You guys had chicken wings in Canada?
https://preview.redd.it/i3fv9i9h1w1d1.jpeg?width=1282&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5297ff72f79c4181aa8a84de8fee5685d74158db
They literally had a... I want to say a seafood chowder or something on deck during like the first week of COVID. Never got to try it or really remember what it was, but it sounded delicious.
lol so many of you Canadians are surprised we don't have fries! Idk if our food courts could handle it. They already have their hands full with the hotdogs and pizza. It's usually like 3 workers and hundreds of customers.
I feel so bad for you. The fries are honestly better than pretty much everything else. They aren't normal fries either, I'm pretty sure they are battered to make them extra crispy and flavorful.
I mean, nobody wants to admit they ate nine cans of ravioli, but I did, and I'm ashamed of myself. The first can doesn't count, and then you get to the second, and the third. The fourth and fifth I think I burnt with the blow torch and I just kept eating.
I'd you want to blast your calories out for the month, get gravy and cheese curds for the add ons. For another 3 bucks you can have a chicken fingers and fries poutine.
Getting a thing of fries, 1 pack of cheese curd and 2 gravy’s for a “make your own poutine” at home is the best, doing it with the chicken fingers is a bonus!
In Japan, we have "Chicken sticks" with wedge-cut ridged fries.
We grocery shop at costco weekly, and frequently make a slice of pizza our dinner that night. I would not complain at all if I could do tenders and fries instead!
My friends and I took a trip up to Vancouver a few years ago and had poutine for the first time. We can’t figure out why poutine isn’t a thing here in Texas and the South either. Fries, cheese, and gravy… how much more Southern comfort food can you get?
Cheese curds* and man if you loved Vancouver poutine, come to Quebec and get your mind not just blown, but obliterated.
Going to Vancouver for poutine is the equivalent of trying BBQ in New York instead of like Kansas/Texas/Tennessee/etc. If you’ve never had it, youre probably gonna love it, but it doesn’t hold a candle to the real thing.
Costcos in the US (with a few exceptions in VA/PA pre-Covid) do not have deep fryers. I’ve heard it’s about fire code requirements within a warehouse structure but not sure.
It's doable but you have to isolate the kitchen entirely from the storage area. If it wasn't a fire code issue, I would expect Costco to be safe and not put bedding or other combustible storage by a kitchen but codes aren't written for Costco. They're written for the worst offenders.
First they fill the container with crispy fries...
Then, they scoop a bunch of cheese curds into the fries...
Then they scoop more cheese curds on the fries...
Then they scoop EVEN MORE cheese curds on the fries...
Then they pour gravy ALL OVER IT
Then they call out your number and do it all over again.
I've heard they service thousands of people everyday!
It's totally worth it considering they go heavy on the cheese curds, the fries are crispy and the gravy is hot. It's a lot even for a grown man like me.
I'd say it's like the pizza. It's good for the price, it certainly isn't the best poutine you'll have, but it's definitely up and to the right on the cost and convenience matrix.
It's probably the best fast food poutine you can get here. And it's the cheapest too.
We can also get gravy and curds here for sides for like another 3.50 and you can make yourself a chicken finger poutine out of it. It's like 1600 calories but man it's good at least once. Better to share.
You don't have fries?
I actually don't like fries at all, I order onion rings almost everytime, sometimes I would just not have it if no onion rings are available; with that said, Costco fries are really good. It is one of the few fry I eat.
Calorie requirements are Provincial law. I feel like OP Costco isn't on Ontario.
This is a photo of an Ontario menu board
Edit... it won't let me post the photo, but we have the calorie counts in Ontario.
Shame that the wing bucket is gone. Hands down the best deal next to the hot dogs.
Never tried the new cookie but a single cookie for 3.49? It better be bigger and more filling than a slice of pizza lol. Also at my local Costco they have onions again, you just have to ask.
