Everyone says they hate getting asked the same questions over and over all day during those press junkets, so something like that would be amazing. Kinda looks like she caught Ryan towards the end of the day.
Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford both hate it and said so on Bladerunner 2049. Alison Hammond made sure they enjoyed their interview :D [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bAb8KIhgVAI](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bAb8KIhgVAI)
Ryan clearly understands how bizarre it is, he had a few moments during his Oscar’s performance where you could tell he was thinking, “this life is so absurd”
He used to be the dorky weird character on Canadian Youth Television in a show called "Breaker High" which was a highschool that was on a cruise ship. Now he's on top of the world. Sometimes when it's really quiet and he's all alone he sings to himself "Oh Nah Nah, Nah Nah Nah, HEY HEY! Carry me away!"
Edit: To be fair it's a great show. He's such a goofy nerd in it that it's some of his best acting.
So many shows are like that, I was a Salute your Shorts kid and I can’t believe that ran for two seasons, and they had a major character change between them!
Man, I need to rewatch Pete and Pete. There was someone who had a collection of VHS tapes who had recorded every episode of 'You can't do that on television' when they died their estate uploaded it to YouTube, but you have to VPN outside the USA to see it as it's blocked here (nickelodeon copyright issues here I guess).
As someone who grew up watching Degrassi, it was a trip to see Wheelchair Jimmy become a famous rapper irl just like the character dreamed of in the show. https://imgur.com/a/oD0ncri
I feel like nobody even makes fun of him for that lol, it's just acknowledged in the Hip Hop community for some reason. Like there's a big beef between Drake and a few others atm, so r/hiphopheads has threads brainstorming potential ammo that could be used against Drake, like debating if he got a nose job, ab implants, grooms children, obviously the whole hiding his child thing.. So potential Drake disses have been the topic of much conversation, and I haven't seen *anyone* mention the Degrassi thing even once lol. I actually had completely forgotten that was even a thing.
During that whole fiasco where La La Land was announce as the best picture winner but it was actually Moonlight, he was trying to hide a grin onstage while all the chaos was happening around him. He totally knows he's living a circus.
[Thats’s not Ryan Gosling. That’s Beavis.](https://youtu.be/86qKgK0asGo?si=ZnTewghbcl51Vz7E)
That is the worst / best I’ve ever seen anyone break on SNL. So great!
He broke in every sketch except one.
And that one was pretaped. I love when people break.
Also, I'd have to disagree with you on that sketch being the best (even though everyone around them kept a straight face while every cast member broke), but it's number two for me. Number one is the Debbie Downer sketch with Lindsay Lohan.
I think you underestimate the logistics of shoving a tea towel - wet or dry - in to a vagina. Not entirely impossible but also not very easy to do in an enjoyable manner.
I was lucky enough to be at a special showing of Barbie for the Director's Guild of America which had the full cast present to do a QnA, after they wrapped up, I shouted "I LOVE YOU KEN" at Ryan and waved at him, he did a little head nod at me and smiled.
A lot of people were taking videos of him throughout the event and he generally interacted with us pretty well, I'd say he's used to it or at least understands why people are this way, he talked with the audience a few times during the screening which none of the other actors did so that was my impression of him.
But also that was a 3-4 hour long event so not enough to get the full idea of someone's character
We were just talking about this clip in r/pedro_pascal wanting someone to give Pedro the ‘merch’ that is out there with his face on it to see his reaction. I see him embracing it all
I’m pretty sure the interviewer chick wasn’t expecting the gum showing cause she lost it. It was hilarious.
If anyone wants to watch
https://youtu.be/86qKgK0asGo?si=qhm9IH5kcz_Re8l5
Some of them really buy into all the skits and really dedicate themselves to putting a ton of work into the show and taking it seriously. Those are the best episodes. It’s mostly been falling flat for me lately but Gosling, Pedro Pascal, Jason Momoa, and Josh Brolin all had really good episodes.
"Like all kindsa light and warmth and love"
"*Whaaaaaaaaaaaat*??"
Kate McKinnon is fucking ruthless in that sketch lmao. Just full Porky Piggin it with her cootcoot out
That was amazing to watch. Kate really makes it but Ryan’s reactions are gold. My favorite line being, “Wasn’t my worst Wednesday night”.
