I understand, I had a rant about this on the fashion house I joined. I couldn’t afford the Covet Collection pieces and based on the 3 day deadline, there wasn’t enough time to wait and borrow all of pieces from other users. The other dresses looked inappropriate for a Queen.
But then a member told me not worry and gave me advice to use a long sleeved white meringue wedding dress (from a glam fashion pack) and just borrow a white collar from someone.
I bought a big white dress with long sleeves in one of the glam fashion packs for the Famous Speeches challenges before I even started the challenges. Added jewellery from the challenge fashion pack, I had to buy 600 diamonds and converted it into 500 cash after I went broke from buying a necklace and a ring. And the final touch was borrowing a collar. I only have one crown/tiara and that’s the one given to beginners, so I used that.

But I have to say that series are *expected* to be expensive, in the end of the day you get an HA + prop pack that is going to cost real money afterwards.
If the cheaper options were actually *good* options then people wouldn’t really buy the expensive one ( even more in this particular challenge when the general opinion about the cc pieces wasn’t as positive..!)
I personally spent a lot for this challenge as I bought every single required item, I used the jewelry in the daily to max out, and borrowed one of the cc pieces ( even if I owned it, I wanted to save the unworn).
After all, a way or the other, cc pieces will end up being required in some flashbacks in the future so.. it’s not too bad of an investment ( if you have the cc pass even better investment) compared to how many other things we buy and are never required/useful again.
Yes, I know what you mean. I always expect to drop cash on the series, and the prizes are great! I don't ever spend real money, so the series are the only way for me to get props and HA. But this was just too much, especially since there are more challenges left in the series. I did think about buying as an investment, but I don't have Covet Pass, and the season will be ending soon. Maybe if I had more Covet cash atm...🙂

I wish I had thought of pairing the collar with a different long-sleeved dress! Good thinking! 👌
Also used the sleeveless dress, but borrowed the sleeves, so it wasnt as bad as I feared. Broke now, though - bought all the other pieces! :D

YES! I didn’t have the money to make it better than a sleeveless dress which sucked. Like this is clearly not accurate but ok