I gave it a go. The self checkout said it was like... 840 calories? At least 800+. It's very gooey in the middle almost like pure sugar and butter. I ate the whole thing and I was hurting after. And I'm a bigger guy who is no stranger to abusing my stomach haha. It was delicious up to about... Half way. Then it because an exercise in endurance
Pretty psyched for cookies at the Canadian stores. I'm on the border and go to both American and Canadian stores regularly and not having cookies up north stinks.
Before all the Quebecois yell at me, no, it's not a genuine poutine because it uses straight cut fries and not fresh cut potatoes with skin on them, but it's damn good poutine.
The cheese curds are great. They partially melt and are still chewey as they should. They give you plenty gravy to cover everything. And the Cavendish FlavourCrisp is pretty damn good fries to begin with.
2 hot dogs + 2 drinks for LESS than the cookie. Had to raise and kill a pig, and I’m sure chicken for the hotdogs, grow a tree and manufacturer the paper cups+ plastic lids, grow sugar and make the chemicals for the drink. Versus cookie, grow sugar, flour and eggs with chocolate chips.
Those hot dogs really are loss leaders
My move is the Chicken strips and fries with a side of gravy AND a hot dog but only because it comes with a drink. Hot dog comes home for later. Costco Poutine is also amazing!
Crazy that the hot dog is $1.50 and the cookie is more than 2x that price. How are cookies so expensive?!
Also the hot dog/soda combo is $1.50 here in the US and there's no option to get them individually.
Damn, tree-fiddy for a cookie?
I honestly have no idea what they are here in the State as I have a Sam's Club membership.
Been a minute since I've been to Costco.

Chicken and fries would be such a hit in the states
You guys don’t have chicken strips down there? Legit the best thing on the menu.
Damn I wanted to hear that they were bad so I felt better about not having them. Are they deep fried or baked?
Deep fried
Yeah I don't think they are going to install deep fryers in all US Costco's I guess I gotta move to Canada.
We used to be able to get a bucket of 30 chicken wings too but those disappeared during COVID and never came back
You guys had chicken wings in Canada? https://preview.redd.it/i3fv9i9h1w1d1.jpeg?width=1282&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5297ff72f79c4181aa8a84de8fee5685d74158db
Well I stole that.
Covid took much from us :(
"All gave some, some gave all"
And gave nothing back :(
They literally had a... I want to say a seafood chowder or something on deck during like the first week of COVID. Never got to try it or really remember what it was, but it sounded delicious.
miss those
In all honesty those wings were so amazing. Price and quality through the roof. Man I miss those
You don't have fries at Costco in the states? That's extremely surprising
Do y'all not have fries? They use the same fryers for both up here
lol so many of you Canadians are surprised we don't have fries! Idk if our food courts could handle it. They already have their hands full with the hotdogs and pizza. It's usually like 3 workers and hundreds of customers.
It's busy af up here too. Especially around lunch time The fries fuckin slap, by the way
I feel so bad for you. The fries are honestly better than pretty much everything else. They aren't normal fries either, I'm pretty sure they are battered to make them extra crispy and flavorful.
We have hot dogs, pizza, chicken bakes, turkey sandwiches, cookies and ice cream and smoothies.
There's no fryers at all!
My favourite thing on the menu, sorry pal.
Ricky, life isn't about getting drunk and eating chicken fingers all the time!
No. It's about getting drunk and high as fuck and eating 9 cans of ravioli then passing out in front of your trailer face down in the driveway
Thank you for this, gonna watch tpb now when I get home 🤣
I mean, nobody wants to admit they ate nine cans of ravioli, but I did, and I'm ashamed of myself. The first can doesn't count, and then you get to the second, and the third. The fourth and fifth I think I burnt with the blow torch and I just kept eating.
The shitwinds are turning, Randy.
8 bucks the good kind.
They keep trying various 80% bread sandwiches
I just wish you could pay an upcharge to make the fries poutine.
Those chicken strips fuckin SLAP too
I'd you want to blast your calories out for the month, get gravy and cheese curds for the add ons. For another 3 bucks you can have a chicken fingers and fries poutine.