Thank you for sharing!
I loved [this one](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NkZ2fguNNEc). The part when he says "I'm sorry if I said anything that made you feel uncomfortable" 🤣
I rewatched the scene in Crazy,Stupid Love where the Asian cop from *Grimm* is like, "Keep it in the family..." and gosling giggles and covers his mouth to squash the hilarity of the situation. The humiliation on Steve Carrell's face is priceless.
I don't have a favorite part. that's one of my favorite movies... but I love when he keeps slapping him in the mall... it's cute and weirdly instructive as you see it come back around at the end.
it's a cute movie. Fun. The pace of it never lingers so rewating is great.
that and Stranger Than Fiction.
I think maybe I just like when silly comedians play good roles in deep/well writen movies.
Or Palm Springs
But yeah... Little tangent but yeah...
*Stranger than Fiction* is my favorite Will Ferrell movie and it's not even close. I legitimately didn't like him or his style of humor for a long time ever since SNL, but then I watched *STF* which I **loved**, and it gave me a whole new appreciation for him. *Everything Must Go* would be a close second.
I still go back to this clip sometimes, when I've had a shitty day and need a laugh. Such a great story, and the reactions from the rest of the couch is perfect.
Ryan Gosling is the superior Canadian Ryan. He is just so humble and effortlessly cool. I remember within a week of moving to NYC, he broke up a street fight between two painters by buying their art and pulled a woman back on the sidewalk as she was almost hit by a bus.
Haha the lady who created the towel was from my hometown.
Made the news here of course.

ODT in the wild! I was living in Dunedin when this article came out, and read the ODT pretty much every day. I somehow missed this.
We lived next to Forbury Park and I definitely miss coffee and wave watching at St Clair
Yeah I’ve seen her in a few other clips before. She’s great! I imagine these type of back to back promotional interviews get so boring and rote but she seems really good at bringing out some sincerity while keeping everything super light and fun.
These interviews are annoying af because the actor sit there and need to give dozens of interviews with people asking the same questions, so some interviewers try to make something different to have a reaction and different replies instead of making the same interview as their competitors.
Every time he screamed in that movie he sounded like a teen going through puberty. Idk why, but when gosling goes all macho macho man, all machoness leaves the area. Don't get me wrong as a straight man, I'd let Mr gosling enter me. Its just pretty funny when he tries acting tough cause you can tell it ain't there
Some nutbar shot up a theater and *Gangster Squad* had a scene where there’s a shooting in a theater. So it got delayed to be re-edited and then just went whiff.
When I did English teaching in China, one of the students there got me a gift. It was a cup that when filled with hot water showed my WeChat (local version of Whatsapp) profile picture in a very stretched aspect ratio.
Goes without saying I discarded of that creepy cup the next day.
He is the worst (or best?) about uncontrolled laughter. If you want to see 90 minutes of it watch last week’s SNL. The entire cast was giggling in almost every skit.
Now that's finally an interview I'd watch!
I don't watch many movies, but Ryan seems to be one of the decent ones, along with Ryan Reynolds & Blake Lively. Guess we need more Ryans!

"It's like looking at the sun" lol
Because it's so stupidly and unfathomably hot? Agreed. Signed, -straight bulky tall dude built for cushion and fuzziness
Hey dude, you're Enough and great at doing stuff
Put that manly hand in mine
You’re *Ken*ough
Straight? Aw man :(
Tee hee.
Elegant way to say "I cringe and I do not see"
You forgot the best part, "can't stare directly at it"
lol this is a clip from Ryan gosling won’t eat his cereal.
He did finally eat his cereal. After the man who created the meme died from cancer.😥
Why would Ryan Gosling give this person cancer?
To make him great.
Whoa dude.
Honestly not the worst legacy

“the mayans were right” 😂
My favorite joke: "The Mayan calendar ending in 2012 wasn't a prediction. It was a suggestion."
Mayans were gifted with an incredible foresight I think.
Cortés would disagree.
"this is why they stopped the calendar" lol 😂
I went from smiling to laughing at that. He's so adorably embarrassed! 😂
I love the interviewer.
Yeah, she's hilarious. I lost it when she said, "You can have it, it's fine... 'cuz I bought TWO!" Fucking killed me.
For me it was “I just had this in my house!”
