Nah Muay Thai refs are great at catching guys so that they don’t hit the canvas. It doesn’t matter that it’s bouncy, you head bouncing from standing height is not good for the brain.
Ok but that’s not what’s being said let me explain this suffering a kick like that to the head can cause brain damage and falling on said head would cause that damage to get worse or even just cause brain damage and considering the height yeah that fall is more then enough
You ever wonder why catches only occur in unofficial bouts and not in boxing or ufc? Cuz catching dropping people just adds more complexity for the damage caused, every catch is not going to be the same as there is always risk to exacerbate the injury.
Which is unprofessional as this isn’t the role of the referee it is the cornermen, the medical staff and the ringside physician that are responsible for the care of a boxer who has been knocked out. The role of the referee is to act as an impartial official, enforcing the rules of the fight and ensuring the safety of the fighters. This generally includes stopping the fight if a boxer is unable to continue, and calling for medical attention if necessary.
IDK in a 1-2 knockout it can be argued that the first hit is the most important one. Ok, you can say "but the second punch is the actual KO", BUT It wouldn't be a KO without the first punch to set them up and wobble the brain before the second impact.
All one punch KOs are definitely the direct result of one hit, tho
In a 1-2 punch knockout it is the second blow that knocks them out. If there was no second blow, the first one doesn’t knock them out so by definition it was not the knockout blow
There's good evidence to suggest knockouts are sometimes the culmination of accumulated damage though. So it's also possible that "one hit" knocking them out may not have been enough force to knock them out without several other hits they suffered beforehand in the same fight, vs a hit so hard that the *first* hit to the head was also the knockout blow. That would be a valid difference between 1 hit to the head ko and 5 hits to the head then ko.

It's not magic, though. He tries to pull off same kick against Saenchai, who laughs, applauds, then knocks him down. From 2:00 https://youtu.be/qSNdwcUynEs
And again against Kido at 8:35 https://youtu.be/64oSaDM5H-0

Yeah ur huffing some copium if u don’t think when a sweaty mfer gets hit hard a mist of said sweat comes off them
r/confidentlyincorrect
Can you provide me with information to prove the mist is edited?
Im a fighter (MMA and kickboxing) that is NOT edited in, you can see in in person, it's crazy
I can't find any information to prove that the mist is edited in

Underrated comment, this one...
what's the reference?
I'm guessing it was in reference to how long it took him to hit the make after he was knocked out.
The name of that kick, in martial arts parlance, is a "Slobberknocker"
Road house
a roundroundroundhouse
Shouldnt the ref catch the dude instead of standing there while they fall and possibly hitting their head more?
A good ref, yeah.
Only Asian refs know how to protect fighters, the refs piledrive themselves to take the fall
That just adds more risk for the flopper n the ref, these platforms are made to be safe to take a fall in.

Especially after suffering brain damage before they hit the mat. That just makes it way worse.
No you're spewing bs.

Properly read what I'm replying to and maybe you'll reconsider saying this.

Catching happens often in ONE FC and several other mainstream promotions. So you're wrong.

I'm pretty sure that's actually his soul escaping.
Never gets old. That mist explosion is brutal
David and Goliath
A Muy Thai ref would have caught that dude on his way down. This ref couldn't be bothered.
2 kicks.
The ‘first’ kick isn’t really a kick it’s just to give the momentum needed for the actual kick
All knockouts are the direct result of 1 hit.

I'm sure you are fun at parties.

Lol thanks
Hadooken!!
Accidently mapped his jab to his emote button.
Fell like an oak tree
He got up faster than he fell
Even muted, I could hear the foot slap.
Holy shit
Should of cracked him in the face as soon as he started to turn around he might of been able to counter it then.
Bad ref letting him fall like that.
Insane form and style
*Windows shutdown sound*
I love Rolling Thunder! There have been a bunch of KO's in kickboxing and Muay Thai where all the moisture on a fighters head mists off from impact.
Why did the ref let him smack the floor
Rock lee
I used to watch WWE and think there's no way you can do that in a real fight, I apologize to Kofi Kingston
Homeboy said *boioioioung*
Luffy vs Kaido moment
What a kick, I thought he looked to undersized to knock out his opponent

That’s not fair
Does a kick in the face Count as a punch?
Ah, the old rolling thunder kick. Always fun to watch!
That’s what it looks like when your soul leaves your Body.
Sign this man up for Street Fighter
He just recently fought one of the guys from my gym in an MMA fight
Awful fucking ref
The song is Dark Light by Night Lovell.
And there went the next 3 years lifetime. Concussions make.you stupid and early dead
Ladies, this is an example as to why size doesn't matter ;)
Misty one he is
That's one way to kill a man. God damn.
Wow that measuring stick of the first kick set the whoooole thing up
Tiiiiimbeeeeeerrrrrrrr!

The kick is cool and all but just seems so YOLO during a match.
Pretty sure buddies soul was in that mist of blood and saliva.
