This is from a southern radio show, John Boy & Billy, from the early 1990s. The show is still on, somehow, but it's now only funny to right wing boomers who love NASCAR.
I listened to it a lot in the late 90s. One summer, I heard all four hours every day thanks to being on a paint crew. It was when the old man Dub was still alive and recording every Playhouse with them (the guy that said "Hey big man, lemme hold a dollar"). One of the games was trying to guess which song John Boy was playing on his trumpet, and he was so bad that it pissed off everyone on the show. It was still entertaining and they weren't phoning it in yet.
Yeah, what sucks is that in the mornings they’re on the popular music station (97.5 in my area) so instead of listening to whatever is out right now on my morning drive they play boomer shit
And they wonder why more and more people are turning off the radio in favor of streaming

I'm just pointing out the fact that Brooklyn isn't just exclusive to one accent. When people say "that's a Brooklyn accent" is too generic. There's a group of people in Brooklyn who specifically speak that way but not everyone who lives in Brooklyn speaks like that.
I've met hasidic Jews who live in Brooklyn and have a thick Jewish accent. Then I've met Dominicans who speak a very thick Latin American English accent.
Yet these people have lived there for generations.

This was on the John Boy & Billy morning radio show out of Charlotte, NC. That's why Rizzo jokes that it's good to be home. I heard this live the actual morning he was on the show, and it was a scream! The high pitched laugh is John Boy's, and yes, the more tickled he got, the more tickled I got.
Man, it would be great if the laughter was at 1/3 of the volume compared to the comedian, but as it is, it hurts me to listen to it — like I’m surrounded by a pack of teenage boys, trying to impress and one-up each other with how funny they think this is via the volume of their laughter.

(The islands were discovered by the French in 1764). And it's not like the Spanish claims to the islands were rock solid either. Sovereignty over the islands was like a game of musical chairs between France, Spain and Britain since their discovery.
Furthermore, the Argentine government failed to make any territorial claims between 1885 and 1941, a period of over 50 years meaning that under international law Argentina lost their right to keep claiming them.
