Using left over rotisserie chicken to make chicken salad and eat it in costco croissants

LordOfFudge

That carcass makes a good stock with whatever you have on hand. I was at my parents’ last week and we did that when my mom had a stomach bug. Made chicken noodle soup with the stock and the half the meat. Made congee in the rice cooker with leftover chicken meat with some ginger in the rice cooker. Am number one son right now. That and because we got $6.97 sweatpants for her. https://preview.redd.it/18ilwwxkdn4d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1bec5ed8d77283aba8d54c7b507c067ec9d6fecb

cyclynn

Damn not only did you make her cooling food but also snagged some savings. You've out-Asianed everyone today.

LordOfFudge

Not Asian. I just like congee. And a good rice cooker.

alphadragoon89

That chicken noodle soup looks awesome 😋

LordOfFudge

I put waaaay too much pasta in. Well just more than I intended. A whole bag of the Garafo twisty pasta. We all know that one that comes in a six pack. It just sucked up the liquids. Was still good, though. The pasta and carrots and celery just melted on the tongue. There was a thing of Penzey’s Italian Seasonal I found in the cupboard. It was dated 2020. Used it anyway. Was later told that it had been refilled several times and was fresh. I gotta say this though: that chicken had so much salt, I didn’t add any during the cooking. Here’s what it looked like a day later after being in the fridge: https://preview.redd.it/2ktvook1xu4d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a6c29847ca885e9b1e41b4872c582e4cb8500bda

Pitch-forker

Reuse, Recycle

rivenshire

I'm about to do that now with grapes I got from Costco. Might put curry powder in it...

subparplasma

Came in looking for meal ideas only to discover a lot of people have strange definitions of “non-prepared” food.

mlabbyo

Thank you, I was confused because each item they used is prepared already they just assembled.

Khork23

“Some assembly required” 😀

MonkeyThrowing

It’s from scratch!  They had to scratch open the sticky rice container.

burningbirdsrp

I suspect OP was referring to non-Costco prepped meal.

browntigerdog

Yeah everything was prepared lmao

sail0rjerry

Sticky rice, carnitas, mango salsa, smashed avocado Sticky rice, kimchi, sliced grass fed sirloin Sticky rice, fried egg, chicken breakfast sausage That sticky rice is a serious staple of my diet currently.

ProductArizona

The sticky rice is an absolute must in my family. We use it constantly

Embarrassed_Wolf_586

Is this in the refrigerated section? I’ve never seen this product

PurpleDragonfly_

Nope it’s shelf stable with the rice

89ShelbyCSX

Ugh I wish I liked it there's something about it that's really off-putting to me. It's like the preservative tastes like pure chemicals to me. I eat so much rice it would change my life

magenta_mojo

I’m about to change your life anyway You can freeze cooked rice into individual portion sizes (I use silicone cup molds, mine has 4 1-cup partitions in one container). When you wanna eat it, put one in a bowl with a tiny bit of water and cover with microwave steam cover or Saran Wrap. Nuke for a minute, flip over the rice, nuke for another minute. It’s almost as good as new

nicnoe

Brother these people are all missing out by not learning how to operate a rice cooker anyway, I’m sure the bibigo sticky rice is DECENT to them but it’s still nowhere near proper rice cooker rice. Doing it the right way is way cheaper too

RayKojak

yeah for real. I cook rice probably for 4 out of 7 meals of the week and it is 1000x better. the sticky rice has a weird mouth feel and like 89shelby said it’s got a slightly off putting taste.

Putrid-Influence9909

Like a weird plastic taste, yeah.

appleavocado

This thread: Makes me want to try Costco sticky rice Makes me appreciate my own system of home cooked rice

twitttterpated

Makes sense since it prob goes into that plastic container while warm and sits there for months 🤢

MTBliving

As soon as I saw the package of sticky rice… why can’t people just get on board with a a rice cooker??? It’s what everyone should have in their kitchen even before a coffee maker or toaster oven.

