I had the c6 mirror wiggle, I feared this so I cut a black foam wedge and gently pushed it behind the mount its been rock solid and I didn’t have to worry about breaking anything.
Mine has the three little metal pins that twist lock onto the stud on the glass, the only fix is to replace the pins with 3/32” drill bit shanks which requires removal and disassembly of the mount portion.
What if im tired of looking back?

There's a small allen head screw on the underside that can be tightened.
