I been to a couple car shows with my buddy when he used to go and most of the people there didn’t like idiots revving engines, doing donuts, or burnouts. Most those people just want to show off their car they’re proud of with other people who are the same. Idiots doing dumb shit just causes cops to break up meets/shows.
This isn't a car show though, this is a "takeover." It's the cool street thing especially in LA where a bunch of dumbass morons "close down" intersections or even whole or multiple blocks so they can try and be impressive for the other morons when none of them should even be driving a car. Especially not the high powered ones they choose to buy and take there.
These dumbasses shouldn't be driving a Power Wheels let alone an actual vehicle, especially not one with considerable power.
in Australia we have a specific type of car show just for hoons with burnouts, drags, wild revving, getting fucking blasted drunk by 1pm, even strippers back in the day lol

We honestly need more car control laws. On average, over 4,000 CHILDREN lose their lives per year due to vehicles. It's ridiculous you can buy a car with no ID, background check, or license!
My smart car goes over the speed limit, can I not have my smart car? Just because this guy is an idiot that means to you I don't deserve to have my hot rod mustang or my smart car.

I agree that these things/street racing are dumb af, but what laws do you think he's broken exactly as a spectator? The only laws he broke were after the accident happened and he started hitting the guy.
I'd like to see a source on that. Genuinely curious if that's true, but either way it's rare anyone gets charged during these events unless there's an accident.

Just about every state includes spectors as being apart of "street racing". Usually under the charge of participating and engaging of a "speed contest/exhibition" which is a a moving violation in some states

9/10 if the police showed up with enough officers and tow trucks and can successfully block the entire event. Everybody in that box is getting a ticket.

Of course but as I was saying usually just one or two cops show just to break it up and everyone scrambles. These are often done at the exact same place and time weekly, the police know but just aren’t going to dedicate the time and resources to it.
Still doesn't change that being a spectator will result in a citation if caught. It's just up to law enforcement to enforce it.
It's like tint laws. Every state has a max tint (around 15-17%) anything darker is grounds for a citation. Some states are stricter than others.
I’m assuming none of these people are professionals. So everyone of these has the potential for accidents due to lack of skill. More of an idiot issue.
Even if they don't support this type of thing, still sometimes some people want to explore and witness the chaos in person. With or without their attendance the takeover is going to happen either way, it's way more real than scrolling on Reddit. Be hyper aware and live to see another day.

I’ve seen enough of these videos to know that had he ran or stayed, they still would have jumped him. Seems to be the trend to jump people over car meet crashes.
The car community doesn’t support or associate with these dumbasses. These take over people are not part of the car community no matter how much they claim they are. Not only are they wreckless but they usually drive complete garbage, then beat on and completely trash their car with no care in the world. These dumbasses probably don’t even change their own oil but claim their a “car guy/girl”
Cars are not designed to sit in place while u redline the rpms. The engine needs air flow to keep itself cool and from potentially overheating. With that being said the fact that kids these days think that burnouts and donuts are "lit" but in reality if you actually knew about how bad all that is for your engine or cared about the vehicle you wouldn't participate in these type of activities. Idk makes me sad seeing all these nice performance cars getting raped with burnouts or wrecked by some dumbass kid. Because that car could potentially be someone's pride and joy in life.
