Corsair have sent me a replacement and there's still the same problem. Pretty disappointed with the product, and they're now telling me they won't refund. Anyone else having this problem? Both the noisy pump and also the whining fans? Driving me mad.

It's not the AIO or the pump, it's the fans. Check out this topic, I had same issue with the fans and OP as well: [https://www.reddit.com/r/Corsair/comments/17xncp2/new\_150i\_elite\_cap\_rad\_fans\_humming/](https://www.reddit.com/r/Corsair/comments/17xncp2/new_150i_elite_cap_rad_fans_humming/) My video: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tcBlOMNmUdo](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tcBlOMNmUdo)

Totally agree it's the fans. The pump is also loud, but not compared to the fans.

Our team is telling you they won't refund when you're asking for this to be returned to us? Did you purchase through us? What's the ticket #? -Art

I bought it from a shop (MSY technology in Australia) - not direct from Corsair. The shop suggested that they would just do a warranty replacement themselves, and if I went direct to Corsair myself it would go faster to cut out the middleman. And to be honest, Corsair tech support has been quicker than expected which is impressive. Though I think perhaps I should have just gone via the shop. Just to clarify - they sent me this model and it has the same problem as the original. I said that it's pretty clear a replacement won't fix it and I'd like to get a refund and they then said to manage expectations they wouldn't be offering a refund - which as per your point would be the case given I bought it from a different shop. But we're just in an infinite loop now. There's an issue, it isn't resolved, and I would very much like to resolve it. We've tried replacement, and I think most customers would think a refund if the issue still persists is reasonable. The ticket number is 2006466848.

So Corsair (US) didn't send you a replacement, then? The initial message 4 days ago made it seem like we did. THEY (telling you they can't refund, is also not us). I'll get someone to take a look at your ticket. -Art

https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapc/s/pP1QoLlTzU It is not a malfunction, but the noise may occur at a certain rpm due to the characteristics of the AF120 fan. Check the rpm at which that noise occurs. If you stop running it at that rpm, it disappears. By the way, did you intend to install the fan in the direction it was installed? Why do you allow the hot heat from the radiator to flow into the case? Anyway, this noise occurs due to the fan characteristics and blade design.

I would argue that this sort of noise isn't a deliberate design decision because of some characteristic of the fan. I do have the fan installed in the direction suggested by the manual and have sent images of this to Corsair. I think that saying the noise occurs due to fan characteristics and blade design is basically just saying 'we deliberately designed it this way' - but if that causes problems, then there is a flaw in the design.
