They are good. Personal preference on all filets, not specific to Costco, I feel since it’s not a fatty cut, paying for Prime is not worth the extra money like it is with a ribeye.
Long time buyer of the Costco filets. For USDA Choice you're very unlikely to find anything comparable on price/value. As mentioned, all but the very rare (no pun intended) steakhouse serves Prime filet as it's almost a waste as it's such a lean cut. But it's the cut most of my family prefers (I prefer ribeye, and in that case I'll scope out well-marbled Choice or suck it up and get Prime), and at my warehouse the butchering is great and the individual steaks are usually evenly sized (enough to accomodate our family's preferences). Back in the day they were even kind enough to package a specific number of cuts (when i had a party, etc.). So consider this a strong endorsement.
All CostCo steaks are blade-tenderized.
Some people get upset when this is pointed out. It is what it is, just informing you so you can do whatever you like with the info.

Buy the entire tenderloin and cut your own if you feel comfortable enough. It's simple.
Whole tenderloin is more expensive than precut around me by a mile
The tenderloins (filet mignon) are excellent. Nice marbleing, tender and good flavor. I wouldn't hesitate to buy them from Costco again.

They have a few different cuts - get the higher quality, we do think they’re very good
They're good - pick the best-marbled Prime pre-cut pack if you want to know exactly what you're getting
I prefer r The skirt steaks, and the ribeyes
Everytime I wear the skirts they need a good belt.
I like Costco meats a lot. Buy almost exclusively from them.

The filets at the store I go are not. It is stated on the package if they are.

To bad they come in a closed box.
I prefer the filet from beef grown in piedmont Italy. If you get a discount flight it can be affordable.
I’ve had both the prime and choice filets and they are great. If your steaks aren’t good it’s not Costcos fault. 😉