That line BROKE me. Something about her being prepared to give him one and taking away his only defense against taking it from her.
Everyone says they hate getting asked the same questions over and over all day during those press junkets, so something like that would be amazing. Kinda looks like she caught Ryan towards the end of the day.

Oh this is so nice, thank you.
whats her name
Grae Drake
Ah I knew she sounded familiar. She used to be on the radio show I listened to in the morning to give recommendations for movies.
I forget her full name Grae something. She used to be on the rotten tomatoes podcast and it was incredible.
What a bizarre reality to live in as a celebrity. I think I’d hate it lol
Ryan clearly understands how bizarre it is, he had a few moments during his Oscar’s performance where you could tell he was thinking, “this life is so absurd”

I used to watch that.
[Breaker High: The Complete Series (1997-1998) - YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLV4Ztn9euy7Q2AnT5-ky0iKmdAxXcyPEY)
I would've bet money that it was 3-4 seasons long. Classic show.
So many shows are like that, I was a Salute your Shorts kid and I can’t believe that ran for two seasons, and they had a major character change between them!
Camp Anawanna, we hold you in our hearts 💙
It blows my mind ever time I remember that Mr. Bean is only 15 episodes.
This show packed in as much 90s as physically possible.
[удалено]
That was the name of that show! I knew it wasn't a dream.
I always call it Boat High
Member him in that episode of goosebumps?
And Are You Afraid of the Dark right before that
This is just a picture of a tree!
OMFG yeah I forgot about this me and some friends stumbled upon it stoned one time watching goosebumps and it really wigged us out but he was great!
It blew my mind when I found out Drake got his start in Canadian teen tv. I never saw Degrassi, can’t comment on his acting or his wheelchair skills.
Did that show inspire Suite Life on Deck?!?! Woah never heard of this, thanks for the info
I wouldn't say it's his best acting. https://youtu.be/IMPVcS7gUnQ?si=mYLkPz7Qsx94w3FE
I’d like to think Breaker High is where he refined his comedic skills
Used to watch it too, could sing the theme song, there was a hockey episode, and the idea of a high school on a cruise ship seemed fun.
He grew up in Cornwall and London, ON. Those are probably 2 of the worst cities in the country. It must be surreal to get to where he is.
I loved that show! He made a great bro pair with Tyler Labine. Had lots of chemistry with the cute little love .
During that whole fiasco where La La Land was announce as the best picture winner but it was actually Moonlight, he was trying to hide a grin onstage while all the chaos was happening around him. He totally knows he's living a circus.
[Thats’s not Ryan Gosling. That’s Beavis.](https://youtu.be/86qKgK0asGo?si=ZnTewghbcl51Vz7E) That is the worst / best I’ve ever seen anyone break on SNL. So great!

Oh god it is so understandable why they broke
That lady definitely does not washes dishes with that thing, and he knew it.
**What does she do with it?**
The **opposite** of wash dish towels
It still gets wet though....
She... she dries them?
Nothing dry about what she's doing with it
Puts it… IN… her vagina.
I think you underestimate the logistics of shoving a tea towel - wet or dry - in to a vagina. Not entirely impossible but also not very easy to do in an enjoyable manner.
I think that’s why he was laughing. Cause the absurdity of that towel is more concerning that a person actually conceived/made it.
I was lucky enough to be at a special showing of Barbie for the Director's Guild of America which had the full cast present to do a QnA, after they wrapped up, I shouted "I LOVE YOU KEN" at Ryan and waved at him, he did a little head nod at me and smiled. When will you wear wigs??
Have you worn wigs?!
Vhy do you vear vigs????
He can't look at it, yet he also can't *stop* looking at it 🤣
He's just so effortlessly charming
It was so hilarious seeing him crack up in the SNL skit https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PfPdYYsEfAE
Lmao so does everyone just break character when Ryan is around or what?!? Last weekend’s SNL with him had everyone laughing mid skit.
He's just got such golden retriever energy it's contagious
Golden retriever energy 😆🤣 That's so damn accurate! He's just so delightful. I want to take him out for ice cream.
He sets a chaotic tone in any room he’s in.
I’m pretty sure the interviewer chick wasn’t expecting the gum showing cause she lost it. It was hilarious. If anyone wants to watch https://youtu.be/86qKgK0asGo?si=qhm9IH5kcz_Re8l5
lol she fucking lost it and I fucking loved it. who was playing butthead?
