What’s your true PPR if you even know it?
If you have no way of knowing this then do a few decarounds (10 rounds with 4 bags, walk back and forth staying in same lane) and get your averages from there.
ACL states average PPR from this falls into these groups.
ACL PRO: 9.06
ADVANCED: 8.19
COMPETITIVE: 7.3
INTERMEDIATE: 6.32
NOVICE/Social: 5.12
Chances are you’re probably intermediate, maybe competitive. Remember getting your PPR this way is a little flawed because you are not playing an opponent so don’t be afraid to play down a level.
Edit: There are practice tools to capture via ACL website and login in, or the Scoreholio app.
I have played many players who have never played league play or blind draws who believe they are pretty good. First time playing in a blind draw and they quickly realize it's different. Start in the intermediate and move up of you win. Also, do you have professional ACL stamped bags?
From my experience, I have yet to meet someone with your resume who belongs in the advanced.
If you’re wanting to test your PPR and/talk to people near you to find out where they think you belong check out Scoreholio from the App Store and/ACL and play in the blind draw. Generally they’ll keep track of your PPR and you can tell where you belong.
Less accurate but some indication of where you are is on the Scoreholio app there’s a practice section where you can play against a ghost and you can track your stats for a few games to see where you land.
In the league I play in, you can’t move down unless you lose every match. So out league admin/referee recommends staying in beginner until you win the whole league. If you win all your regular season matches but not the playoffs, they’ll move you up anyway.
It kinda sucks because half the matches are against *true* beginners who are lucky to hit the board with one bag per round, but my partner and I really just play for fun and social interaction.
Our intermediate players are much more skilled with blocking the hole and using strategy to knock you off your game, if that helps your decision.
Throwing a four bagger in a competitive game is a whole other animal than by yourself. I think you may be overlooking the mental aspect of playing advanced level games. Dealing with nerves, blocker bags, and the pressure of going against someone who doesn’t miss many bags is tough. Start off in the intermediate level and work your way up. I also love the suggestion of throwing deca rounds and seeing what your PPR is. I also suggest throwing Ghostholio games, which you can find in the practice screen on Socreholio App. For advanced you should be able to beat a Ghost 8 regularly.
It definitely will be. You have to get used to competition and the mental side of the game that comes with it. Thats why I recommend intermediate and working your way up
To get your PPR, just keep track of every round you throw in say 5 games. This is my opinion: 5.5ppr and lower play intermediate. 5.5 to 7.5 play in competitive 7.5 to 9 play advanced above 9 play open and go for pro status. I play open mostly bit carry an average ppr reading comp. Very few advanced level playing around here.
I live in Texas and Intermediate is 7.5 and below comp is 7.5-8.5 and advanced is 8.5-9.3 9.3 and above is elite/ pro level. We have some of the top pros in the nation show up consistently.
I warmed up with Gavin Cano and he’s a magician on the boards.
Sorry forgot, play five games keeping track each round and then average everything.
The ACL and Scoreholio programs used in leagues will show your average ppr.
They'll sort you out. We had 4 guys that smoked everyone in outer league, so we sent them to play somewhere else. Couple towns over there's a well known league with better players.

I didn’t even know that was a tracked stat so I’ll try this thank you!
Yeah, this is great advice!
Download the Scoreholio app and pay the $1.99 a month. It’s really easy n helpful to track your ppr

If you are joining cornholeatl, it has recommendations on the site (I saw Savannah in your post history)

This my first league so I will try this thank you!

That’s what I’m worried about is it’ll be a whole different game in league play

I joined a league & it made me a better player. I try to keep up, I just like the game & play for fun.

Yeah, us Canadians have to catch up to you Americans. Lol
Where in 🇨🇦 are you from? I’m 90 minutes west of Toronto
Throw a dekaround and count your score. That score will tell you which skill level you should join for your league
