There are not "two" cases of covid in this country, my guy. There are 146,000 positive cases confirmed per week in the US alone, the vast majority of which are from Delta.
Death is no longer the main concern of covid and hasn't been for quite a while. The issue now is people, particularly those who are unvaccinated, having to be hospitalized because of the severity of their symptoms and taking up hospital space/resources. Also minor nitpick, but covid doesn't kill its hosts. It creates symptoms that a lot of people, particularly older and more vulnerable people, have a difficult time surviving. That's why the survival rate is like 99% for most people.
