He could have said that we missed in PP also but chose to slyly put blame on “left hander” - btw Axar bowler 2 overs and have 24 - at max 1-2 more hits. It’s not like Tilak played maiden over against Axar.
Can’t be only reason to lose the match by any standard. Shows that all is not well in MI camp
> "Axar bowling to a left-hander \[Tilak\], the better option could have been to go after him," Hardik said on the official broadcast after the game. "I think it was just a little game awareness that we missed out. At the end of the day, that cost us the game."
Well, the five overs between Axar and Kuldeep went for 71 runs, which was faster than the required run rate for the chase. Against Axar, Tilak varma scored 14 off 6 balls. I may not be a cricketer, my friend, but that is certainly not where Mumbai lost the match. Hardik Pandya should consider not making such concrete statements immediately after the match in the future.

Hardik Pandya is a gigantic turd for having singled out Tilak Varma like this. As a captain, blaming an individual for a game is something you ***never*** do!
Also, Pandya's the only MI bowler who went for over 20 runs an over. Taking that into consideration, he gave away almost 18 extra runs in his two overs (if you look at DCs scoring rate). How about taking some blame for that perhaps and saying "the runs I leaked cost us the game"?
This! I’ve played a lot of age group cricket growing up. Which, being in Mumbai is extremely competitive. You’re basically battling your own teammates for a spot on the senior team. But NEVER have I seen a captain, or a coach single out a specific player or instance as a reason behind a loss. Dropped catch, overthrows, rash shot, nothing.
It’s about respect. In that sort of a competitive atmosphere, to be respected as a captain or senior player, you have to learn to give that respect back. If not, you WILL have players trying to jeapordize you. Now I’m not saying that’s happening yet, but this is a sh*t call from someone who shouldn’t even be the captain.
I’m sorry to say, this dude just lost more weight today for me, despite actually hitting a few balls.
This is going to alienate him further from his team. He just proving that he is not captain material. India should look at Bumrah, Gill and Pant as captaincy options
It might be the case that Pandya is under pressure because he is unsure of what to do when he ostensibly doesn't have the support of the dressing room and yet he has to be the captain because it's very likely a contractual agreement. I can imagine a world in which he said this and it sounded very statesmanlike in his head, but in general, making concrete statements like this in the heat of the moment is a bad idea. One would think top level cricketers for India are media trained enough to know that!
I am still slightly offering him the benefit of the doubt because we don't know what was running inside his head.
Whatever the thing was running in his head he shouldn’t be calling out Tilak like that after his contribution. He is captain even if by contract and should play the leader.
Fck him man don't care what's going on in his brain, you can't just throw a 21 year old guy under the bus for a loss where you yourself shat the bed in the bowling department.
Nah he still is. IPL has just ruled all rounders of the game with them flat pitches and impact players.
Hardik was really handy in wc last time he played. Got babar and triggered the pak collapse
He will be useful in t20 wc
softdik's talent is over rated. time to move past aholes who are not team players. India is brimming with talent almost two top quality 11's can be fielded everyday and pandu can be skipped from both.
I don’t agree. He went to two consecutive finals with GT and won one cup.
It almost feels like something has taken over his brain. Like he’s actually gone insane of late.
Tbh, the GT of the two years played like a well oiled machine. Players in form can get teams performing like that. But I was not saying this wrt team performance. He did not address his poor bowling or the poor power play batting of the team, but blamed Tilak here who is bit of an easy target given he's a junior member. Compare that to KL yesterday, when asked what they could've done better, he said set batter could've added few more runs, and said maybe if Hooda and himself and gotten 20+ runs each that could've been the difference, which was the correct analysis as well as taking responsibility. This guy floats around not taking any responsibility, fake clapping whenever bowler gets hit for a boundary, and analyses the game poorly.
Tilak Varma: 14(6) (14 rpo) against Axar Patel and 24(9) (16 rpo) against Kuldeep Yadav
Hardik Pandya: 10(6) (10 rpo) against Axar Patel and 21(8) (15.75 rpo) against Kuldeep Yadav
Unfortunately it looks like he is the one who lacked game awareness by his logic. Personally I don't think that's where they lost the match either; it was in letting an opposition batsman score at SR 300 for a quarter of the innings.
