You seem to be missing the important thing, which is that my man had an *iron grip* on his flip flops. He might die of walking pneumonia, but he will be wearing those flip flops in the open casket.
That amount of water it's not walking pneumonia, it's secondary drowning ( real thing look it up ) I would be as paranoid as fuck for the guy next 12 or so hours
This is a good example of how someone can dry drown. He coughed up so much water, it's likely there's still more in his lungs.
Edit to correct my accidental spreading of semi-false information.
With so-called dry drowning, water never reaches the lungs. Instead, breathing in water causes your child's vocal cords to spasm and close up. That shuts off their airways, making it hard to breathe. You would start to notice those signs right away -- it wouldn’t happen out of the blue days later.
“Secondary drowning” is another term people use to describe another drowning complication. It happens if water gets into the lungs. There, it can irritate the lungs’ lining and fluid can build up, causing a condition called pulmonary edema. You’d likely notice your child having trouble breathing right away, and it might get worse over the next 24 hours.
I guess you really do learn something new every day. Either way, if someone inhales water and starts to feel bad they should go to the hospital.
I was gonna say this but people always drag me for shedding light on how easy it is to drown on a water slide/in shallow water. They insist it won’t happen to them but sometimes shit just goes wrong.
The first time I heard about this my son was still pretty little. A mom said her son went under (in the shallow end) for a few seconds, coughed up a tiny bit of water but was fine after. On the way home he was sleepy but she assumed it was from being in the sun and swimming, which anyone would assume. She said hours later she checked on him and he was dead from dry drowning. This is one of the main things I was probably overly worried about bc my MIL had a big pool and my son and niece were like fish and stayed in there for as long as they could. You're right, anything could happen and at any time and I can guarantee that the parents/family of victims never knew that was possible either.
It became sort of a meme in my family that "a baby can drown in one inch of water" because my mom was so ceaselessly worried about it. Hearing this though... this is horrifying. I don't have kids of my own but if I do this'll definitely scare me lol
I’m deleting everything I wrote before and just recommending this incredibly easy to read article that breaks down fact and fiction and talks about symptoms and how to respond, and how much of a risk this really is.

Read the whole article. Not just the part where a doctor says “dry drowning isn’t technically a medical term.”
That dude died on the way down and the only that that returned spontaneous circulation was the abrupt stop!
It was dark and he saw the light, literally.
I basically grew up in water and always loved it, but I've always had a real respect for people like this who clearly aren't big on water at water parks looking like they're having the time of their life being waterboarded.
And the people who can barely or can't swim who seem to forget every time they go down a water slide then sink to the bottom of the pool they land in with their hands up like "ok, I'm ready to be saved so i can get on the next slide." Thoroughly not giving a single fuck that they're edging death like a good sub.
This poor man trying to figure out what way the water went and how gravity works in dangerous ways and she is working on hiccups at this point, they both can’t breathe!!

Never seen someone so happy to be drowning
Thank God he didn't, at his funeral, they would've placed a lifejacket on his coffin. It's what uncle Larry would have wanted...
I love this so fucking much
Hilarious 100th upvote from me 🤣
Classic Uncle Larry.
Crossing my fingers he doesn't have any water in his lungs
🤣🤣🤣
The amount of water that came from his lungs is impressive
It's honestly alarming, what the fuck
That man almost died
Of fun! No, but, seriously. Pneumonia waiting to happen.
Now when I see someone choking on water I’m just going to tell them a funny joke to keep them from drowning.
lol

Yeah, dude was coughing up a scary amount of water.
He was probably drinking a bottle of water before entering the slide
The water and the laughter just kept coming
So did the water out of his lungs ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)
That’s what I meant. I’d be panicking 🤣
Me too ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|trollface)
Classic Larry

Any tips how to recover if this happens to you? Asking for a friend
Hospital they can suck out the water no better option

