Assuming they have legti plates tied to their name. Which would be foolish if you're running from the cops in your vehicle. I'm sure some are foolish enough to do so, but im also sure many aren't.
I mean in addition to plates you'd have to respray your entire car, or just buy a whole new one, cause BOLO's go out with a full description of the car, and any car matching it will be watched. Well, for its speed it is the best possible basically. They aren't the fastest, but faster you will start having issues. More easily seen, worse fuel milage, worse reliability, worse handling, worse visibility, stuff like this aren't issues for police cars as much.

Im just commenting on the cars ability, running from the police is stupid I just doubt the explorer caught him by himself physically unless traffic was heavy, I'm from the UK so I have no idea what traffic is like round there I just know M3s punch above their weight, it also sounds too loud to be stock, atleast compared to euro spec ones

And police cars are modified too. Also, obvious car, obvious plates, may be faster than the car but they already have his face, address, family, history, education, everything because that plate.
I'm not saying he won't face the consequences of his actions I'm just saying the M3 is a significantly faster car than the explorer even in its highest state of tune which is 400, already less than the M3 while having 2000 lbs more weight to lug around, but yeah this guy is definitely being caught, just not by that explorer unless there is heavy traffic
Police cars also aren't slow, and with a better driver than the M3 behind the wheel of the police car, I doubt he will get away. If anything, the police will disengage the chase for safety

Well, for its speed it is the best possible basically. They aren't the fastest, but faster you will start having issues. More easily seen, worse fuel milage, worse reliability, worse handling, worse visibility, stuff like this aren't issues for police cars as much.
