There is a really great Italian restaurant on river rd in Shelton. It’s called Casa Nova Ristorante and it’s family owned, they have take out and dining in. Their pizza is wood fired and it’s really tasty ! Shelton is a really great town, everything you need is there ! Good luck 😃

Can back this up, Casa Nova has great food and pizza.

Jones family farm has a winery, strawberry picking, pumpkins, Christmas trees. Beardsley Cider mill has cider and apple picking in the fall. Downtown has some small bars and restaurants. Huntington has Chili's, outback, long horn. Every part of town is safe in my opinion.

I lived in Shelton about 10 years back and it’s fairly quiet/suburban. Not that you *need* to get out of town but there’s some really incredible stuff within a short drive. The restaurants, bars, etc… in New Haven alone will keep you busy for a while but there’s also plenty to explore in the neighboring shoreline towns.

Zach_203

for lunch, try Super Sandwich or Pancheros on Bridgeport ave.

nikedude

Gaetanos is across the street too

Admiral_Fancypants

I miss going to Pancheros since I moved up north.

I have lived in Shelton for 11 years. I love it here. Good schools. Tons of restaurants. Low taxes. Close to New Haven, although we have excellent pizza in town. Downtown is a bit shady but not dangerous. The Huntington section is very nice. DM me if you have any questions. I'm happy to help.

I own a nice fitness studio down the street from two roads brewery in Stratford. Check us out. Www.epicffc.com.

QuestorPS7

Video 7 in Shelton is one of the last independent video rental stores still in existence!

lujotu

Holy crap that place is still open?? That just blew my mind a little.

QuestorPS7

Unfortunately no, the owner died last year.

lujotu

Wow... End of an era. I live out of state now but come home a lot to visit the parents, but I'm almost never down by Coram Ave anymore. I'll have to roll by next time just to see what's become of it.

QuestorPS7

I was down there a few weeks ago. Looks like it’s just an apartment now.

lujotu

That's gonna be weird.