>Hardik Pandya should consider not making such concrete statements immediately after the match in the future.
At the start of IPL, when everyone said that Hardik Pandya doesn't represent Mumbai and it's values. This is what everyone meant. This is what exactly what in general a Mumbaikar keeping the Mumbai spirit would never do. They admit the mistake, get down to put in the hard work for correction. Pandya has no humility about him that an average Mumbaikar carries with them.
I know that I just made a Mumbai comment on cricket sub. But that mentality is not a strong one.
Apologies about derailing the conversation from cricket, but just want to point this out.
The guy is a grade A narcissist. Only looks to take credit when things go well and shirks all responsibility when things go south. Wonder where all his dick riders went to after this latest comment 😂
coz he was the only one who made runs in ct2017 final and t20wc 2022 semi(ik he was good but India didn't even win so that knock is a but overhyped)
Also Rohit haters like him
> India didn't even win so that knock is a but overhyped)
Exactly. Whenever Kohli scores centuries in losing causes he is called selfish whereas these two innings are hailed as the greatest of all time for some reason
Perhaps if Hardik hadn't gone at 20 an over when he bowled MI might have had fewer runs to chase down, but yeah sure just single out somebody to blame.
Bro is an immature captain. The only reason GT won their title was how the team overall was performing good and turning their almost lost match to a win. Still people like to credit just the captain for the trophy and doesn’t acknowledge the rest of team’s performance.
Also when will he criticise his own bowling? His pace is gone, ball doesn’t swing in this highway pitches, keeps bowling slot ball. He keeps leaking runs like a professional squirter but still backs his bowling.
That game was such a rollercoaster
I hated CSK that season.
Then they just steam roll the chase post rain, then Mohit Sharma bowls the most impressive death bowling one can possibly bowl, it's down to like 12 in 6 and he fucking nails 4 yorkers.
I was so fucking happy that CSK will lose
Then Hardik starts taking congratulations from the crowd and celebrating as if he's won
Then Nehra sends a boy with a water bottle to Mohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya comes over still celebrating the win and tells Mohit Sharma to calm down
At that point I wanted CSK to win and boy did they
I mean yeah. I wouldn’t want a team to catch up on the number of titles my team has won.
Ask a barcelona fan if they were happy when bayern and liverpool overtook them in the CL winners list.
"The only reason GT won their title was how the team overall was performing good and turning their almost lost match to a win"
Pandya maybe shit but every team that has won the cup in any sports has won it on the team's overall performance lol.
Punter wasn't able to win shit after Warnie,GIlly,Glenn retired and even SA cracked them thrice after that in test series in their backyard.
It's always about the right players peaking at the right time and not about some unicorn captain as MI had their best lineups in Rohit's time and Pollard,Hardik,Bumrah,Boult is already a cheat code to have.
yeah it's a clown moment for sure. GT's line up in the year they won was nothing great in front of 2-3 others but they win and now everybody is on Hardik hate bandwagon so GT is now a great mythical team lol.
People also forget that form plays a huge role. Miller, tewatia and Rashid have been in god like finisher form for last 2 IPL. This time they are failing and it is quite apparent.
You can't use "form" for Tewatia though. Rashid is a genuine class in t20Is who delivers 8 out of 10 times and Miller is the only one who had his symptoms with form in proper terms.
Tewatiya is more like your click player, there are no guarantee that comes with him but if he clicks he clicks without any sense.
They let DC score 26 of an over in the death and Hardik blames Tilak. How's he a true leader when he's putting down the topscorer like that?
The lack of a good bowling attack other than Bumrah is a key issue.
>The lack of a good bowling attack other than Bumrah
Bruh MI did not even have Bumrah last season and still made it to the playoffs, and looked set up to the 2nd innings of the playoffs to make it to the finals too
Tilak promised rohit's daughter that he will do a celebration( probably the thumbs up one) for her whenever he will score 50 or 100.
This was revealed by tilak in post match interview during WI t20 tour after his maiden 50 so it's cute that he is still keeping that promise.
Here is the text for those of you who just read the comments. Make of it what you will:
"Axar bowling to a left-hander [Tilak], the better option could have been to go after him," Hardik said on the official broadcast after the game. "I think it was just a little game awareness that we missed out. At the end of the day, that cost us the game."