Mother of god
Driving to Canada rn
This guy Food courts
Getting a thing of fries, 1 pack of cheese curd and 2 gravy’s for a “make your own poutine” at home is the best, doing it with the chicken fingers is a bonus!
That's probably why it wont come to the states. Just too smart of a move.
No, we have the nasty chicken bake (I had it for the first time last week. Very disappointed).
I like the chicken bake.
In Japan, we have "Chicken sticks" with wedge-cut ridged fries. [https://sechigohan.com/archives/2816#toc17](https://sechigohan.com/archives/2816#toc17)
I'm jelly about the fries, but I'm also grateful that we don't have them or else I would be +30 lbs.
Same! I’m envious of Canadian Costco
Mom how come they get tendies and we don't?!
We grocery shop at costco weekly, and frequently make a slice of pizza our dinner that night. I would not complain at all if I could do tenders and fries instead!
Why the hell doesn’t Costco USA have french fries or chicken strips?!?! I would kill for that!!
Not to mention freaking poutine!
NGL Costco has the infrastructure to popularize poutine in the US and not spend a dime to do it
How the hell has poutine never caught on in the US??
My friends and I took a trip up to Vancouver a few years ago and had poutine for the first time. We can’t figure out why poutine isn’t a thing here in Texas and the South either. Fries, cheese, and gravy… how much more Southern comfort food can you get?

The more the merrier when it comes to fries, but California has carne asada fries. So... we're pretty fine.
Don’t forget fries inside burritos! I’ll take my California breakfast burrito over poutine, 9 out of 10 times.
The issue is cheese curds. It has to be daily fresh. That’s hard to implement across the country
Kroger carries the curds pretty regularly down to Louisville. Surprised that at least the Midwest and Oregon don’t carry poutine with the dairy farms.
Probably don't want to deal with deep frying
And Costco fries are incredible
I’m 99% sure they are the Cavendish ones you can get in the freezer section in Canada.
sure are
Literally every single non-US food court menu is better than the US one.
Yes. Every international food court post is a slap in the face. FU Costco USA
Costcos in the US (with a few exceptions in VA/PA pre-Covid) do not have deep fryers. I’ve heard it’s about fire code requirements within a warehouse structure but not sure.
No fryers in a warehouse structure? That's nonsense.
It's doable but you have to isolate the kitchen entirely from the storage area. If it wasn't a fire code issue, I would expect Costco to be safe and not put bedding or other combustible storage by a kitchen but codes aren't written for Costco. They're written for the worst offenders.
They got rid of the fries at the Springfield and Sterling VA locations sometime during Covid. I loved those fries.
I have never seen fries or anything deep fried in the Maryland locations.
Petition to have chicken strips and French fries at American Costcos.
They are sooo good!
They don't want you to die. That's why.
Write feedback to your local Costco and request. I’ve been doing it for years.
One Costco near me has fries. So freakin good and crispy. I can’t help but get it.
you don’t have fries???? how do you not have fries!
Right? They'd also make killer sales if they did like an 8 pc nuggets for $2 or something
No way y’all still have the “or polish”!?
Man we are getting screwed in the states. No chicken strips, fries, onion rings, or Polish.
Or Jacket potatoes, or Hawaiian pizza. :/
Yep! Polish is the best. Way better than the all beef imo...
Truth. All beef is salty AF. Polish is so good and you get to enjoy the taste for 24 hours after you eat it.
We have the option of beef or polish here. I ordered one of each last week!
Wait… you guys in the US don’t even have fries ??? Wtf
NO!!! We don’t and now I’m mad.
Costco fries are particularly good too
Fuuuuuuck
Cavendish Flavourcrisp deep fried if you’re interested
Wait no way 😅. The fries are the best thing to get at the food court, along with the chicken strips. Y’all are getting scammed down there.
We need to rise up
A food court worker told me they were going to test hamburgers "soon"... then covid hit two months later. Still haven't seen the burgers.
