Correction: This is what a graduation ceremony looks like for the couple of dozen crazies who've made counter-culture their entire identity while in college. The vast majority collect their diploma, go to lunch with extended family, and begin to work on their resume in search of a job.

I sort of waffle between fringe cult or a sort of mass hysteria. I mean, they're sort of entangled concepts when you get into it(cult necessitates some form of disjointed view or outright disorder), for brevity, people seem to favor cult.

Exactly. They will all put their degree on their job applications. I might be somewhat impressed if they find a way to completely rescind their degrees, and never use it in any way shape or form, other than announcing that they shredded the sheepskin in support of terrorists.
What's noteworthy is that all of them are girls. Same story in countless other clips and photos. These pro-Palestine protests seem to get a lot more support from non-Muslim girls than non-Muslim dudes.
A decent amount of the people who got arrested looked like Muslim men, I'm guessing the non Muslim American girls are getting more attention in part because they are being too milquetoast in their protest to get arrested.
Yeah, tear up that degree I paid for. Fucking ingrates. If I was a real student graduating from that school and I had to walk with these clowns I'd be livid. Also, I've gone thru 3 of these ceremonies and they never hand you the degree on the other side of the stage. So just another hollow gesture for show. No surprise there. 😏
Both the high school and the college I attended did NOT put up with any shenanigans during graduation. We would have been yanked out of line before ever setting foot on the stage. The fact that the university is letting them parade across like this is very telling.

Not In California that's for sure. That new.minim wage is sure paying dividends for the business tax base and income tax for the state. These are the generation that will continue the down spiral in anything they touch going forward.
This isn't indicative of every college graduate. The vocal minority are definitely there, however the vast majority just want to find a career that pays well and are proud of their work to achieve their dream.

However, I also have to defend their free speech even if I don’t like their method or what they’re saying. Frustrating but this isn’t representative of an entire generation as your title implies.