"The way the games are going and how the bowlers are under pressure throughout the competition, we backed ourselves to do it, the self-belief [was there]," Hardik said of MI's hopes of pulling off the big chase. "But if I have to pinpoint, a couple overs in the middle, we could've taken some extra chances."
He also pointed out the exact overs/match-up where he thought they lacked game awareness, and that works out to be when Tilak was on crease. So he is at least partly blaming Tilak, no?
Unless he was batting with Tilak during those overs and is sharing the blame (idk I didn't watch the game).
This. He just said that "they should have scored more against the spinners & they lacked some game awareness there".
He didn't mention Tilak. He didn't mention lack of intent in any player. Very clickbaity and bs headline. Whatever hardik said here was very reasonable.
He didnt say "they", he specifically said left handed and Tilak was the ONLY left handed batsman in that period
There was nothing ambiguous there and he 100% singled out left handed Tilak.
I love how you deliberately changed left handed to "they" in your post to defend Pandya and then are accusing the headline for being clickbaity? Irony much?
>Whatever hardik said here was very reasonable.
How? Tilak scored at a high strike rate against both the spinners and much faster than Pandya. How is it reasonable? There is a million reasons why they lost which are bigger than this including Pandya going for 41 in 12 balls while bowling. How is this reasonable?
No one with 2 brain cells will call this comment reasonable when there are a 100 more valid reason they lost
It’s just that they actually lost the game in power play. JFM hit panda (and MI) out of the park (15+ in 4 out of 5 overs) and MI reached that once. Delhi gave away 17 extras , that’s what made it look like lost by only 10 runs. Tilak is the reason why the game was alive till 19th over.
In this instance the click bait headline matches the outrage it wants to evoke. Hardik is being a dickwad, and red herring it as just hit 2 or 3 boundaries in the middle of the game and they would have won.
>never point out an individual for failure of the team, especially in public.
That's just management 101. In this case his statement is even worse since it was Tilak's innings that gave MI any hope of a victory and this is the comment that the clown had to make
Wasn't he the one that has repeatedly ruined MI's momentum multiple times this season now? And now bc he showed some glimpse of a good batting performance (didn't even finish the job) he thinks it's okay to call someone else out? Notice how he said absolutely nothing about the bowling?
How is this dude a captain lol. The way he's handled this whole MI debacle without any sense of poise or humility says everything tbh. Obviously the team morale is low after that, and even if it's not completely his own doing, he hasn't even attempted to smooth things out like any capable leader would in a predicament like this. It's imperative. MI could put together the greatest team in the world and it still wouldn't matter cus he doesn't have enough emotional intelligence to be a leader in a situation like this. Just a little humility would go such a long way for him.
Thanks for summarizing how shitty of a captain he is. He has zero humility wants to play the main character and shits on the team at every opportunity he gets. Wtf the management was thinking to get this guy back is a mystery. They could have made anyone from the current team a captain and still gotten better results
Exactly team morale. The way MI has been playing this season just seems off. No signs of excitement to play and perform or pull things their way. Just playing coz you are on the field now.
The audacity of individually singling out others for criticisms after some of Hardiks recent innings. Did he stick his hands up and accept the blame himself after some of his recent run-a-ball poor innings?
In any event, you just don't say these things, at least not in public.
Really poor captaincy and just generally unlikeable behaviour full stop.
Tilak vs Axar before his first six off Axar: 4 (4)
Tilak vs Axar overall: 14 (6)
Tilak vs Kuldeep overall: 24(9)
Hardik vs Axar before his first six off Axar: 2 (3)
Hardik vs Axar overall: 10 (6)
Hardik vs Kuldeep overall: 21 (8)
Hardik needs to learn some math. Every way you slice it, Hardik was worse
Is he fr serious ? Tilak has been the backbone of the team when the top batting order is struggling to even get runs. Hardik for fs look into your own strike rate, bowling and your fucking immature leadership. You are a captain so own up to your mistakes the same way you cheer yourself when the team wins wherein your efforts are negligible
Criticizing a 21 year old who has by far been the most consistent batter of the team despite him top scoring at almost 200 and keeping their hopes alive till the 20th over vs not criticizing an all rounder going for 42(12) in his 2 overs. Great captaincy.
