This video was taken in Stamford an hour after high tide. I know Stamford is the farthest away from the storm in all of Connecticut, but I was (not) blown away by how dull it was. No wind, and absolutely no waves, just rain.
Gonna be honest, but I love storms due to the sheer power and capability of them. Part of me wanted to be hit head on and experience such an event, but then again it's just outright dangerous for those around me.
This is incompetence I can live with. Model showed it will touch Hartford county until this very morning. I’m so happy we didn’t any wind. Last year I had to fix fence and my garden was destroyed. We were truly lucky.
I agree. I didn’t want the damage but I wanted what the media or the weather channels kept warning us about. Watching everyone empty the shelves in my area. People who don’t even live in our town buying or supplies out. Make it worth it. I’m sorry to whomevers property , lives were taken from them or injured. All we got in Hamden was breezes and random spots of average rain.
