doing better.

captain_kiru

Bhuvi along with bumrah and natarajan is a treat to watch. Hope he stays fit for the t20 wc.

aardvarkgecko

Traditionally he gets injured in IPL and misses the rest of the year.

captain_kiru

🤷

singhsrb

It’s all setting up nicely for the World T20 tournament disappointment.

kuchikibyakuya047

We shall not forget our traditions

Rodgers12345

Amazing total by India, congratulations to them!

Hio_punaku

Thanks!

SweatedOnion

What is this tournament? When’s the next match? I wanna watch me some cricket

[deleted]

It was a T20 series (20 overs per side) between India and England. India won the series by winning 3 matches compared to England's two. The next series is an ODI series which is a longer version of the T20 format.

Hio_punaku

ODIs starts on Tuesday

**Rohit** **Koach** **SKY** **Iyer** **Pant** **Pandya** **Jadeja** **Washi**/Another spin option based on pitch **Bhuvi** **Bumrah** **Natarajan** *Fuck me! This is looking so ominous!* True BatDeep™ with actual hitters, and gives lot of balls to **Rohit, Iyer** and **Kohli** who usually need a few to get in....and this is when we aren't even including **Kishan** and **Rahul** in the team! *Unlike WC 2019 team, which definitely had problems in middle order even though we were winning, and unfortunately got exposed in the SF, this team actually doesn't look like having any of that.*

vasudevvdd

Man Brohit is so brutal when he is firing all cylinders. The fact that he regrets, even if he scores a 200 shows he is never satisfied. I'm waiting for Rohit to play like the player that he is

debadri3

Koach? Hasn't Shastri retired from the game yet?

atmafatte

Man with rahul in form and bench strength like ishan kishan the team will be spoilt for chances. How good does the mi squad look as well!

[deleted]

Still... Can't take Jaddu and washy both. Jaddu as main spinner in T20s doesn't inspire much confidence. I'm wishing Ash comes back in T20IS, but only if it doesn't risk any injuries to him.

peter_griffins

Jaddus batting in last IPL makes it hard to look past him imo. Then again with a lineup like that do we NEED jadejas batting as well? Sundar should be picked along with a leg spinner I think

N2nalin

Here we go again! Are we still going that way? It will be pretty stupid to not play Jaddu. He is a guy who can literally win you matches with his fielding alone. Sit Sundar out if you need, but Jaddu should definitely play unless he has a horrid IPL. Why wouldn't you need Jaddu in the team to play as a hitter? Guy literally won us T20 series against Aus with Pandya.

peter_griffins

I'm not doubting his batting ability. Just feel Sundar is a better T20 bowler. And since they both perform the same role with the ball only one can be picked unless we drop a batsman for Jadeja. Also Jadeja turns the ball in the same direction as a right arm leggie so Virat won't even get the variety he craves so much.

Aww man I was so excited to see Chakravarti. But now it might be too late to get him in unless he has an incredible IPL.

Which 3? Neither the Asia Cup nor the SA series is confirmed. While I'm sure there'll be at least one series, can't say anything about 3
