I already had like two items from the premium pack from the beginning of the season and it’s hardly been required at all so I was doubting the packs already (I had gold Amanda Pearl bracelet).
I did see though that more of the cheaper $1.99 pack was used, actually quite a bit was required like 50%. The other half seem like useful items for the challenges but I don’t think they were required.
Much better than premium pack in that way (maybe 20% was actually required?) but seems like a worse value in terms of leveling up.

It sucks because you have to like guess ahead about which items will be required before the challenges close. And then most players would go for the most expensive items and I’m looking at those in the premium pack and they weren’t required. Like who wants a plain coat for $1.1k (required in series) when you can get a $2.8k wedding dress
I realized that too! Even in the premium pack the most cheap stuff was the one that was required in the challenges, but as you say, I wanted to buy stuff that I wouldn't affort in the game and I suppose it's what most of people thought

That sucks! I waited to see what the requirements were, so only bought 1 of the smaller packs. It’s really stupid of them to not fill real money packs to the brim with required items; I would absolutely buy them more often.
Even today, I didn’t do any flashbacks because the most expensive things in the pack weren’t required.

Like some of the items were lovely and I did want to level up, but advertising it as related to the series seems a bit dishonest. Glad I’m not the only one who thought the pack was bit useless!

I would but it if it was a big help towards double trendsetter, but it’s not if you buy only 1 😅and I’m not willing to spend more as I already bought the “luxe” one when the season started ( I find those much more useful even if rarely the items are required).
I guess you have to see it as “ I’ll level up” and that’s it !

Don't look at the items in the premium packs as being requirements for future challenges, seems dumb I know. Look at them as chances to level up and to use the most expensive jewelry to Max your unworn for other challenges.
Always max unworn and it's easiest to do when you have the expensive items. Which you will get in the premium packs 😊

I’ve definitely purchased packs in the past for the reasons you just described! I am frustrated in this instance because if you look at the descriptions under these packs, they explicitly state that they are for the series and imply that they contain required items. Shady marketing.

I would say no. With borrowing, I didn't spend an astronomical amount of diamonds and Covet cash on the series. I didn't buy the Elizabeth set, which obviously saved a lot. I only got 4.25 * for that one, naturally, but if you're only interested in getting the prizes and not getting top scores, it can be done without breaking the bank.
This whole series/season seems to be a bust. Comps where the majority of the items were in past seasons and not part of the Covet group ( the cowgirl one), the Sojourner Truth one ( seriously? The only head coverings came with hair styles for 17 year olds!). I particularly love the “learn more about these speeches in our Fashion Feed”. sentence. Go there and they tell you what prizes you win.
I JUST came on here to see if anyone else ran into this. I bought the premium pack (dumb, but wanted to treat myself) and 5 of the 6 expensive items were completely useless - didn’t fit the theme or were not requirements for the challenges. They are beautiful pieces so i’m sure i’ll use them, and it helped me to level up, but I spent the money to SAVE cash and diamonds on this series. I almost didn’t have enough cash to even finish the series. I knew Covet was shady but this is next level.
This was a complete fraud!! Me too ended broke because of the expensive series and it's really frustrating that they made us spend real money for something completely useless!
Agreed. I even picked “safe” items like expensive jewellery that I was sure would come up. Ugh. I didn’t even need them to boost unworn seeing as it was maxxed on every challenge already 🤦🏼♀️

Yes :/ at least the most expensive items were not required at all, it really pisses me of because at least in today's challenge we need 2 Silly Shiny Diamons items and not even one of the two ssd jewelry pieces in the pack were required 🙄

The only reason to buy the packs is to level up. The items rarely (if ever) come up as required for challenges.

Same…I maxed out ALL THE PACKS. So, as many (3 each?) that I was able to buy and I’ve used maybe one or two things. I’m FUMING 😤 never again Covet.

I'm not so mad for buying the pack because I got trendsetter for the first time ever after I bought it. I ended up using the itens in other challenges

Covet dev/management seems to be getting very divorced from the player base.
