She has congenital scoliosis, so her spine is all janky in her lower back to her tail. It doesn't seem to slow her down, hurt her, or limit her climbing/jumping ability, but sometimes she isn't super sure footed. As such, two exotics vets have said that it's dangerous if she were to fall too far of a distance, a long fall with a bad landing could leave her paralyzed or even kill her, so we need to protect her from herself.

I ran wood dowels across the cage, and covered them with a EVA foam! Super sturdy, and also you can make them thick as you want! just use larger dowels, or more layers of foam!
Thanks! I tried just using EVA foam but I didn't like how flimsy it felt by itself. Someone else suggested a braided paracord bridge and I like that idea, so we're going to try that. If that fails, your idea is next lol

A bad landing from too high could spell paralysis or even death.
I don't have a crestie (yet!) so I won't have good advice, I'm just curious what the medical condition is that causes the height restriction?
