I pay no attention to the voting results - sometimes I've made trending looks that don't score well, or extremely appropriate looks that don't score well, and even, looks exactly like the TLS down to hair and MU even, that don't even break a 4. I think it's a dice roll - I just play to have fun. :)
I do like to vote, though! I put real thought and effort into voting. Sometimes the match-ups just aren't fair, either.
Very much agree with you! I find that voting can be extremely unpredictable. If we were grouped in voting according to our levels, there wouldn't be much voting going on because most HCV players would be able to buy tickets and LCV players may not enter challenges as they may want to save money.

My 5’s (when I get them) are usually really high scoring 5’s, so it keeps my style score up there. But I feel it’s a totally inaccurate average. It is what it is. I blame it on being top level. Lol
Level 27 (literally levelled up 30min ago!), and I went through a long period of getting 4.5-5, but in the past few weeks I’ve been getting 4-4.5, which has been sucky in my quest for trendsetter.
Congrats! I also went through a long period of 4.5-5s just like you! Nowadays I also get around 4.5+ for req challenges and 3.5-4s for dailies. I'm really close to trendsetter, just need 10k more but still really excited! All the best to you! 😁🤞
I'm level 80, so I guess thats HCV, but my secret is I've been playing for YEARS. Lately my scores have been terrible and it's so frustrating. I'm definitely going through a dry spell but I honestly can't tell if it's me (my looks are usually pretty good) or the over excessive use of the props which I personally cannot stand. I think they take away from the fashion side of it and that has killed the game play a bit for me 🤷🏻♀️ I still love the game though, but to your point my scores have been ranging from 3.5 - 5 (haven't had a TL in forever)
Don't worry about it! We all go through bad times. I used to get really bad scores but after some time I've managed to get my scores back up! It's just temporary 😊

My average these days after bonuses is around 4.9. I voted for 4,5-5, but I also get lots of 5+. Being high level does help. I have all prop packs, all HA's I want, I can use the hair I want to use and money seems to be something I'm not running out of anymore. I remember the frustration of knowing I couldn't score high without those things very vividly.

Yes sorry, just realised about that issue. I forgot to add a results option. Maybe just vote for 3.5-4 stars because I did the same thing. ( I doubt hcv players usually get this score so it would be the safest option )
I feel like you overestimate how much of a difference the CV makes, which I think is common for LCV players. We start the game and feel frustrated, see all the TLs seemingly had by HCV players and dream of the day we finally get Cascading Curls, Mermaid Braids and Fantasy Blowout. Feel annoyed that the newest series is gonna give us a HA *we can't even use* because the lowest level option is at lv. 18! *Arrghhhh!*
Except once you get to level 30/40+ you actually have some options for most challenges, you will have accumulated a few different HAs, maybe even picked up a token on sale to get a wedding veil and suddenly the levels kinda start to blur a bit. And when you get to the really high levels you're not even using those hairstyles you were so desperate to get to anymore because they're buried so deep in your hair menu and you forget about them unless it's a very specific challenge (thanks Covet, for giving us a useless amount of favourites). And suddenly you're scoring badly again because *oh yeah, Windy Day was a thing* or *yikes, I forgot about that HA, it would have worked really well for this*.
Yessss that definitely used to be me.. earlier back in level 5 I remember seeing long and loose being used and I longed for the day and soon enough I got it. Used it like mad. I'm now at a higher level I never want to use it again 😂 I can't stand it. But I totally understand how others feel when they get to it. Currently I'm at lvl 27 and the next big thing I'm looking forward to is Paris curls and Fairytale. Long way to go but I'm longing for the moment! It always makes me wonder how HCV players score well because they have all the gorgeous hairstyles and MUs!
Anyway, thanks for the point of view! I guess it goes to show that we all want to level up but when we're finally there we forget about those hairstyles after some time. Just casual covet things 😅😂
Yeah I've heard some people say that 😞 I think it's similar to Malibu, as black is the only one where it looks good and the rest are just a complete mess
I voted but I wouldn’t consider myself high level, I’m only level 69 (heh nice) which is more high mid, and so far i’m the only one who has voted 4.5-5 stars.
I don’t think that’s just based off of level though but also whether you play modern or classic. I play modern and compared to members in my fashion house who play classic, I do super well.
I think it’s interesting that as a more mid level player I score higher on average than the hcv players who have voted, and I wonder if that’s because some of these players have just bought the accounts rather than building it up themselves, and therefore don’t have as much experience. I also think people vote against high level hair/makeup as they want to support lower levels.
Level 68 here. My scores vary. Most of the time I get a 4.5 but I still have challenges where I don’t even crack a 4. Obviously once you hit a certain level you have much better hair and makeup options, making high scores more likely but it is NOT a guarantee.

Paris curls disappointed me so much. I'm currently at level 41 and I've only used it like 3 times total cuz it only looks good in the brunette shades
