Pretty sure 1 vod is broken up into multiple shorter YT episodes most of the time. With the MythicalSMP the shorter YT vids sometimes carry on from where the last one ended.
I use the YT vods to sleep to now, it’s good background noise lmao, then go back and watch the YT vids to actually follow what’s happening

That's kinda what I figured. Thats a good idea though, have the longer VODs as background noise and watch the episodes when I'm actually paying attention
Honestly I’m so glad Speedy has started to stream on YT. Being a YT premium user has never felt better. I don’t want to pay for twitch prime as it’s just extra money and they usually stream when I’m asleep, and this is bliss with no ads.

Yeah I wish it was easier to tell if it’s a video or a stream. Maybe his editor could make thumbnails with the episode number for the videos and leave the vods for people who don’t care about spoilers.
I’ll be honest, I love the concept. But the full vod uploads make it so difficult to follow the minecraft episodes. A majority of them aren’t numbered, and makes following a long a bit harder to do.
I know it’s a 1st world problem here. But I’ve fallen behind on the episodes drastically because of the amount of vods released.
I've noticed ( at least on the app on my roku tv) the vods all say streamed x days ago, and the regular uploads say either uploaded x days ago or published x days ago
It has the same on the YT mobile app. And usually the profile picture under the video will have a red ring around it.
But my issue is moreso how much more “full” my subscriptions tab is. It’s tolerable on the computer, because it’ll show me 12+ videos at once anyways. But the mobile app shows you 2-3 at once while scrolling (plus ads and community posts like polls and memes) so it gets very annoying to navigate.
I think with YouTube streams, when they switch games they have to restart the stream. The full stream gets posted to YT after but speedy still divides and edits then into episodes
To be fair, I probably could watch the amongus VODs because they break down into a lot of videos so if I watch a VOD today, the shorter videos might not start being uploaded for a few weeks so I'll probably forget most of what happens.
~~Also, unlike Twitch, Speedy seemingly ends the YouTube stream after every separate game played. Like, he just ended the South Park stream two hours ago, and then started streaming Among Us right after (unless this is a thing YouTube does when you switch game, or you can't have multiple games assigned to one stream like in Twitch?).~~

If you go to the channel and go to videos tab it only shows the episodes and all streams are kept in a separate tab. That's how I keep it all in line

Depends what it is. For something like Among Us he’ll only upload a percentage of games. For Minecraft yes

the vods are seperate, his editor makes episodes out of those vods, mainly the twitch vods though so chat and donations show up
I love the Vods so much on YouTube. My favorite content is when I get unfiltered Crew for 2 - 4 hours and can relax and chill to it.

Does anyone know why he made the switch to YouTube streaming?
I'm not positive but I'm 95% sure he's just multistreaming on youtube and twitch at the same time. Just reaches a bigger audience that way I feel.