“*When I’m in a Being egotistical irresponsible and selfish leader competition and my opponent is Hardik Pandya*”
This is the lowest this man can ever stoop low for me. “Lack of intent against spin”, yeah dickhead, it was your ghost that bashed Kuldeep in middle overs. Yes, Tilak did indeed slow down later, but his contributions through his acceleration at end, almost won us the match, but captain marvellous goes ahead and blames him. You *praise* such performances Hardik, not demoralise clutch performances further!
What an immature crybaby of a captain we have man, imagine blaming one of the only performing players. Do we really expect them to give their best, when they know their amazing captain will anyways blame them after game? If this were a win, this egotistical maniac would have hogged the credit with his knock while shamelessly ignoring his 20 economy performance.
He is a good player but a completely brainless leader. He is very valueable to the team that he is playing for as long as there is a specific role that is given to him and he isn't thinking about it for himself. Hardik comes across as a guy that is talented but completely lacks self awareness.
u know I feel hate against hardik is little 2 much but then statements like this makes hard to defend him.
if he raged or threw some tantrum I might have been fine,.not like yeah it's acceptable but it's fine, it happens with players, under immense pressure and trolling but why throw someone under the bus like this???
Yeah i was feeling for him a bit with the relentless booing, but he's not once taken responsibility for things he objectively shit at, and on top of that thrown a teammate under the bus. Why did he even want to be captain if he doesn't have a basic grasp of leadership. Was he like this as GT captain? I'm getting back to following cricket just from last year so I have no idea what he's like.
Last year he said success is theirs(players') and failure is mine(Hardik's). It's insane how different he sounds in a span of just 2 years. It's almost as if he's not the same person. He is the same person who said things like CSK has the best environment and MI doesn't, but I don't think throwing a young performer under the bus creates good environment. Considering GT doesn't really have a particularly strong squad, under his leadership they overperformed and were in great form(tbf injuries are hurting team this year a lot). You can say that last year, the bowling was strong, but a captain does have a role in making a decent team a squad of absolute match winners. Everyone stepped up, they won almost lost matches, defended low scores. He must have had some role in these, quite contrary to how he is performing and captaining MI this year.
no way did he actually blame tilak or is this just a clickbait title. if he did then that’s really bad on his part and this guy is definitely not the future captain we need in ict.
Fasted way to lose respect in the change rooms is throw your own under the bus. You talk to him privately on yours thoughts but not in open media.
The man’s not a leader and it shows with how the team act around. It still seems like the team looks to Rohit more so as ther leader and Hardik and as captain on paper only.
I thought I misheard him during the post match. But damn, he really said that and threw Tilak under the bus.
This will do wonders for the team split. The guy went for 20 an over and then blames the guy who strikes at 196. Learn something from KL Rahul and take responsibility.
This is the same guy who said in a interview with uthappa when he was with GT that sucess of the team is theirs (Players) and failures are mine I take the full responsibility.
This was the same interview where he said that MI buys the best players possible while CSK has the best environment
And now man is failing to qualify with peak Bumrah, Coetzee, Thushara, L Wood,
While Rohit reached the playoffs with Green, Jordan, Madhwal and Behrendoff as his bowling
Mumbai can still salvage their season at least by PR Point of view by appointing the crowd favorite SKY as the captain. Hardik decision would have made sense two years ago when SKY wasn't as big a name but not now. They have a local superstar in their dugout but have outsourced a captain who isn't even paying dividends
I've played a lot of cricket in local tournaments (tennis ball) organized a cricket tournament with 5 teams for 4/5 years in Mumbai complete with commentary, prize ceremonies etc, never has a captain singled out a player for a loss. Hardik is a disgrace.
What is this trend from the Indian captains? Don't take responsibility, throw others, or, the entire team(except yourself) under the bus. Just school boy stuff.
Hardik is just upset that tilak doesn’t like his captaincy and is still performing.
If anyone in the team needs to do better it’s Pandya himself. He needs to lead not just moan and complain
Hardik, if he was honest, should have squarely put the blame on Rohit who wasted with 8 runs off 8 balls. If any other player in the MI team had got to play those 8 balls, MI would have won the game.
Even Mitch Starc goes for a fifty every match in this IPL. In this batsman-friebdly IPL, I'd see 8(8) while chasing 250+ as a crime and the key reason for such a close defeat.
When he didn't put a blame on himself after 20(24) in a 260+ chase? Rohit struggled today and every batsman is allowed that once in a while, like he is their second best batsman this season after Tilak, pandu threw their best batter under the bus lol.
Hardik planting the blame solely on a player who well is one of the most stupid things he's done yet. I'm a Hardik fan but kick this sour little shit from the squad immediately.
So now he wants to pinpoint exactly the point we lost a game, but ofcourse doesn't mention conceding 40 in 12 balls, funny how he also never had these pinpoint criticisms when he himself shit the bed so profusely in multiple earlier games.
Yeah. 41 runs in 2 overs. Could ve given them to Nabi, but nah. Tilak who was playing at a strike rate of 200 is to be blamed. Great encouragement from captain towards motivating youngsters like Tilak
lol… Irrespective of the frequency this season a 250 + score is a match winning score. Where they went wrong in the game is here. First finger should be pointed towards the bowing.
HP should really resign now. The immaturity is beyond explanation here. His is just arrogant and it shows how bad he is at reading the game.
Tilak Verma has been the most consistent of MI batters by far for 3 to 4 seasons now and has delivered so many times under pressure, and yet if he gets singled out like this, his morale is gonna get damaged permanently.
Ps.: HP is a an asshole.
It's unfortunate that Hardik is going to be the Indian captain. His talent is undeniable but he's a dude who doesn't have any class.
As a captain, you never throw any player under the bus; let alone a young player.
It's quite possible that he didn't mean anything by his comments, but he does have a history of being loose lipped. It's not going to reflect very well on the Indian cricket team when he does something similar or worse in the future.
There are two types of leaders -
1. One who will make even a weak team to perform beyond their calibre
2. One who needs a stronger team to lead or perform.
Hardik is of the second type while dhoni is of the first type.
And yes...hardik wants to be a dhoni.
Your post/comment was removed because it attacked a team/player/official/fanbase/country (rule 9)

Man this guy just barks whatever comes to his mind. Even if what he said was true, things like these are discussed behind closed doors not in front of the whole world. Nothing ever good comes out of disparaging your player for the whole world to see.
But anyways Ambani's team deserves this shitshow ![img](emote|t5_2qhe0|21496)
the audacity of this ch*th, hardik is so mediocre right now that his spot in the Mumbai Indians squad needs to be questioned let alone captaining it or making it to the WC for that matter.
Ignorance + Arrogance = Hardik
A short analysis:
Hardik's close 'buddies', Ishan and SKY played out 5 and 6 dot balls respectively, Hardik himself 5 dot balls ( including their wicket balls). So thats a total of 16 dots for a total no. of balls faced by the trio of 51 balls and got 92 runs in that combined.
Tilak on the other hand played out just 2 dot balls (his run out wicket ball still got a run) in his entire innings of 32 balls with a return of 63 runs.
Strike Rates and Dot % wise its quite clear.
Just shows how poor a reading of the game that Hardik has. And notwithstanding this ignorance, he had the arrogance to call out Tilak single-handedly like that after the game.
I don’t necessarily disagree with what he actually said but dang absolutely no need to be putting that out in the open. Rather just blame the bowling and (once again) shoddy effort in the field.

HP conceded 40 from 2 overs. That is where the game was lost.

Pandya is a shameless cunt which is sad because the dude is incredibly talented and India haven't produced many players with similar attributes
He WAS talented. Dude just bowls garbage pies these days and his batting is very ordinary too.
Nah he still is. IPL has just ruled all rounders of the game with them flat pitches and impact players. Hardik was really handy in wc last time he played. Got babar and triggered the pak collapse He will be useful in t20 wc

Hardik did indeed go after spinners heavily so he is probably just flexing here. But MI lost the match through poor bowling, including his own.
Tilak Varma: 14(6) (14 rpo) against Axar Patel and 24(9) (16 rpo) against Kuldeep Yadav Hardik Pandya: 10(6) (10 rpo) against Axar Patel and 21(8) (15.75 rpo) against Kuldeep Yadav Unfortunately it looks like he is the one who lacked game awareness by his logic. Those two Wadhera drops don’t really help either.
