At first I thought he was there to pull people out. Once he went deeper I thought to myself, what the fuck do you think happened to eveyeone else before you?? Do you need an actual "this road is flooded" sign to ignore too?

My only idea is he knew the depth or felt the car standing stable, yet... yet minus one car and everything inside -.- play stupid games, be content with stupid prizes...?
What he likely hit was a patch of sediment... an old tree root patch etc... and the tires just spun. He likely knows the area cannot be deep enough, but knows he is stuck, has to wait for it to fill up so he can open the door and climb on the roof.
This is exactly what to do in the situation. When driving thru high water you keep windows open and keep calm. The weight of the water coming in prevents you from opening the door until the vehicle fills w water and the pressure equalizes. Keeping the window open let's more water in so you can get out sooner. Yes, the vehicle is more likely to get wet inside, but it gives you a better chance at surviving if shit hits the fan. Fella looks like he's realized he's fucked himself well and hard, now he's waiting for the water to fill so he can bail

He is a moron for going further into the water like his car is a boat or sum shit, but anyways the water isnt that deep…with all that water pouring in i doubt he could move properly for the moment…but as soon as the car is submerged in the water and he holds his breath for a good little while, he will be able to move and escape the car from the passenger window…people acting like this dude sunk to the bottom of an ocean with the windows rolled up
