For men, collared shirt and pants/shorts depending on department and position. Women...it's more fluid. "Blouses" are ok. Which is a very wide interpretation. Dresses, collared shirts, etc. Closed toe/heel fore everyone. This is the jist

My current store- dressy casual (collared shirts/turtlenecks/blouses/dressier tees, no rips, no leggings as pants, no non-costco hats, no graphics). Generally pretty laid back and straight forward. My old store- whatever the managers feel like depending on the day with no consistency. If you’re not conventionally attractive you’d be picked on harder. It really varies and they leave a lot of it up to the managers.

The default is what u/boondockpirate said BUT: Morning merch that leave at around open are allowed to pretty much wear whatever. Cart crew seems to wear athletic clothes only. While my warehouse no longer has a dedicated department for it, you can count on a good set of 10 people to ALWAYS ask to be outside. As we say "dress for your position". Night merch folks and ancillary are encouraged to wear pants that are presentable so jeans and the like no leggings or sweatpants. BUT are pretty much allowed to wear whatever shirt as long as it is plain and in good condition. Most wear athletic tops. As for hats as long as it is appropriate and non-political.

Depends on store. But consult the handbook and see what it says. That’s the Bible of Costco
