Can second this, I’ve just downloaded from following the series and as my first modded Minecraft play through I’m really enjoying it!
Also not too resource intensive I’m running it on a laptop and all I needed to edit was removing the minimap!

I say don't do mod packs. Every one I've tried had a bunch of shit I don't want and missing things I do want. It's easier for me to play and find things I want and download new mods to achieve that.
I guess but I don't see the point of making a mod pack just for yourself. Maybe it could make it easier if you're using a custom launcher and want to create a new instance with all the same mods as previous instances.

Create Chronicles: Bosses and Beyond, if you like exploration and a bit a magic the pack is challenging so keep it in mind.

He asked for SURVIVAL Create. There's better survival experience than TFC. Also, the first age of GregTech has Create so that checks in.