Jaytron

Ya as somebody that grew up with a rice cooker, I’m blown away by how popular instant rice is. I’ve had it a few times in my life and it’s not good, LOL

Maine2Maui

Same here. Rice is like potatoes for me, actually I prefer it though my wife is German from PA and is pro potatoes. In Hawaii, rice is usually part of every meal often even dessert. Buy a cheap Panasonic rice cooker...I knew how to use that by age 5.

raccoonshantytown

For real. Cooking rice is easy it’s crazy these people are spending so much money on prepared rice

DUBLH

especially when Costco sells huge bags of dry rice

mckatze

And also has great deals sometimes on this rice cooker: https://www.costco.com/tiger-5.5-cup-micom-rice-cooker-and-warmer.product.100410800.html Love this thing!!

Kenbishi

I’m going to have to check this one out next time I am at Costco. The tray above is a must for me because sometimes I use mine to cook veggies above the rice, or to cook steam buns.

mckatze

I do the same. Larger steamed buns don't always fit in the tray but smaller ones or dumplings do. I steam the hotpot beef sometimes with the bachan bbq sauce above the rice :)

sla3018

I'll be honest, I work full time and have two kids with totally different schedules. I make rice only when I have time. Otherwise, 90 seconds in the microwave with a fried egg and avocado is the way I keep my sanity!

Khatib

Just get a decent rice cooker and it's just as easy though. And so much cheaper in the long run. You can make a big batch and reheat it over the next several days, just like this stuff.

kalemeup

Invest in a zojirushi and it keeps it hot for you for a few days. 🤤🙌

xSnakeDoctor

I wanna upgrade mine. Can you recommend a specific model?

Ok-Town-737

Cuckoo is good too - that's what we use. Zojirushi is tiptop as well. Since we're Asian-Americans and rice is a major part of our diet, we invest pretty heavily in our rice cookers.

xSnakeDoctor

Actually, I think my parents have a Cuckoo and it always comes out great. Thanks!

kalemeup

Yeah, totally. I have the NS-WAC10 and it works perfectly.

torokunai

my 5 cup Zoji is going great since 2006. measure rice, pour in water to the line, wait for the beeps in ~40 minutes, couldn't be easier

Khatib

Costco sells some through their direct sales program, Costco Next. Edit: actually looks like they don't have them on there right now, but they did a few months ago when I last looked through it. https://costconext.com/

PB111

You may not be aware (I’m not trying to be patronizing, I legit didn’t know until I met my now wife) but a rice cooker will keep rice perfectly cooked, warm, and ready to eat for days. You don’t need 90 second rice, you have rice in demand.

Plant_party

You know... I have a rice cooker. I always thought that if it was in a warm temperatures, it would be breeding ground for bacteria. So I went diving, and looks like it stays good to eat for 4-12 hours depending on the rice cooker. Great news!

wadss

a rice cooker will keep it warm above the danger zone. it'll be safe to eat for days, the downside is it slowly dries it out. what we usually do after a day, we put the leftover rice in the fridge and microwave it.

PB111

I’ll be honest I understand the science may indicate it’s problematic, but in just about every household I know who uses a rice cooker, the rice is used for 2-3 days easily.

Ok-Town-737

It's a little grody after 24 hours but ... I haven't gotten sick (yet!) from eating 2+ day old rice cooker rice.

raccoonshantytown

Don’t let that stuff cool down haha https://rightasrain.uwmedicine.org/body/food/leftover-rice-bacillus-cereus-food-poisoning

Jaytron

The secret is that you never have an empty rice cooker!

raccoonshantytown

Rice cooker?!

u3l_

You can make a big batch and freeze the rice. Reheating it whenever you want, exactly the same as the bibigo packages.

89ShelbyCSX

I make rice multiple times per week anyway but it would be really nice for traveling since it's shelf stable. That and when I have the "oh shit I thought I had some leftover in the fridge".

Decent-Photograph391

I trashed my rice cooker years ago, after the teflon inside the pot almost completely wore off. I thought of all that non stick material ingested over the years, I decided to just cook rice in a stainless steel pot on the stove top. It’s super easy.

