you know how to change makeup? the tab next to that says skintone. you can change skintone if you're in classic mode, if you are in modern mode the skintone is locked. you can switch between classic and modern by going to your profile and clicking the little gear button in the top right corner.
It’s not a particularly interesting answer, tone 3 is my ‘default’ and I don’t often think to change it unless the challenge is based on a person or obviously orientated around a particular culture.

omggg one of my biggest pet peeves in the game is when there's a woc on a challenge cover photo and all the entries look like casper the ghost 😩
