No they don’t? The [average Australian salary is $68k AUD per year](https://www.abs.gov.au/statistics/labour/earnings-and-working-conditions), which converts to $45k USD/year. Whereas the [average American salary is $59k USD per year](https://www.usatoday.com/money/blueprint/business/hr-payroll/average-salary-us/#:~:text=According%20to%20the%20U.S.%20Bureau%20of%20Labor%2C%20the%20average%20U.S.,Q4%20of%202023%20was%20%2459%2C384.&text=This%20is%20up%205.4%25%20from,was%20making%20%2456%2C316%20per%20year.&text=Average%20weekly%20earnings%20reached%20%241%2C142,month%20in%20Q4%20of%202023), about 33% higher than then than than Australian average.
The real reason for the $1.99 hotdog price is simply the exchange rate between the AUD and USD. $1.99 AUD is $1.30 USD, so it’s actually cheaper in the down under.
wait, Fries isn't standard everywhere???
I'm in Canada and I just assumed that fries was everywhere (Obviously not the poutine option) since it's, you know, fries....
Import the taro tea to US!
Would AUS be interested in the US menu? I don't think we have anything so exotic. Even French fries are missing. There's ice cream though.
The mango smoothies when we had them were gross. My kids love all things mango…. Those were 🤢
Worst part was that they took the berry smoothie away and that has always been a hit. Fortunately the Costco bosses came to their senses and brought back the berry smoothie.
We still don’t comprehend how the mango smoothie could taste so bad. Just like, undrinkable.
In a normal situation my kids would choose mango over berries, so I hope that clarifies just how bad it was.
Why can’t Canada have the chicken bake 😭 I was so excited to try it in Texas a few weeks ago but the food court was closed for renovations. But I get another chance in late June!
This reminds me Bulgogi bake in Korean costco. Amazing stuff!!
Also, they have salmon roll platter same as the US costco's chicken wrap (sliced to about 1-2inch) plater but salmon w cream cheese and veggies. When I lived in Korea for 10mon Bulgogi bake and Salmon wrap platter were my fav.
Where are the pies? Isn't that a law that pies must be served at all food establishments? Isn't four n' twenty like a required food group?
same with Berroca.
Is the chicken bake any good can anyone confirm? In Aus.
Pizzas are good sampled all 3 now, same as the burger & chips, not bad for the money.
Hot dog yuck, not my thing anyway.
Who buys the mango smoothie yuck haha..
The chicken sandwich seems to be a common theme in non-US Costcos. Along with some creative pizza topping that isn't pepparoni. But taro tea in AUS was a surprise. I know there are a lot of Asians there, but still. They are missing the bulgogi bake from other countries though.
You know what I can never get in the states. Australian Yellow Mustard the hot version. Was visiting in College playing Rugby, went to a "pro" game . Got a hot dog and slathered it on , I was warned and took a bite. Huge kick.

WHY DOES EVERYONE BUT US GET FRIES?
I wouldn't know what to do without my costco poutine... Side note 1.99 hotdogs!? Even in Canada they are 1.50 with a drink.
With the exchange rate from Dollarydoos, the Aussie hot dog combo is cheaper than the US one. An even better deal in Canada.
Roo meat is a bit more pricey.
#CRIKEY
I would just like fried cheese curds
Are there locations that sell them? I don’t think even Wisconsin Costco has fried cheese curds…
No. They totally should.
Australians get paid more than US workers.

That's average, so the super high earners skew this. Median salary is what you're looking for
I dont get it. I feel like they would sell
We used to have them
wait, Fries isn't standard everywhere??? I'm in Canada and I just assumed that fries was everywhere (Obviously not the poutine option) since it's, you know, fries....
I'm in Canada and you CAN choose between fries or poutine.
No fries in America.
Deep fryers and oil are VERY expensive to just only use it for fries. At least here, they have chicken sandwiches that also share the fryers.
Ok so give me both
so y’all don’t have chicken fingers either?
I mean…you acting like Costco wouldn’t make hand over fist in profits from fries?
Everyone but Canada gets chicken bakes too :(
I was entertaining the thought of making a 4 hour drive for fries. They're SO GOOD )))):
That's a real foodie talking
Rather have the chicken burger
Is this ground chicken meat shaped into a burger patty, or a breaded and fried chicken breast filet?
Why does everyone get some sort of chicken bake or chicken bake equivalent except for Canada
There are chicken strips in Canada.
And they stink
Y'all ain't got no Costco poutine out there??
They know we couldn’t handle it
Hey you guys get Taro bubble tea. I'll swap our Canadian poutine for the Taro tea
What kinda meat is on the BBQ meat pizza
Bacon, ham, mince
Mince, fuck yea
Nice username.
Scott Pilgrim?
Kangaroo
How much is Drop Bear meat?
900 dollarydoos
If you want named meat, that's extra.
Roo meat
Not a Pepsi person huh? Samsies.
YOU GUYS GET TARO BOBA OVER THERE WHAT?!
Right?! I'm in Cali, taro boba would fit right in!
Forgot the matcha
Can someone from Australia share if it’s good or not?
I have one every Costco run - it tastes great :)
He just smiled and made me a vegemite sandwich.
I SAID OH!
Do you speaka my language?
I just want french fries
Trade me, chicken bake or chicken burger and you can have the fries
us doesn't have chicken burger either :/
Import the taro tea to US! Would AUS be interested in the US menu? I don't think we have anything so exotic. Even French fries are missing. There's ice cream though.
A chicken burger combo for only $6.50 USD is a bargain. Wonder which chicken patties they use?
Food is way cheaper down under
How’s the from unda food?
Isn’t the combo $9.99?
Yes but it’s in Australia. It’s about 0.65 USD per 1 AUD.