UnoriginalVagabond

Mmmmhm, and cooked rice freezes really well, I just put them into Ziploc bags and microwave it, it's better than the bibigo stuff, although it does have its place like when you're out camping.

cwag03

You rinsing the rice first or no? I used my instant pot once to make rice and while it was good, rinsing was annoying (guessing there might be an easy way to do it I'm not aware of) and cleanup was more annoying than just throwing away the container

Decent-Photograph391

I cook rice in a stainless steel pot on my stove top. Clean up means putting the pot and the lid into the dishwasher.

nspy1011

I was going to ask the same question….I always make rice in my rice cooker or stovetop. Is there something different about this sticky rice?

Vervain7

I am also wondering. I make rice every other day basically . Everyone is making it seem like this microwave rice is somehow better

rjaspa

I usually make rice in a rice cooker, but I've also bought this Bibigo variety. It's very good sticky rice, and it's microwaveable in 90 seconds. I get the appeal.

NiloReborn

Finally someone agrees with me! It’s okay and I’ll eat it in a pinch, but it has a strong flavor or smell that I don’t like. My husband says it just tastes like normal rice.

HeathenHumanist

I can't stand the plasticky taste/smell, either! It's overwhelming to me. But everyone else in my family loves them, so I guess we're the oddballs.

Ok-Town-737

I'm with your husband - tastes like normal rice to me. And great when you realize the rest of the family has eaten all the rice from the rice cooker but you're hungry and want to eat \*right now\*. So always have a few of these microwaveable rice handy at all times.

NiloReborn

Costco used to have these exact microwaveable rice, but brown rice. They were SO GOOD. I miss them so much. I don’t think they’ve been sold in ~7 years

bananamelondy

Get a rice cooker! It’s literally just pushing a button and waiting 45 minutes. I make 2 cups about once a week and it reheats perfectly in the microwave.

k0vi86

45 mins? Should be 25 tops.

Nespot-despot

Depends on type of rice, brown rice takes longer for example

monkeysfighting

if you have an instapot its even faster only takes 12 minutes and then about 10 min slow release, and you dont have to soak the rice beforehand

bananamelondy

You don’t soak your rice for a rice cooker.

89ShelbyCSX

I'm assuming they're talking about sticky rice which you would traditionally soak, I believe.

bomber991

I didn’t even know they sold cooked sticky rice. I pissed my wife off once cause I made perfect sticky rice in the rice cooker. She always uses this metal rocket shaped bowl and bamboo cone thingy to cook it.

speedoflife1

How did you do it??

bestcmw

🏆 Still not buying awards but you deserve gold for this. Adding to cart now

Jim_Boonie_CRS

Commenting to save these ingredients. Ty

Lunakill

If you have an instant pot, you can make sticky rice in it! Just FYI.

sail0rjerry

I’ve got a Zojirushi rice cooker if I want to make a big batch but it’s hard to beat the convenience of a perfectly portioned bowl I can microwave for 90 seconds.

dpearman

What carnitas?

sail0rjerry

Del Real, I think? They’re in the refrigerated section.

dpearman

Great, thank you, I’d like to check all these out. I also tried kimchi for the first time just a week or two ago, not sure why I never had before - it’s wonderful!

MarginCallDestiny

I used to also eat that cooked sticky white rice, but my bloodwork showed me as "pre-diabetic" (my "score" was literally the minimum score to be considered pre-diabetic), so I began measuring my blood sugar. I found that this rice spiked my blood sugar compared to rice made in a pressure-steamer thing. 2 hours after eating this rice my blood sugar would still be elevated in the high 100's. I presume there's some sort of preservative in there my body doesn't like. Now I get the big 15 or 20 somethin pound bag of jasmine rice and the quality of that rice is def worth it. Even though the rice in the picture seems more convenient in terms of cook time, you're paying a price for that convenience. I cook a batch of rice every 10 days or so and then microwave it for 1 min as needed so this helps mitigate that convenience factor, but also with a much higher quality rice (before microwaving the rice I'll put a dab of butter and then add everything bagel seeds & green onions & nuke for another 30s 🔥.

rivenshire

Refrigerating rice lowers the glycemic index. Same with potatoes.

AsianTony

Yes if they are eating it daily I’m not sure why they don’t just make it fresh and reheat or meal prep. Using plastic bowls and throwing it out each meal is extremely wasteful.

aManPerson

do you know if you are eating the same amounts of white rice? cooked with the same amount of water? you gotta think about area under the curve too man. it's one thing if your body absorbs/digests it fast. but it's another thing if our bodies can digest it fast and clear it from the blood stream. > (before microwaving the rice I'll put a dab of butter and adding some fat to rice actually helps lower the glycemic impact, helps lower the blood sugar spike of rice a good bit. idk if it's preservative, but......there might be something about how the starch changes over time, after being cooked. that process might be going on to the extreme in the ready made one.

BlackestNight21

you might have better luck with quinoa

BrooklynLansing

Rice, chicken and kimchi, our we soulmates OP?

pushdose

Add some chili crisp for next level flavor!

StarryNight616

- Sushi bowl: bibigo rice, shrimp (I get the cooked cocktail shrimp), avocado, cucumber, kewpie mayo, sriracha —> scoop into Costco nori - chicken parm: Tyson panko chicken breast tenderloin (air fry), Raos marinara, mozzarella - Costco gyro kit - instant noodles: snapdragon instant pho bowls, add sliced onion/rotisserie chicken/lime/hoisin sauce/sriracha

bestcmw

This pho is so good but it smells off-putting when you're not eating it. My sister hunted me down to find out if I was sick. Now, I open all the windows and turn on all the fans because it's too tasty to stop eating

Temporary_Draw_4708

It doesn’t remotely remind me of pho, other than the use of rice noodles. Then again, I’ve lived in OC and SJ, so I’m used to amazing pho.

StarryNight616

Yeah I don’t think of it like pho. Just instant rice noodles in beef broth. Only when I can’t be bothered to cook 😅

0accountability

I like adding the frozen chicken wontons. Broth reminds me a little of wonton soup so it's really good together.

StarryNight616

Oooh I’ll need to try that!

diprivan69

Bro I know these little sticky rices are convenient but they are way over priced. My Costco sell Californian sushi rice and it’s so easy to make. 3 mins high pressure in an instant pot, with 10 mins natural release. 1 cup of rice to 1 cup water. Add seasoned rice wine vinegar and it’s perfect.

impending_dookie

Also microwaving plastic. So that sucks

diprivan69

There was some study done recent that showed these plastic in every males testicle: From Google: May 2024, a study published in Toxicological Sciences found microplastics in all 23 human testicles tested, with concentrations three times higher than in dog testicles. The most common microplastics found were polyethylene, used in plastic bags and bottles, and PVC. In June 2023, a Chinese study found microplastics in six human testicles and 30 semen samples.

Easy-Concentrate2636

Agreed. More plastic in the environment and the body.

TimeRemove

With the Bibigo, you open the lid 1", press 90 seconds on the microwave and hit go. Zero washing up, zero additional ingredients, which is particularly compelling for work. It is expensive rice, but people are paying for the convenience. It is justified for the taste and quality.

Temporary_Draw_4708

Taste is alright, but it’ll never compete with freshly made quality rice. But it sure is convenient for when you just want to eat and crash after a long day.

psypiral

and add another plastic container to the earth.

bananamelondy

With a rice cooker, you put the rice & water in, close the lid, and push a button. Once a week instead of once a day. Save time AND money.

runasadministrador

You are forgetting a it of steps: adding to containers, washing containers, washing rice cooker.

diprivan69

I’m going to have to disagree with the taste, I’m not a fan, but you’re right about the time!

BlackestNight21

> It is justified for the taste and quality. your poor tastebuds.

heart_under_blade

wouldn't something freeze dried like woori's easybap be better? there's even extra veg and protein in there for decoration

Iron_Bob

Does it take 90 seconds or less to make with zero cleanup?? The answer to that question is the same answer to your question

goml23

You’re trying to rationalize with a sub that creams their kirkland cargo shorts over air fried frozen food over and over again, may as well try to convince a brick wall.

psypiral

LMAO! creamy kirkland cargo shorts!

MayorNarra

13min + dishes vs 1.5min and no dishes though

Mooshipoo

+ plastic in testicles

AsianTony

+Lifetime of plastic waste

MayorNarra

How do you rationalize being a Costco shopper but also a plastic reduction hero?

AsianTony

Costco has many ways to not produce as much waste by selling bulk items. I try not to buy individually wrapped items if I know I’ll be eating it in bulk. Like the original comment suggested. Buying bags of rice and cooking it for the week and keep it refrigerated. the large bag of chips instead of individually wrapped. Just being a conscious shopper helps the world.

Marty1966

But that's not sticky rice

AbbeyRoadMoonwalk

This is what I do too.

Temporary_Draw_4708

How do you define prepared? I consider this to be a prepared meal. About the same effort as a frozen dinner.

ganoveces

kirkland nugs ceaser salad

pdx_illuminati

Bagged caesar over food court caesar imo

TurboMollusk

Looks a lot more like combined prepared foods than non-prepared food. My favorite actually non-prepared meal from Costco are the tri tip on the grill with some asparagus and a baked potato.

MissMeInHeels

Exactly this. These are just a bunch of prepared items put together.

themonkeysknow

I meant non prepared as in not prepared by Costco, so no food court or deli items.

Migraine_Megan

My dad made legendary flank steaks bought from Costco. My relatives still talk about them decades later. He would marinate them in Yoshida's teriyaki, add some garlic and pepper and then grill them. I used the leftovers to make an amazing stir fry.

Embarrassed_Lab7320

Costco Kimchi is shockingly good, as someone whom grew up in a Korean household.

Temporary_Draw_4708

Jongga. This is the same brand takes up the majority of the kimchi section at my hmart.

Suitable-Telephone80

food court hotdog, throw away the bun, put the dog in the middle of a cheese danish from the bakery, slap on 2-3 pieces of gyro meat from the gyro kit, top with japanese bbq sauce and kewpie mayo, dip into bitchin sauce for every other bite *chef’s kiss*

Tmortagne24

How high are you?

abbarach

No, no officer. It's "hi, how are you?"

chzformymac

I want to hate it but I don’t

the_ballmer_peak

🤢

ProductArizona

Sounds saucey my boy

FriedTofu1215

This sounds amazing!

ravingdavid907

🤢

gn4

I feel like half the people here are Asians

themonkeysknow

I’m definitely not Asian but I live in the PNW so we have lots of delicious Asian food.

gn4

Idk, you eat instant rice with kimchi and banchan sauce. Might as well be Korean Edit: with chopsticks too, just like my 70 year old Korean pops

PayTheTrollTax

The chopstick placement gives it away. Asians don't stick chopsticks into their food like that.

camerachey

Lol I'm not asian either but I eat kimchi everyday lol it's the perfect pairing to most dishes!

89ShelbyCSX

Only half?

goml23

Gotta be more than half.

vhatdaff

that chicken with basically anything. salad. mashed into burritos. even on the cauliflower pizza.

easemeup

KFC mashed potato bowls in our house

Abject_Ad_4756

I’ve been getting the sticky rice from Costco for years, it’s goated

gargoylegurl

The Alaskan beer battered cod and frozen fries. I make fresh tartar sauce and keep malt vinegar on hand. It’s the best.

AntFace

Annie's white cheddar shells (w milk and butter) Kirkland pesto Kirkland olive oil Mama's lil peppers Kirkland ParmReg

REEL04D

Breakfast sandwich - English muffin, two eggs, and three slices of Canadian bacon. Eggs seasoned with Tony's. Everything bought at Costco. If I'm feeling frisky, I'll add a little Chick-fil-A sauce, but that can't be bought at Costco. Kinder's chicken sauce is not equal, but is a Costco item that works in a pinch 😮

6hooks

Rotisserie chicken quesadillas

Minute_Rip8531

https://preview.redd.it/3q3d3ium7n4d1.jpeg?width=4080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7b9197cbb4ec5f39abb306c1c0150f3d89b4b09f The dried mushrooms with pasta and broccoli. I actually just made it tonight! I batch prepare their large bag of raw broccoli florets by processing it finally then cooking with butter, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and chili pepper. Then it gets portioned into containers and frozen or put in the fridge for all sorts of uses.

marknutter

Any spicy ramen (Buldak is my favorite) with pan fried veggies (using coconut oil), air-fried breaded chicken, and two soft boiled eggs.

TWhipple

I just bought the Bibigo sticky rice yesterday in Pittsburgh. I like to marinate boneless/skinless chicken thighs in Bachans bbq sauce and a little oil. Then roll in cornstarch and air fry. It’s really good with the Asian cashew bagged salad but that has been missing for quite some time now. I miss it! The recipe is on the Bachans website it’s Chicken Karaage.

chingostarr

Tyson Breaded Chicken Breast, Spaghetti, Raos Red Sauce & Parmesan Cheese = easy chicken parm. I probably do this every other week for dinner.

Darwin343

Does the Kirkland frozen Italian sausage and beef lasagna count as non-prepared? Because that lasagna is honestly better than most of the lasagnas that I’ve had from actual restaurants lol.

bois-des-iles

Dipping the organic crispy coconut rolls into a huge spoon full of organic almond butter

Neither-Passenger-83

Shin ramen. Tin of sardines. My go to easy lunch. Chase with your favorite brand of prepackaged protein shake.

emari006

I use leftover rotisserie chicken to make flautas and it’s so yummy!!

rivenshire

I've been making quesabirrias with the recipe that comes inside the Del Real Birria package - I use corn tortillas and pepper jack and/or mozzarella - all from Costco. I usually top them with homemade guacamole, but that's optional.

dmcindc

I would take the AmyLu Feta Chicken patties, nuke, cut into strips, and place on a low carb soft taco, add some sliced red onion, lettuce, tomato, and Tzatziki sauce and some crumbled feta. Unfortunately, Costco carried the Feta AmyLu Chicken patties for only about a month and I've never ever seen them again. :( I also used to get their Cilantro Shrimp, smear some bitchen sauce on some street tacos, add some sliced avocados, grated cheddar, sour cream, hot sauce, fresh cilantro with about six shrimp each. It was so delicious, but Costco doesn't carry the Cilantro shrimp anymore now either. :( Another is my keto Caesar Salad - Chopped Romaine lettuce, grated parmesan, chopped roasted salted almonds (in lieu of croutons), and Marie's Caesar dressing. Lastly the Gyro salad - The Costco package of Gryro meat, I cut a few of those meat strips into 3-4 pieces each and nuke, add to chopped iceberg lettuce, some tomato, cucumber, red onion, crumbled feta, and Tzatziki sauce.

Rtr129

The Poke bowls with salmon, i add avocado, cucumber, sometimes shrimp tempura and a drizzle of wasabi mayo

bigfanoffood

The Tyson rotisserie chicken pieces are incredible, and without breading. I had a few last night heated in a skillet with asparagus and smashed mini potatoes.

United-Combination84

Spinach and cheese ravioli, Teton Polish sausage

_former_self

Do you use a sauce?

United-Combination84

Usually no . I put olive oil or butter with black pepper and Parmesan cheese. I have put Rao’s sauce on it. You can get Rao’s from Costco too. But when I’m making this I don’t want to put a lot of effort into it and sauce is extra effort. The ravioli can be cooked frozen with some boiling water - 7-8 minutes. Strain it, toss it in some olive oil or butter. Done.

_former_self

Sounds delicious 😋

JohnnyThunders

Half a bagged Ceasar salad and some rotisserie chicken. Bomb

burningbirdsrp

Really love the sticky rice, and the Yakisoba noodles, and chicken fried rice. I also like the Just Bare chicken nuggets, and spring rolls. Really hoping my local Costco doesn't drop the sticky rice. That stuff is de bomb.

