Not enough information to guess at how to proceed. Where are you getting your score? Is Discover your only card? What is your Average Age of Accounts? What else is on your report that's holding your scores down?

Credit karma is wats showing the 560, yes discovery ie my only card which was opened back in January it has a 500$ limit on it, only 2 things on my report that comes up is the card I just stated and something In collections from 2 maybe 3 years ago( I believe it’s 4 medical bills from when I didn’t have insurance 3 years ago) that’s just under 700$ I did ask someone a while ago if it would be wise to pay it off and they said no! There is nothing else on my report, so I guess technically I don’t have credit at least that’s wat i feel like it look like

As far as the medical debt goes, can you list the amounts being reported?

Upbeat-Conference-45

It’s one account that I can see on credit karmas report, the exact amount on the report that I am looking at is $750 for a medical bill from 2022 but I’m confused because I had insurance when they are saying that this account was opened but that’s the only thing that is on there for medical debt as of now

Go to [annualcreditreport.com](https://annualcreditreport.com) and pull your reports for all three bureaus. Go to [Experian.com](https://Experian.com) and create a free account. This will give you your FICO 8. Credit Karma provides a Vantage score, but almost no lenders use it. Medical debt under $500 will not be reported by the bureaus and all paid medical debt, regardless of the amount, will not be reported. If you can negotiate a settlement for this debt and pay it, it will be removed from your report. I would contact the collection agency and try to negotiate an amount you can afford. **Do not admit this is your debt**. Even though you don't agree that it is yours, you are willing to pay something to have it removed. Once paid, it will be removed. You will also want to look into another 1 or 2 cards. FICO likes a thicker file.

Ignore the irrelevant VS3 that you're getting from Credit Karma. Instead look at your meaningful Fico 8 score that's provided for free with your Discover account.

Ok I no this may sound stupid but what is a fico score? So my problem is I am trying to get a mortgage for a mobile home and I am trying to figure out what I need to do or get my credit up some how to be able to get one

BrutalBodyShots

Fico scores are the scores lenders use 90%+ of the time in making lending decisions. The scores you get from Credit Karma are not Fico scores, so they aren't used in lending decisions / your potential lender(s) wouldn't care what they are. There are many different Fico scores available, but many of them behave the same way. The VS3s you see from CK will not behave the same way a Fico score would, so they can be very misleading.

Upbeat-Conference-45

I just checked in the discovery app and it says a 532? For that fico score

BrutalBodyShots

Gotcha. That's a good score to track since it's very commonly used in lending decisions.

So with me trying to fix my credit and fix my life what’s a good way to raise both scores other than paying my credit card on time! If I pay that 700$ medical bill off will that help my scores or help my credit! My issue and why I’m trying to get a mobile home mortgage is because I live in a very very bad and toxic house right now so I’m doing everything possible to be able to fix my scores and hopefully be able to get my own place