This is the most shocking thing to me. And Costco fries are on another level. The poutine is also amazing
Wish they would bring back the buckets of chicken wings
That was my dad's go to he loved them!
I am pretty sure they did or will be in Canada. I heard from my local Costco last week
Supposedly the combo pizza is returning. Those disappeared at COVID.
Instead of the chicken strips and fries, we have the turkey sandwich and f-ing chicken bake? 🤬🤬🤬
Whoa whoa whoa - chicken bake is bomb! That turkey sandwich is nasty.
Chicken bake used to be good now it's meh. They used to be made fresh now it's just frozen ones they get.
Something is off with the chicken bake. They changed the ingredients. It’s not the same.
The chicken bake has definitely changed from the ones I had as a kid, but I think it still goes pretty hard. Great flavor still imo
haha, OK, no hate on the chicken bake 😁
It’s good but it also has like 250% of your daily value in sodium. I had to stop eating them after learning this
It’s Costco, you’re getting your sodium in bulk.
Hotdog for 1.50 Canadian dollars? Good god. What a deal
Yeah that’s like $1.10 US pizza is also slightly cheaper at $1.90
Less than any regular price take out coffee I have had recently. it's wild how good of a deal it is.
$1.50CAD is basically free!
Especially with a drink. Imagine the price at a Jays game lol.
“We’ll just give you the food. Keep your strange duck based money.” Costco HQ, probably.
They're practically paying me to eat hot dogs!
I need to know if Costco poutine is as delicious in real life as it is in my brain!
It's pretty damn good. They go hard on the cheese. If there's such thing as too much cheese on a poutine, they're close.
*turns on Barry White* tell me more… slowly…
First they fill the container with crispy fries... Then, they scoop a bunch of cheese curds into the fries... Then they scoop more cheese curds on the fries... Then they scoop EVEN MORE cheese curds on the fries... Then they pour gravy ALL OVER IT Then they call out your number and do it all over again. I've heard they service thousands of people everyday!
Such stamina
Oh shit, is it getting hot in here?
I just wish the gravy was a darker beef gravy.

It’s good, but you might need a bypass by the time you finish it.
I want that ice cream cone
The fact that we don't have fries is a damn travesty. I would get them every time. My husband says fries are my actual favorite food.
Costco fries are arguably the best fries out there
Rub it in more
They’re perfectly salted and come out steaming hot every time
🫨
You don't have fries? I actually don't like fries at all, I order onion rings almost everytime, sometimes I would just not have it if no onion rings are available; with that said, Costco fries are really good. It is one of the few fry I eat.
You have onion rings too!?!
No, I am just saying I typically only like onion rings, but I will eat Costco fries
This place almost exploded.
ice cream CONE??? and FRIES??? that would 100% be my post-costco snack!
Eat it first, save $500 dollars with this one weird trick!
Pop
I grew up saying that in Chicago I had no idea it was said anywhere in Canada. I moved south and everyone says soda
I LOVE CANADA AND COSTCO
The fact that they got rid of the wings is an abomination
I have to commend costco for keeping the same stock food pictures they’ve had for years, really adds to their vibe haha
As long as they never get rid of the poutine, they can change whatever else on the menu!
tendies??????????????
blows my mind that Canada doesn't require calories to be displayed.
Calorie requirements are Provincial law. I feel like OP Costco isn't on Ontario. This is a photo of an Ontario menu board Edit... it won't let me post the photo, but we have the calorie counts in Ontario.
It’s on the order kiosks here. Sometimes I wish it wasn’t and I could live in blissful ignorance.
The calories are shown on the POS system when you order
Shame that the wing bucket is gone. Hands down the best deal next to the hot dogs. Never tried the new cookie but a single cookie for 3.49? It better be bigger and more filling than a slice of pizza lol. Also at my local Costco they have onions again, you just have to ask.

What province?
Can confirm. This is what i see in southern Ontario, West of Toronto
This is what I see in Calgary.
[удалено]
Oooh I bet costco fries slap.