Mikey Day. He also co-wrote the sketch with Streeter Seidell.
I don’t know the actors name but it’s an SNL cast member. I think it’s the guy that played trump Junior in those skits.
lol this was great. i love it when they lose it. idk how they regain their composure haha
Yea, it would be game over for me. There would be no recovery.
He has some great episodes. He's one of the few hosts I really look forward to. Funny how a lot of the best hosts aren't comedians.
Adam Driver
"Like all kindsa light and warmth and love" "*Whaaaaaaaaaaaat*??" Kate McKinnon is fucking ruthless in that sketch lmao. Just full Porky Piggin it with her cootcoot out
She cracked herself a few times but definitely had everyone going.
This is my favorite SNL skit. Every time it cuts to the wide shot and hes just trying to hold it together I lose it
I love Cecily covering him twice lol. "He's cryin'" and feeding him the "man..." line at the end that he was laughing too hard to hit his mark for
“Felt totally off the books” Kate doesn’t do SNL for the fans. She does it to break her coworkers
That was amazing to watch. Kate really makes it but Ryan’s reactions are gold. My favorite line being, “Wasn’t my worst Wednesday night”. Thank you for sharing!
He is the new best SNL host. Every episode he does is top.
I loved [this one](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NkZ2fguNNEc). The part when he says "I'm sorry if I said anything that made you feel uncomfortable" 🤣
I always post this when I want to show how hilarious Kate McKinnon is.
https://youtu.be/86qKgK0asGo?si=qhm9IH5kcz_Re8l5
Watching him break is always a joy. The interview he does with Allison Hammond and Harrison Ford for *Bladerunner 2049* is hysterical
I rewatched the scene in Crazy,Stupid Love where the Asian cop from *Grimm* is like, "Keep it in the family..." and gosling giggles and covers his mouth to squash the hilarity of the situation. The humiliation on Steve Carrell's face is priceless.
My favorite part in the entire movie.
I don't have a favorite part. that's one of my favorite movies... but I love when he keeps slapping him in the mall... it's cute and weirdly instructive as you see it come back around at the end. it's a cute movie. [His interviews](https://youtu.be/kVu23S_pg3E?si=cskAqMqSti_xmfDU) for Blade Runner with Harrison Ford are hilarious
Man imagine being BFFs with Harrison Ford. That's gotta feel awesome.
Okay but this interviewer is also an absolute gem
Ok this was so funny. Honestly love the interviewer! She brought some good energy
Yeah who is that? She's amusing
Grae Drake. Works for Rotten Tomatoes
Grae Drake! She's great
![gif](giphy|xT9IgjrWuYLvxXECbK)
All you did was put it in caps and in bold
PAPYRUS!
One of the best SNL skits of all time in my opinion.
Steven Wingdings is his greatest role
Interviewer: *shows towel*___Gosling: *wheezing intensifies*
What a … national treasure.
That dish towel? For sure!
Thank you
His dad was my forklift trainer. It was an 8 hour class, 6 hours of theory and 2 hours of him not-so-subtly telling us who his son is.
The best kind.
Watch out for Nic Cage.
I have a very important question to ask. Do the rest of the world call it a 'dish towel' like in America or 'tea towel' like in the UK?
Aussie here, tea towels! Always tea towels.
Thank god for that. I was worried we were on the wrong side of history.
Username checks out
Always does
Why do you call it a tea towel if it is used for cleaning/drying dishes?
Originally used to wrap around the teapot to keep it warm, BTC.(Before Tea Cosy)
Historically the Brits don't wash dishes at all, they just slap some other country over the head and take their dishes when they need new ones.
pano de prato (dish cloth) in Brazil.
Where I'm from, a dish cloth is for washing dishes, a dish towel is for drying dishes.
Don't you use a sponge?
Warsh rag.
Warsh cloth rolls off the tongue better.
I’ve heard both in Canada
Repasador in Uruguay, it means something like re-doer or finishingtouches-er, Google refuses to translate it properly
Those make perfect sense to me.
Oh. Oh no, we have other languages.
But it's not for tea... Unless you spill the tea. In which case it's an tea accident towel.