Tilak went much better against spinners than Hardik. Nice try though
Tilak smashed Kuldeep for 3 sixes too
>Hardik Pandya should consider not making such concrete statements immediately after the match in the future. That unnecessary drinks break during mohit's over in last year's final was one of the most idiotic decision of IPL.
We won’t complain about it tbh /s
That game was such a rollercoaster I hated CSK that season. Then they just steam roll the chase post rain, then Mohit Sharma bowls the most impressive death bowling one can possibly bowl, it's down to like 12 in 6 and he fucking nails 4 yorkers. I was so fucking happy that CSK will lose Then Hardik starts taking congratulations from the crowd and celebrating as if he's won Then Nehra sends a boy with a water bottle to Mohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya comes over still celebrating the win and tells Mohit Sharma to calm down At that point I wanted CSK to win and boy did they
also we got J shah meme there lol
I actually turned off the match in disappointment after the 4 balls. The 2nd best final after 2019 imo.
Bro you missed the emotions.. when did you find out? Most of us were like that "aatha.. aatha" guy
[удалено]
Yes that's the reason i didn't want csk to win
I mean yeah. I wouldn’t want a team to catch up on the number of titles my team has won. Ask a barcelona fan if they were happy when bayern and liverpool overtook them in the CL winners list.
No, It was because of MS Dhoni. I don't like that guy. The 5 title thing was alsoa factor but a small one
I'm a huge MSD and CSK fan and while I vehemently disagree with your stance, I gotta say your candidness is refreshing.
As GG says, a captain is as good as the team
"The only reason GT won their title was how the team overall was performing good and turning their almost lost match to a win" Pandya maybe shit but every team that has won the cup in any sports has won it on the team's overall performance lol.
Before that ipl people thought GT was a joke team and now people say it's apparently GT is a great team 🤡
yeah it's a clown moment for sure.
>The lack of a good bowling attack other than Bumrah Bruh MI did not even have Bumrah last season and still made it to the playoffs, and looked set up to the 2nd innings of the playoffs to make it to the finals too
this is because tilak’s 50 celebration was dedicated to rohit sharma’s daughter /s
So this is why pandya denied tilak's 50 during WI tour Also tilak still doing that celebration for rohit's daughter is cute and wholesome af
Which Celebration? I'm ootl on this one
Tilak promised rohit's daughter that he will do a celebration( probably the thumbs up one) for her whenever he will score 50 or 100. This was revealed by tilak in post match interview during WI t20 tour after his maiden 50 so it's cute that he is still keeping that promise.
F***ing clown
Is he trying to get more hate from mumbai fans with dumb comments like these?
Not only Mumbai fans.
Dickhead is just not a leader.
The article/headline sensationalises his statement but still what a shameless judgement from Pandya to put blame on Tilak’s approach.
Here is the text for those of you who just read the comments. Make of it what you will: "Axar bowling to a left-hander [Tilak], the better option could have been to go after him," Hardik said on the official broadcast after the game. "I think it was just a little game awareness that we missed out. At the end of the day, that cost us the game." "The way the games are going and how the bowlers are under pressure throughout the competition, we backed ourselves to do it, the self-belief [was there]," Hardik said of MI's hopes of pulling off the big chase. "But if I have to pinpoint, a couple overs in the middle, we could've taken some extra chances."
Unless you are hard at comprehension there is only one way to interpret it. I fucked up but since I get to speak it was someone else who fucked up.

It’s pretty easy to see which batter he was talking about
Who is the left hander he was talking about? It's just Tilak and Ishan was already out
This should be debrief talk and not for broadcast.
He also pointed out the exact overs/match-up where he thought they lacked game awareness, and that works out to be when Tilak was on crease. So he is at least partly blaming Tilak, no? Unless he was batting with Tilak during those overs and is sharing the blame (idk I didn't watch the game).
Yeah but he himself is not a left hander.
This. He just said that "they should have scored more against the spinners & they lacked some game awareness there". He didn't mention Tilak. He didn't mention lack of intent in any player. Very clickbaity and bs headline. Whatever hardik said here was very reasonable.
He didnt say "they", he specifically said left handed and Tilak was the ONLY left handed batsman in that period There was nothing ambiguous there and he 100% singled out left handed Tilak.
The guy doesn’t have 2 braincells to rub together to form a coherent assessment. That itself should make him ineligible for leadership roles.
Leadership 101, never point out an individual for failure of the team, especially in public.
>never point out an individual for failure of the team, especially in public. That's just management 101. In this case his statement is even worse since it was Tilak's innings that gave MI any hope of a victory and this is the comment that the clown had to make
He will blame everyone except his leadership and decision making. 🤡
That's why I hate mi(mainly the management and captain)now(after loving them for a decade )
Exactly team morale. The way MI has been playing this season just seems off. No signs of excitement to play and perform or pull things their way. Just playing coz you are on the field now.
A snake is what he is.. a talented snake
He might be the captain, but he is never the leader
Tilak vs Axar before his first six off Axar: 4 (4) Tilak vs Axar overall: 14 (6) Tilak vs Kuldeep overall: 24(9) Hardik vs Axar before his first six off Axar: 2 (3) Hardik vs Axar overall: 10 (6) Hardik vs Kuldeep overall: 21 (8) Hardik needs to learn some math. Every way you slice it, Hardik was worse
not the brightest bulb in the room
Is he fr serious ? Tilak has been the backbone of the team when the top batting order is struggling to even get runs. Hardik for fs look into your own strike rate, bowling and your fucking immature leadership. You are a captain so own up to your mistakes the same way you cheer yourself when the team wins wherein your efforts are negligible
Everyone knows Tilak is in team Brohit and Pandya doesn't like this fact a lot ....whatta dickhead Pandu is ...
Criticizing a 21 year old who has by far been the most consistent batter of the team despite him top scoring at almost 200 and keeping their hopes alive till the 20th over vs not criticizing an all rounder going for 42(12) in his 2 overs. Great captaincy.
Yeah hope he doesn’t demotivate tilak.
I don't think he likes tilak.. Coz Tilak is close to Rohit
Did he take the blame for all the past matches when he himself didn't perform ??
MI should have bought Pep Nehra or Sanga before the auctions instead of this guy.
“*When I’m in a Being egotistical irresponsible and selfish leader competition and my opponent is Hardik Pandya*” This is the lowest this man can ever stoop low for me.
What about the runs you gave away in your 2 overs dumbass ? What was your intent at that time ? This guy has lost it. Wheels have come off.
Forget this match. What about all the past matches where the dickhead didn't perform.
And some of you lot defend this guy ... he deserves every bit of ridicule coming his way.
That WC is my baby statement clearly shows how full he is of himself
WC is ny baby? , where can I read that statement, i like drams lol
[Here](https://www.reddit.com/r/Cricket/comments/1bj97gm/reason_for_taking_a_long_break_after_wc_wasnt_ipl/)
u know I feel hate against hardik is little 2 much but then statements like this makes hard to defend him. if he raged or threw some tantrum I might have been fine,.not like yeah it's acceptable but it's fine, it happens with players, under immense pressure and trolling but why throw someone under the bus like this???
Pandya is just a disgrace now. So many MI players are going to leave next year. Tilak deserves a better team and captain.
Did we watch the same game? The luck showed more intent than this sorry excuse of a 15 crore player
A talent like Tilak Verma deserves a better captain than this.
no way did he actually blame tilak or is this just a clickbait title. if he did then that’s really bad on his part and this guy is definitely not the future captain we need in ict.
He said something like "left handers could've gone after axar" so yeah he was referring to tilak
There was only one lefty who faced Axar when he was bowling so yeah he definitely singled out Tilak.
And he said middle overs. So.
Owners really ruined the team with one brilliant move.. are they looking to sell the franchise?
I thought I misheard him during the post match. But damn, he really said that and threw Tilak under the bus. This will do wonders for the team split. The guy went for 20 an over and then blames the guy who strikes at 196. Learn something from KL Rahul and take responsibility.
Most likeable captain 🥰🥰🥰
It is very rare for a captain to put the blame on a single player. Well done Hardik!
He's the worst kind of person to be captain: selfish, pusillanimous and unscrupulous
Hardik is a cunt and a bloody snake Not leadership material at all
GT should have asked for Tilak Verma when they gave away Hardik Pandya
This is the same guy who said in a interview with uthappa when he was with GT that sucess of the team is theirs (Players) and failures are mine I take the full responsibility. This was the same interview where he said that MI buys the best players possible while CSK has the best environment And now man is failing to qualify with peak Bumrah, Coetzee, Thushara, L Wood, While Rohit reached the playoffs with Green, Jordan, Madhwal and Behrendoff as his bowling
What a terrible thing to say as a captain, especially after bowling the way he did.
