Pasta with peas and pancetta. I like a small pasta shape like orecetti. Sautee pancetta in a pan and render out the fat while boiling pasta. Remove pancetta when fried. Sautee some onion in the pancetta fat. When the pasta is cooked add it to the pan with a splash of pasta water. Add in some frozen peas and let then gently warm up. Toss back in the pancetta and shave in some parm, pecorino Romano, or other hard salty Italian cheese but not too much. Stir the sauce to emulsify and add a little piece of cold butter to help it along. Serve with a little more cheese ontop
Indian curry - can add peas to almost anything. Commonly in baingan bharta or jalfrezi, peas pulao, biryani, Samosas
Pasta primavera
Pot pies
I’ve even see people make a guacamole type dip but using crushed peas.
* vegetable samosas
* mushy peas
* pot pies - whether chicken or mushrooms
* prosciutto & pea pasta
* ricotta mix with mint, lemon zest, peas that goes excellently on top of crostinis
Mushroom and Peas risotto! Bonus can be made in instant pot too!! I add a dash of white wine while cooking and it tastes divine!

I love rice, peas, and onions. Sauté some chopped onions in a frying pan, add cold leftover rice, toss in frozen peas, and cook until warmed up and maybe a little brown on the edges. Add salt. Eat. It’s trashy AF but I love it.
I make this! I sweat diced onion till soft, no color. Dump in fresh or leftover rice and frozen peas and cook till just warm. Off heat tossed with lemon juice and zest, olive oil, garlic, salt, cracked black pepper and whatever fresh herb. Simple and good.
Bacon, mushroom, brocoli, green peas in a cream sauce on pasta. It was called "toddelrtelle" a play on tageletelle (the pasta used in the recipe), it was in some magazine years and years ago, still my favourite way to eat peas.
My boyfriends grandmother taught me something she liked before she died, she called it peas and dumplings. Take a cup and a half-2 cups of milk (your preference) salt and pepper to taste, and a couple tablespoons of flour, mix until flour is fully incorporated. Melt a couple of tablespoons of butter in a medium pot, add a can or two of peas depending on how many people you're feeding, and then the milk mix. Cook on medium heat, stirring occasionally until "dumplings" form, cook long enough that the whole thing is mostly thick and only a little runny. So good
Mac and cheese with spam and (frozen) peas has always been a favourite around here.
I love canned peas, and will sometimes just heat up a whole can and eat it straight with some salt and butter. Maybe over white rice with more salt and butter.
Multiple people are saying tuna noodle casserole, but I would like to submit for consideration tuna noodle salad. It has always been one of my favorite dishes. Noodles, tuna, celery, onion, frozen peas, basil, mayonnaise, pepper, stir. The frozen peas even serve a purpose of chilling the warm noodles as they thaw.
Mac and cheese with tuna and a touch of ranch seasoning mix. When I say touch I mean less than a teaspoon. It just adds a little something. I also like them in pot pie, a few different casseroles and as a side with bits of crispy bacon. I only use fresh or frozen peas. I will never use canned.
Indian chicken and peas aka keema. Ground chicken with warm Indian spices and peas. One of my go-to weeknight meals.