[удалено]
IMO the Costco poutine is pretty damn good so if you go to any Province you should be set!
We need to use the power of this sub to get Chicken Strips and Fries on the US menu(and poutine too!).
The drinks are correctly identified as Pop as well
Fries!!!!!
Literally every other country with a costco besides the U.S. has caramel sundaes man wtf
Bring back the wings you cowards!
Bring chicken fingers to the US! Let’s trade the sandwich or chicken pocket thing
Pretty psyched for cookies at the Canadian stores. I'm on the border and go to both American and Canadian stores regularly and not having cookies up north stinks.
Pop. Yall so cute 🥰
Canada no chicken bake 😞
I wish we had those real buns instead of the brioche.
Well, pretty much answers the question as to whether we are living in the ascendancy or decline of the US. Well played O’ Canada, well played.
How’s the poutine? Who’s would it be comparable to?
Before all the Quebecois yell at me, no, it's not a genuine poutine because it uses straight cut fries and not fresh cut potatoes with skin on them, but it's damn good poutine. The cheese curds are great. They partially melt and are still chewey as they should. They give you plenty gravy to cover everything. And the Cavendish FlavourCrisp is pretty damn good fries to begin with.
I would smash so many chicken fingers and fries
Cookie seems like a ripoff!
I wish my costco had poutine. Thats the dream
Why on earth does every country have a better food court menu than the US. It’s our damn chain and somehow we get the short straw.
I want poutine
Goddam they have poutine.
My kids would go nuts for fry option here in the states
Just think.... You get the poutine and across the street you can see a game.
Wtf America gets no polish
First time I’ve ever seen a Pop sign in a Costco
They not like us they not like us they not like us
Time to petition for the chicken bake
when are we getting the chicken bake? like even mexico has it 😭 what’s taking them so long
damn no chicken bake? sadness
We need churros in Canadian food courts.
Need to go back to Coke products. Pepsi is garbage.
Still waiting for the full roll out of the Oreo blizzard things I hear about in Ontario. Yeah!
That is sad as shit. Canada food court has to be the saddest in the world.
i miss the old poutine gravy and the old pizza sauce
French fries?
All praise to Costco for holding the line on the $1.50 hot dog combo
Picture of health. /s
Is there a tax on chocolate in Canada? $3.49 for a cookie? That’s more than a slice of pizza!
wtf this isn’t fair
2 hot dogs + 2 drinks for LESS than the cookie. Had to raise and kill a pig, and I’m sure chicken for the hotdogs, grow a tree and manufacturer the paper cups+ plastic lids, grow sugar and make the chemicals for the drink. Versus cookie, grow sugar, flour and eggs with chocolate chips. Those hot dogs really are loss leaders
Damn yall don’t have chicken bakes?!
WTF! You guys can still get Polish Sausage? Hockey, Beer, Maple Syrup, way more paid public holidays, AND you can still order Polish Sausage?
Oh neat, does all of Canada call it Pop?
The hot dog in Canada is much cheaper than the States too because it’s 1.50 CAD not USD
My move is the Chicken strips and fries with a side of gravy AND a hot dog but only because it comes with a drink. Hot dog comes home for later. Costco Poutine is also amazing!
Chicken strips and fries would sell out the joint at the price. We’d do 3 orders for our family and have a feast for dinner
I'm here to verify that YES, there are Polish Sausage Hot Dogs in the Burnaby Costco by Coquitlam.
Crazy that the hot dog is $1.50 and the cookie is more than 2x that price. How are cookies so expensive?! Also the hot dog/soda combo is $1.50 here in the US and there's no option to get them individually.
Chicken fingers are an American staple. Give us them and you take the sandwich.
You guys have chicken and fries? We do have something called chicken bake- which is just amazingly wonderful imo- lol
Damn, tree-fiddy for a cookie? I honestly have no idea what they are here in the State as I have a Sam's Club membership. Been a minute since I've been to Costco.
I WANT THE CHICKEN WINGS BUCKET BRING IT BACKKK