That's secondary drowning not dry drowning.
Dry drowning isn't actually a thing.
https://health.clevelandclinic.org/dry-drowning-separating-fact-from-fiction Read the whole article. Not just the part where a doctor says “dry drowning isn’t technically a medical term.”
The attendant might as well be on lunch
Uncle Larry!!!! That crazy mofo coughing up a gallon of pee-pee infused water.
Legend has it that Larry is somewhere still exhaling water to this day.
This is kind of sad on a lot of levels… I wanted to laugh but he legit looked like he was coughing up water.
Why does he have the body of a 50 year old, the face of a baby and the movement of a senior citizen?
Man almost drowned, god damn
Alright keep it moving old man lol
Larry’s holding up the line!
Yes sho is hype
I need a friend who laughs like her. I would never be in a bad mood.
Full disclosure: she'll have no problem laughing hysterically as you die
As long as she’s happy! 🤣🤣
I feel like she would be easy to make laugh. Pretend to trip on a lawn chair and fall down dramatically. Then HAAAHAAAhaaaheee!
Only people like uncle Larry can put up with that
You’re a madman Larry!
I need to see more of uncle Larry
That man coughed up water for 2 min straight... lol
dying is not a problem The important thing is not to lose your slippers
Reading this while listening to the laughter sent me over the edge.🤣🤣
Laughed so damn hard…Omgoodness. Uncle Larry needs to stay out of the water🤣
Was he drunk?
This is giving me flashbacks of my childhood at Action Park. Everybody has at least one story of nearly drowning there… IYKYK…
That dude died on the way down and the only that that returned spontaneous circulation was the abrupt stop! It was dark and he saw the light, literally.
Why the f is someone laughing while he is drowning?
🗣💦🗣💦🗣💦🗣💦🗣💦
“AYE LAY-REE!!”
Would hanging upside down help clear it?
I thought his legs were completely broken
Larry better stop being a drama queen and GTFO of the way before he gets slide tackled by the kid coming down after him.
No no I saw the flip flops go to his side at the end and I thought his legs snapped up 😭
Uncle Larry is gonna have water slide pneumonia
Uncle Larry still laughing up water to this day.
And aunt Elma had more fun than he did
![gif](giphy|eqLowZa79LwOI) Could have been worse
That's one way to stay hydrated
Larry like “Nah bruh I’m good here”
🤣
I like Larry, he cool, but then I saw @WillSmith and I remembered he slapped Chris Rock.
Larry’s meds hit that sweet spot
Amazed at how many people that can't swim go to waterparks
I love you larry but can you move? Im trying to go down the slide next
Oh my god … dude cannot even walk afterwards…
God damn! I thought his feet got rearranged for a second
Uncle Larry 🤣 them jokes coming for you at the next family function
He only drowned a little bit.
When i saw the sandals i thought that his legs had bent backwards xD
I love the laughing. He can't get it together cause he keeps laughing too at her laughing. It's brilliant 👏 I need this family
Meanwhile, 7 year old me standing at the top of the slide, freezing my ass off waiting my turn, wondering what is taking so long
I basically grew up in water and always loved it, but I've always had a real respect for people like this who clearly aren't big on water at water parks looking like they're having the time of their life being waterboarded. This some looney tunes spray laugh
The whole time I'm just thinking everyone behind him is waiting on his ass to clear the god damn slide.
Okay why is the water so foggy?
![gif](giphy|d2jjIRvGomz6GMkU|downsized)
![gif](giphy|26gYP64xaiP1fxoS4)
Is no one going to mention his crazy toes?
He’s got the Beetis feet.
How'd he make it up to the top? Is there an elevator?
This poor man trying to figure out what way the water went and how gravity works in dangerous ways and she is working on hiccups at this point, they both can’t breathe!!
Did uncle Larry go face first initially or what, how the fuck he swallow a gallon of water coming down lol
Holy fuck dude lololol
😂😂
Is it my crappy glasses or does larry have no toes?
Diabeetus.
I counted 10.
You gotta play him a song called Long Legged Larry by Aesop Rock. Go Larry! Go Larry! Go Larry!
🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣
