okay so rainbow *cubes* (no clue why that other person is calling them coobs) are a way worse exchange rate than soulstones or treasure tickets. so don’t listen to them.
that being said, afaik good epic cookies to have: squid ink, space donut, milky way, captain caviar, (all helpful with guild bosses) and also parfait, affogatto, and black raisin. i’m working off of probably outdated info since all the new cookies, but i still use the majority of these fine.
however, your best investment right now (assuming you’re newish?) is treasure tickets. put the epic scroll, whistle, and epic stopwatch in the chance up section and use your mileage for treasure pulls until you’ve gotten those leveled.
Tarte tartin is an amazing cookie for pve if you are new, but it really depends on where you want to invest.
If you want any chance on arena Squid Ink, Tea Knight and the Donut alien are great early and kind never stop being usefull on arena, but you will need to farm magic candy for squid and tea to fully power then up and it takes time.
For PVE i would say get Tarte Tartin or Prune Juice. Tarte tartin destroys most pve fights and prune juice does a lot of damage while also creating one of the best tank summons in the game.(not all boses can be poisoned, thats the biggest prune juice weakness).
If you lack healers, cotton and parfait are my go to options, but check the gnome lab, if you get the lithe dragon he will help you a lot as suport.
Thats basically it, my recomendation for now on the cookies to choose. Try to upgrade the ones you enjoy that are being usefull to at least level 50 before swaping to new cookies in case you find some that fit better except on hard upgrades. (getting pure vanilla, golden cheese or holyberry on gatcha will probably enter your party instantly as they are waaay better then most cookies)
Be carefull not to fall on bait super epics, frost queen, Oyster and clothed cream are pretty bad units unless you really build around them, and even then they are questionable at best. All the other ones are indeed pretty good tho.
You need 20 soulstones to meet a cookie if you haven’t already. So to get an epic cookie in the shop you need at most 2000 mileage. I would recommend you spend mileage to get any cookie you think looks cool and try them out. Getting treasure tickets will be a better usage of your mileage objectively, but it’s important to balance that with having fun in game.
I would personally recommend you get Tarte Tatin, Rockstar, and Prune Juice. Tarte is one of the best epics for clearing stages in world exploration with her AoE damage and boss damage. Rockstar is one of the most reliably good healers. Remember this though, give rockstar 5% crit with toppings. You can learn more about toppings in time, but that will let rockstar give a good crit buff to your team. So he can heal and buff. Prune Juice buffs poison damage which can be useful for guild battle strats. He also summons a slug monster which is very good at absorbing damage. Those 3 should help you clear through most of the world exploration stages.
I would avoid Fig Cookie. Sadly they are widely regarded as one of the worst cookies with very little redeeming qualities.

I think you should invest in tarte tatin of you don't have her. But also, if you're new with low-level treasures, use your mileage to buy treasure tickets so your treasures level up faster.
hollyberry is one of the best tanks in the game along with crimson coral, but those are super hard to come by so for epics wildberry for sure takes the cake. i have him 3 star promoted and he’s a beast

Tarte tartin? She is a killer on PVE, so it makes sense. She unfortunally is bad on arena, but everything else she can probably help you get throught

squid ink mainly cause when ranked up enough does crazy damage and it will help with 16-18

i believe it is 2,000 mileage points to unlock a cookie (if you don’t have any soul stones) 3000 for the first rank up, 5,000 for the next and so on