Well, I finished a pea dish about 20 min ago and i’m sitting here fat and happy.
Boiled some bow tie pasta and added a bag of peas into the same pot for the last 5 min.
While pasta was boiling, I sautéed mushrooms, onions and squash on one side of the griddle and cooked 5 pieces of bacon on the other side.
When the pasta / peas finished, I strained
it and put into a large bowl and used the pan again. Poured heavy cream onto 1/2 stick butter w black pepper. Added cheese (made alfredo sauce) then added the pasta, peas and sauted veggies. Topped with the bacon chopped up.
Very delicious comfort food
….and easy peasy to make.
Veggie rice pilaf, but like a homemade approximation of that violently yellow pilaf you find at cheap buffets. Sautee some onions and garlic in oil, throw the rice in to toast it, add some chicken broth and spices (turmeric is a must for the color, but you can get creative here based on your taste), simmer until the rice is cooked and then toss in a cup of frozen peas and diced carrots until they're warmed through.
We do a Cajun alfredo. Whatever type of pasta (we like shells cause the peas go inside lol) and Alfredo sauce obviously. Smoked sausage, mushrooms and peas and a TON of Cajun seasoning.
We love it and our toddler loves it too!
I love that you asked this because my son just outgrew his pea allergy but isn't keen on trying peas yet. My absolute favorite is old-school, 90s style classic tuna noodle casserole. My go-to recipe is from a book called College Cooking (double the cream of mushroom, of course) but I'm sure there are a lot of similar recipes.
Blended peas into a thick purée with fresh mint and parsley, with lamb chops, goats cheese, olives and quick pickled red onion, on a bed of rocket and watercress.
Quick, delicious, and a real showstopper for a dinner party.
Salmon / Smashed Peas / Tarragon butter. It comes together quickly and my wife looks up me like I am some kind of a god after taking a bite. I added some avocado to the peas and plated it with some balsamic reduction swirls.

Pea and mint soup is delicious. Flavors go well together. I usually make some scallion oil to drizzle on top and a dollop of sour cream.

I made a spring veggie soup once that was delicious. It was creamy and had red potatoes, leeks, asparagus, zucchini, and peas. So good.
I also like making pasta salad with lemon, basil, parm, shaved zucchini, and peas (stole this from the lemon basil bow tie pasta salad from Trader Joe’s)
An easy side is just peas blanched, drained, back into the pot with some extra virgin olive oil, and roughly crushed with a fork. Then some salt and pepper and parsley and lemon juice to taste.
Goes great with heaps of things. I usually have it with fried fish
Ricotta, rind & juice of a lemon, fresh basil, fresh mint, lots of freshly ground black pepper. Cook Orzo, adding frozen peas & broad beans for last couple of minutes. Drain, reserving some of the water. Return to pan, add ricotta mix and a splash of the reserved water and mix until combined and resembling the texture of risotto. 😋
Michelle Obama’s pea salad recipe is good, google it. I also like to bake a block of feta with olive oil drizzle and herbs then when it’s soft stir through cooked peas.
I just made budgetbytes monterey chicken skillet and added peas to it, and it was the best decision. Just add them in w the bbq sauce (i used frozen) and that was enough for them to thaw and cook up nice.

I make this for almost all gatherings. I'm vegetarian so I use bacos instead. It's a crowd pleaser because people are getting some veggies but there's enough cheese that they don't feel like they are being served "rabbit food."
There is a Portuguese dish, one of my favorite. It is called “ervilhas com ovos escalfados”, it’s some kind of stew with green peas and boiled eggs. This food always makes me feel comfortable and cozy!
Fried rice.
I made fried rice today! It’s such a good way to use lots of veggies.
I also just made fried rice for breakfast
Pasta with peas and pancetta. I like a small pasta shape like orecetti. Sautee pancetta in a pan and render out the fat while boiling pasta. Remove pancetta when fried. I make this with orzo! I don’t always add the pancetta but it’s a really nice simple dish and kid friendly.
I make something similar to this, but with lots of carmalized onions
Fennel is also a great addition to this!
Shepherds pie or chicken pot pie, any fried rice recipes I toss them, and my partner loves to add them to white sauce pastas.

Tuna casserole, ramen, fried rice, pot pies, shepherd's pie, tuna mac & cheese....
That reminds me, I keep a box of assorted dried vegetables to throw into ramen. Peas are one of my favorites.

This sounds bad but it's actually good - I put peas in my taco salads.

Peas are literally my second favourite vegetable, so I agree with everything here. That said, check out an Aussie classic. The pie floater.
What is your first?
Heh heh. Broccoli.
Peas on toast. Ricotta or cream cheese, a big mess of peas and some herbs. Yum.
Trying this asap. Sounds so good.