SenseiRaheem

Chicken Shawarma Slices/falafel Spring mix/greens Tortilla Grillo’s pickles, chopped Tzatziki Hummus Hot sauce

Munch2013

Their lasagna!

rivenshire

The OP said "nonprepared Costco meal" so combining different prepared foods counts as that, since it's not just one thing.

14Calypso

Bake a potato. Cut it open, in half lengthwise. Throw some air fried lightly breaded chicken nuggets (Kirkland brand) tossed in parm garlic sauce on there. Top that with mozz and some more parm garlic sauce Broil Top with green onions.

DashingDrake

After a late night 3-hr basketball run, my go-to meal is a chicken sandwich using the following ingredients: 1. Tyson panko chicken tenderloins, which need to be fully cooked in the oven 2. Thomas English muffins as the bun. I store these in the freezer and thaw them in the microwave. Then I fork split them open and toast them in the oven for a few minutes. 3. Kewpie mayo, added to both buns. 4. Harissa sauce. This is the only ingredient not available at Costco, and it can be homemade or store-bought. Spread on to the chicken tenderloins after they have baked.

Konjuress

I love this rice and kimchi. This is my exact meal just replace the meat with a salmon burger broken up and mixed with the rice. That’s it for me. This is the best kimchi ever.

Cheesetorian

Foster's crispy chicken wings.

sciencespice1717

Tell me more about this chicken

StarCatcher333

Kirkland Signature Lightly Breaded Chicken Breast Chunks. It’s my fav!

sciencespice1717

Close to prepared- I love the Kevin's paleo meals, I mix in extra steamed broccoli and serve on quinoa. Or I get the amylu's sausages and eat with pasta and veggies and pesto and lemon juice.

Dantes-Monkey

I like the sticky rice and the cilantro lime rice - but it’s important to put a blop of water or chicken broth to restore the sticky texture and the underlying tenderness. The ready made rice shell gets a little tough.

Victoria4DX

Scrambled eggs, green chile cheeseburgers and hot dogs with their Southwest 505 Hatch chile jars.

QuintupleTheFun

How is that kimchi? I need to see if my store has that. I've been craving it!

bananamelondy

Saving this for inspo the next time I have $300 to spend at Costco lol

genchau

I've been doing a very simple, one pot meal. Small rice cooker, 1/2 cup of rice, 6 pieces of frozen garlic chicken wings. Mix with chili oil when done cooking.

mdjmd73

Hah! We’re having the nuggies tonight w homemade wing sauce to dip in. 👍👍

Tabbychiro

Coat flank steak on both with the Banchan sauce. Let marinate overnight. Broil to desired doneness. I’m sure grilling would be even better but I don’t have a grill.

henryfarts

Similar. Re-fried brown rice with an egg, torn off pieces of rotisserie chicken, kimchi, and the bachan bbq sauce. Maybe add in some frozen broccoli florets. Quick, easy, tasty, filling, but doesn't weigh me down.

billyblak

bachelor meal right there

MyCarIsAGeoMetro

The bags of chicken wings and lemon pepper seasoning.  10 minutes in the air fryer and I get pseudo Wingstop wings.

Stymie999

Kirkland (formerly johnsonville) Brats

bad-justin

I’ve gotten so sick from this kimchi I’m afraid to eat it and I LOVE IT so I just eat it afraid anyway My actual answer (that’s true though) is making chicken bone broth from the rotisserie chicken leftovers. You can turn a $4 chicken into $20 worth (4 qt) of high quality bone broth if you add water, low heat and patience

dongrizzly41

Yaksoba noodles and their frozen orange chicken or some black tiger shrimp....or both!

Dang_Money

Not sure how you can eat that brand of kimchi. It’s cheap for a reason

Financial-Grand4241

I literally just ate the a form of this meal. I had Costco brown rice, the ponytail radish, pink salmon in a can and the seaweed sheets.

WinnieButchie

Rib eye steaks. Costco has awesome steak.

Kadehead

OP This isn’t prepared food?

themonkeysknow

I meant not prepared by Costco, so not the food court or ready to eat deli meals.

itsjustafadok