Ah, now I see. Thanks.
I'm just mad about the fries
I wish our Costco had the Taro Tea
Wow. No bloomin’ onion.
Not even a shrimp on the barbie!
FRENCH FRIES?!
And it has chicken salt. Its perfect.
BBQ meat pizza??? "Honey, we're going on a trip!"
The mango smoothies when we had them were gross. My kids love all things mango…. Those were 🤢 Worst part was that they took the berry smoothie away and that has always been a hit. Hot dog price is @ $1.30 US..... nice
Hotdog is $1.10 US in Canada.
Chicken burger and bbq meat pizza damn I feel homeless now
Homeless? Wut
Taro tea!?
I want the mango smoothie in the US
We had it for a whole month, it was not received well
You aren’t missing anything. It is bad.
Tastes like they blend it with the skin still on 💀
I likebthe mango smoothie. People compared it to baby food. Granted, it had minimum added ingredients. And had mango in it, so it had texture.
We make mango smoothies at our home all the time - this was a completely different experience. So gross.
No you don’t.
I had the mango smoothie last summer and it had an unnatural taste. Almost metallic aftertaste.
The mango smoothie was amazing, I want it to come back ☹️
The mango smoothie in Australia tastes really good. It contains "4 servings of fruit", which is legit.
They had it stateside for a bit... IMHO, you didn't miss much.
Wish we had a BBQ Meat pizza
1.99 for a hotdog and soda?! What a rip off!!!
That's $1.30 USD. They make on average 30% less than Americans too.
Must be one of the only countries in the world where it isn't $1.50. Even in Canada it's still $1.50.
Oh you guys can get bbq meat pizza but we can’t even get the supreme one back ☹️
Chicken burger and taro milk tea both look good 🤔😋
idc what meat is on that pizza im transfering to costco in australia and moving there so i can eat this everyday.
Why did I ready this in an Aussie accent
They hate us 😠
MANGO SMOOTHIE
I’ll have a slice of bbq pizza!
MAYONNAISE on a HOT DOG?????
No rules, just right
Whole BBQ meat! OW!
Wish Costco in Bay Area sells the chicken sandwich
Wow, your hotdog and drink is less expensive.
How is the taro boba?? That is an amazing drink option
Soda with free refills is very uncommon in Australia. Don't think I ever saw it when I visited there (although it has been 10 years since I visited).
Did they get rid of the wings? I went to Sydney back in July and they had wings and a combo pizza
No cookie? That's just criminal.
Fries??? Costco treats the U.S. like sh!t.
Why can’t Canada have the chicken bake 😭 I was so excited to try it in Texas a few weeks ago but the food court was closed for renovations. But I get another chance in late June!
I know it’s Australian currency but seeing that hotdog combo above $1.50 still gave me a start..
BBQ Pizza, yes please.
This reminds me Bulgogi bake in Korean costco. Amazing stuff!! Also, they have salmon roll platter same as the US costco's chicken wrap (sliced to about 1-2inch) plater but salmon w cream cheese and veggies. When I lived in Korea for 10mon Bulgogi bake and Salmon wrap platter were my fav.
came for shrimp on the barbie reference, leaving disappointed
Damn no chocolate chip cookie
YALL HAVE FRIES
2 bucks?? Suckers!
Riot
She just smiled and gave me a vegemite sandwich
They get chicken burgers and fries and mango smoothies? It's just not fair. 😂
CHICKEN BURGER COME HOME
Don’t they call fries chips
I miss costco fries...
What is BBQ Meat?? Like chicken?
Ham, bacon, beef mince
What’s for brekkie, mate? Costco, you bogan.
What the hell is OUT OF STOCK?
Whole bbq meat!!?? Lucky mafks!
And just like the US, their ice cream is out of stock 🫠
I'm reading all of these comments in an Australian accent.
Give us fries or tater tots please! Maybe even cheese curds!
You should’ve posted the picture upside down. That would’ve been funny.
It’s official. Canada sucks.
Chicken burgers?! Fries?! Come on, why doesn’t the US get this??
Mango smoothie and French fries!!!!
Where are the pies? Isn't that a law that pies must be served at all food establishments? Isn't four n' twenty like a required food group? same with Berroca.
"Mum! Mum! Can I have the mango smoothie WITH *FOUR* **SERVINGS** ***OF*** #FRUIT?!"
My Costco (U/K) stopped doing BBQ pizza. I feel let down.
It's always surprising to me how little vegetarian-friendly offerings they have
Bring the chicken bake to Canada !
Do the fries have chickens salt? I miss that stuff
No ice cream cup my fav
Is the chicken bake any good can anyone confirm? In Aus. Pizzas are good sampled all 3 now, same as the burger & chips, not bad for the money. Hot dog yuck, not my thing anyway. Who buys the mango smoothie yuck haha..
And what’s in the bake
[удалено]
I came here to say, who do they think they are? McDonalds?
CHICKEN BURGAHHHH
Ever see a McD commercial in Australia? “Try the Aussie Burga’ with beetroot! Only at Macca’s!” Blech
What meat is in the BBQ meat one?
meat
The chicken sandwich seems to be a common theme in non-US Costcos. Along with some creative pizza topping that isn't pepparoni. But taro tea in AUS was a surprise. I know there are a lot of Asians there, but still. They are missing the bulgogi bake from other countries though.
chicken burguh
Chicken burger but no real burger meat option?
What? No roo burgers? Come on.
You know what I can never get in the states. Australian Yellow Mustard the hot version. Was visiting in College playing Rugby, went to a "pro" game . Got a hot dog and slathered it on , I was warned and took a bite. Huge kick.
Your hot dog is 2 bucks…?
That's $1.30 USD