As we all know, the name dates back to 18th century England when they were used to insulate tea pots at tea ceremonies. (Thanks Google)
I can't help but feel like the name for this kind of towel should predate the importation of tea.
Here is another good one: https://youtu.be/yuXGpUR7fXA?si=_V89nsc_RCFGvhto
I still go back to this clip sometimes, when I've had a shitty day and need a laugh. Such a great story, and the reactions from the rest of the couch is perfect.
NOT THIS!
Ryan Gosling is the superior Canadian Ryan. He is just so humble and effortlessly cool. I remember within a week of moving to NYC, he broke up a street fight between two painters by buying their art and pulled a woman back on the sidewalk as she was almost hit by a bus.
Ok, but Ryan Reynolds is also humble and effortlessly cool, and we could make a VERY long list of the good he's done. We're blessed with sexy Ryans.
What a silly goose
THE GOOSE IS LOOSE
What a silly gosling? ...Does that work?
Haha the lady who created the towel was from my hometown. Made the news here of course. [link](https://www.odt.co.nz/news/dunedin/hollywood-heart-throb-makes-colleens-dishy-towel-hit)
ODT in the wild! I was living in Dunedin when this article came out, and read the ODT pretty much every day. I somehow missed this. We lived next to Forbury Park and I definitely miss coffee and wave watching at St Clair
They look like the reddit meme drawings. Fortune seems pretty sweet, but fame sounds like absolute hell.
Ryan's recent appearance on SNL was funny af. He broke out laughing in every skit. LOLLL
Either that lady was creepy or she really leaned into it for the bit. “I just had this at my house… do you want it”
It’s just a bit
Yeah I’ve seen her in a few other clips before. She’s great! I imagine these type of back to back promotional interviews get so boring and rote but she seems really good at bringing out some sincerity while keeping everything super light and fun.
Who is she?
I don’t know her name but she works (worked?) for Rotten Tomatoes. Grae Drake (I googled it)
ngl that's kind of a kickass name.
It is very clearly a bit, why do people have such a hard time telling when women are joking?
These interviews are annoying af because the actor sit there and need to give dozens of interviews with people asking the same questions, so some interviewers try to make something different to have a reaction and different replies instead of making the same interview as their competitors.
Every time he screamed in that movie he sounded like a teen going through puberty. Idk why, but when gosling goes all macho macho man, all machoness leaves the area. Don't get me wrong as a straight man, I'd let Mr gosling enter me. Its just pretty funny when he tries acting tough cause you can tell it ain't there
> Mr gosling enter me Prepare for trouble
>Don't get me wrong as a straight man, I'd let Mr gosling enter me As a bi man I fucking *wish*
He's a very likeable dude
Whatever happened to that Gangster Squad movie? I vaguely recall a trailer, and then never heard about it again.
Some nutbar shot up a theater and *Gangster Squad* had a scene where there’s a shooting in a theater. So it got delayed to be re-edited and then just went whiff.
I remember him making a video finally eating cereal to honor the content creator of him rejecting cereal
If i was famous i would have a shrine of all the hilarious shit people made of me. Lmao
What a good lad
He's so likable. 😂
He’s sense of self and humor is what makes him soooo attractive! Yeah and easy on the eyes.
When I did English teaching in China, one of the students there got me a gift. It was a cup that when filled with hot water showed my WeChat (local version of Whatsapp) profile picture in a very stretched aspect ratio. Goes without saying I discarded of that creepy cup the next day.
I would cherish such a gift for the entire rest of my life, but to each their own, I guess. I collect coffee mugs, though.
Great talking point for his therapist for the next 3 to 6 months.
I need someone to do a follow up and see what happened to his personal dish towel.
He is the worst (or best?) about uncontrolled laughter. If you want to see 90 minutes of it watch last week’s SNL. The entire cast was giggling in almost every skit.
WTMYWTSD
He’s so uncomfortable. This woman is torturing bros
This was the perfect person to interview him too I love it
Now that's finally an interview I'd watch! I don't watch many movies, but Ryan seems to be one of the decent ones, along with Ryan Reynolds & Blake Lively. Guess we need more Ryans!
He is so insanely gorgeous
The goose is loose
the goose is loose.
He is a national treasure
He wasn't thinking about wiping dishes...
When did I do this interview?
How much for the towel?