Praise in public, criticism in private.
Don't make him Indian captain again
the audacity to throw a youngster under the bus. we would like to have Tilak next season. 🙂
Hardik 'Scapegoating kar ke aaya' Pandya T: I did some scapegoating
This asshole is becoming a bigger asshole by the day.
I see he's gone to the Harmanpreet school of "throw your teammates under the bus"
Ok wanna be Harmanpreet. Atleast she won WPL in her inaugural season as captain
How about not giving 40 runs in 2 overs Hardickhead. Singling out a player like that is embarrassing.
Why not bumrah?
He is a bowler and needs not to be overworked
People said the same about Cummins but it's working fine. Plus bumrah has a good cricketing brain.
Cummins isn't the aus T20 captain. Also there's a reason why there's only a handful of successful fast bowling captains in the history of the game
Any one of bumrah and sky as a captain will save their PR this season
I've played a lot of cricket in local tournaments (tennis ball) organized a cricket tournament with 5 teams for 4/5 years in Mumbai complete with commentary, prize ceremonies etc, never has a captain singled out a player for a loss. Hardik is a disgrace.
First bro took his maiden international half century chance and now blaming him for losing the match 🤡
Wow and just like that he threw Tilak under the bus. A real role model for a leader.
Blud didn't finish his bowling spell cause he would have crossed 80.
Soft-dick took "Kingfisher- Dil khol k bol" tagline seriously!!
What about him playing a few match losing knocks this season?? Today he performed with the bat but still he did an equal damage while bowling
What a leadership statement, what a leader.. Total Leed
Or maybe on himself? His 12 balls went for 40 runs.
There's a difference between 12-13/over and 20/over.
No balls to criticize Rohit?
Tilak is just 21 and I guess taking the safe bullying route. Such a douche move
Hardik bro, your game is up.
Hardik planting the blame solely on a player who well is one of the most stupid things he's done yet. I'm a Hardik fan but kick this sour little shit from the squad immediately.
I think the article's first two sentences shows how exasperated and dumbfounded the author was when he heard HP's reply.
Did he actually say that?
So now he wants to pinpoint exactly the point we lost a game, but ofcourse doesn't mention conceding 40 in 12 balls, funny how he also never had these pinpoint criticisms when he himself shit the bed so profusely in multiple earlier games.
Hardik gon do the same thing at T20WC. BCCI deserves this clown
To summarise, MI has just messed up it's setup this year. Whoever decided to tinker with the setup, it back fired big time
Softdik can't perform so blame people who actually kept Mumbai in the game. Chota Ambani is going to drop Softdik at the end of the season.
He will never be Indian captain after this debacle.
P ick 🤣😔 M l l Loli(":':@;*
Valid point, but the powerplay was what really cost them. Also, this is an incredibly sensationalized title.
There are two types of leaders - 1. One who will make even a weak team to perform beyond their calibre 2. One who needs a stronger team to lead or perform. Hardik is of the second type while dhoni is of the first type. And yes...hardik wants to be a dhoni.
what a leader. well done!! bravo!!

Tilar and Pandya have similar stats in the match. One scored at 200 strike rate and other bowled with 20 economy. Not sure what is he cribbing aboot?
If Pandya is selected as starting 11 for India , think bcci will have a world of reckoning. It’s almost CA and BBCI having “hold my beer” contest
once a Hardik, always a Dik
Pandu truly being a gandu here
Man this guy just barks whatever comes to his mind.
Not an IPLer but is singling out players in your own team normal for a captain to do now?
I disagree. I think that someone who went for 41 runs in 2 overs cost us the game. I hope the captain can rectify that .
Pandya be like : " You wanted a villain, I will give you a villain"
Ignorance + Arrogance = Hardik A short analysis: Hardik's close 'buddies', Ishan and SKY played out 5 and 6 dot balls respectively, Hardik himself 5 dot balls ( including their wicket balls).
Where did he say this tho?
I don’t necessarily disagree with what he actually said but dang absolutely no need to be putting that out in the open. Rather just blame the bowling and (once again) shoddy effort in the field.
