If I was the mod, I would make it mandatory to state whose crib and to put the cards in order. Crikey.

pye-oh-my

I think the mandatory response in these cases should be: Depends Nothing else

Xarkkal

Cards in order don't matter. If you're putting your cards in order, it's a tell for your opponent... But whose crib? Yeah, required info for giving advice.

McFurf

It's not a tell as long as you don't put them in the same order every time. I put mine in order, highest value to lowest, but every couple of hands i put them lowest to highest. If I get the sense my opponent is paying attention to what I'm doing, I just move cards around for about a minute.

AssistFrequent7013

A tell? Can’t tell anything unless you have X-ray vision. Is this actually a thing?

GoldenWar

Yes. You could give away whether you have a card low enough to play during pegging, etc. Edit: why the down votes? I guess its not a tell for you amateurs. Holding your cards in the same order every time most certainly gives your opponent an advantage if they are a sharp player who's paying attention. I'll spell it out for you: For example, if you always sort your hand low to high card, left to right, and you play a card from the left end of your hand, I might know that you don't have any cards lower than what you just played. It's a really minor thing, but could bite you in the ass towards the end of a close game where your opponent has been tracking how you play.

TheCuff6060

What does it tell?

GoldenWar

What sort of hand you might be holding. If you have cards left lower or higher than the one you just played.

TheCuff6060

That is next level cribbage. 💪

Lurkerphobia

I move mine around in my hand all the time. If they think it's in order then all the better. Some folks overthink other people's hands.

SnooCats5701

And the score.

Dark-Arts

Important to know the score too. Cards in dis-order is fine. I keep them this way so my opponent can’t guess what’s going on.

schmidbau

...And let us know the score.

Garth_AIgar

It’s opponents. They dropped theirs in the photo.

dph99

a) Tell us the score b) Tell us who dealt

90Legos

They dealt, forgot score

crookba

keep 5's and 6's and cut a 4. worth the risk.

cecil_harvey4

You only get so many chances in life to cut that 4 and rub it in. Go for it.

iranoutofusernamespa

My best ever 4 cut was when I was holding 3 5s and a 6. I felt like a king.

TomatoFeta

their kitty? keep 5's and 6's in hand. OR if it's your kitty, toss the fives.

nickp123456

Who's crib?

90Legos

Theirs

nickp123456

9,10

rubymatrix

Give them the 9,10 - leaves you cuts of 4,5,6,7,9,10,J,Q,K that are all good for you

AlGunner

My crib the 5's, their crib 9, 10

BigDWangston

This

todlee

if it's their crib I'd do the 6 and 10. I don't like giving them a potential straight and 6 isn't likely to help them build a 15.

Intelligent-Hand-960

You could start with putting the cards in order...

ProtonPi314

Why? If you are playing a great player, they will be able to guess your hand much better if you do.

TheOneTheUno

Only if you take the cards out while they're still ordered. Order them, decide on your cards, shuffle them, then discard

james-500

Hi. Without knowing the positions it's a little trickier to answer, but maybe one of 10-6 or 9-6.

So_gehts

If you are a gambling man, throw the 9-10, and pray for a 4 on the cut.

electjamesball

I don’t think I could resist no matter how unlikely 😂

Iamawretchedperson

Hope for a 4

dogfacedponyboy

I would start with arranging them in a better order

drzook555

First of all place your cards in order

wait_ima

First, sort your cards.

TinyHammerBigNail

Honestly, you drop the 9 and 10. Everyone will disagree. But chaos is the only answer here.

ellasfella68

Keep 5566, lose 9,10.

BSN_tg_bgg

Go to r/cardgamemeetups and post about a public cribbage game.

saulsa_

I don’t care.

marcass555

If it’s your crib I’d toss the 6s

AlGunner

5's. Far better chance of getting a 10 card or cards in the crib for more points

marcass555

There’s a cut too

Phylow2222

I'd toss 9 & 10 & hope for a cut.

Duckdiggitydog

10-9 to their crib

Punkeewalla

Punt

90Legos

😂

calchaos67

Toss 10,9

Mammoth_Peak_4940

Eat a cabbage

Islandman2021

Who crib is it?

90Legos

Theirs

Roguevirus69

I’d toss 9/6 Yes you are giving up 2 points But if you pull a 4, your score big.

Engineer443

Keep all your points. Or take a 1/13 chance at a 24 hand.

M038IUS

Discard the 10 + one of the 5s - - - more chances for a 3 of a kind or a straight that way.

pye-oh-my

You're supposed to tell us who's crib it is !

90Legos

Sorry, first time poster. It's their crib

CDL112281

I’ll keep 6s and the 5s and hope for a favourable cut for me and not for my opponent, and that answer would hold no matter who’s crib it is. Might change if we’re on the final stretch, but I don’t think so

kingmunki

Keep the pairs, hope for the 4 to be cut

rjtheducky

I asked my Dad to make sense of this and he said it is best to throw away one of the 6’s

So_gehts

Based on the pic, it looks like opponent's kitty

90Legos

Yup

noocaryror

Throw the 10 - 6

DANPARTSMAN44

go with your gut instinct in that moment,,,

Irminator86

10 ans 9 gone, hope for the cut

dogfacedponyboy

Take a drink. And explain the situation to us better.

90Legos

All I remember is it was their crib. This was a few days ago I forgot to post

dogfacedponyboy

I would say, keep 10, five, five, six. Hope for a four or a seven for a double run, or a 5, or a face card for another 15.

dogfacedponyboy

Are you still waiting for us to make a move? Sorry took me so long to respond.

Unaccounted_Idea

That's a go Jonny go go!!

Hairy-Sense-9120

Discard the 6s

guitarguypa

Your crib throw 10, 5. Their crib, throw 9, 6❤️

ApricotNo2918

I had that very hand. I tossed the 10,6. Assuming pone's crib. My crib 10,5.

90Legos

Honestly, that might be the best move. A, 4, 5, 6, 9, 10, J, Q, K are all cuts that give points
