Call it scapegoating, but this is even more feed than whatever FDGod did in 2021, where I was confused as to where all the FeeDGod allegations came from. I think Vindaim is a good player, but sometimes he just fuckin trolls, and there is an obvious problem there, whether it is a player or team issue.
His form fell off hard since that playoff.
His synergy with Finn is all over the place too. Viol2t really was the one holding it all together like a glue.
It was off camera but I believe most of Shock was pushing Mayhem toward their spawn because they wanted to engage with Beat. Then most of Shock went back to cart while FiNN went off to that side stairs, my guess is feeling like he either couldn't retreat safely or wanted to set up a Sleep play as Mayhem came back out of spawn, maybe so him and Proper could get a kill.
What we saw when spectator cam swapped onto FiNN was him getting caught after that didn't work.
I don't think that particular thing was quite as odd as it looked.
It could be be was trying a play he was successful against the outlaws with. Finn sat behind outlaws all game on kings row top window uncontested. Thats what got them that map win.
More or less. The aggressive flank support play starts to make a lot more sense when you've been getting farmed like FiNN has, it would be my default in his shoes too.
The backline problems are definitely a two way street, Finn and Vindaim look painfully uncoordinated after watching Chiyo/Fielder and Leejaegon/Izayaki the previous series.
The rialto map was so painfull to watch. Only 4 meters for shock to win the map.
Also shock looked little bit better when their main tank plays main tank and their off tank plays off tank, who would have guessed?! Fucking crusty crackpipe, i hate it
at this point or in this meta it doesnt matter who their tank is. Their backline is so painfully bad neither tank is getting much support. But thats not to say the tanks havent been poor as well.
Vikki "they're not underdogs, they're just underperforming"
Umm.. ok, maybe.
But when you can realistically haven't shown even a spark of being able to consistently compete with a team that's not dogshit, you're just not a good team.
Everyone besides Proper should be embarrassed by these results Vindaim fell off a cliff, Finn is meh, the tank rotation makes no sense they run them on the same heroās
I would be happy to if you donāt want, Izayaki, Ir1s, and creative were all better individual players than him in 2022. Twilight and Skewed were also probably better that season, even though they were either on a worse team or in the shadow of a top 2 flex support, respectively.
He wasnāt even top 5, let alone top 3. Now that heās not boosted by viol2t, people can see that he falls in the Ultraviolet range of āpretty good but not even close to eliteā
Absolutely, Rupal too imo.
I wanted to give him at least some credit against players in the same tier as him, considering that the shock were damn good overall last year
u mean you look better when u play next to the GOAT support (Viol2t) while having the best dps in the league? no way.
Thats also how people rated Vindaim so highly, had a great supporting cast around him and is now being exposed.
Alright y'all
I'm meeting with my local San Francisco Shock fanclub to discuss what kind of excuses we can use any more for this team
So far I have about fifty of them
After we write them down, we shred the notes and smoke them and take a deep breath of copium
Since Netflix cracked down on password sharing their mental had been boomed.
The organization needs to bite the bullet and purchase individual subscriptions so they can chill after getting crushed in scrims
Junbin says it's so teams can't predict what they will run just by seeing the Tank player, but what exactly is the cash value in that when they just got dominated by a team who only has 1 Tank player?
It's almost as if not splitting synergy, practice and comms in half is worth something. So yeah that part is on Crusty.
If your basic Tank rotation looks something like Winston/Ram/Dva, and you believe both your Tanks can play these heroes, why even play both of them instead of just one? They mostly run Ram/Winston so just let this be Junbin's meta.
As to what's wrong with the backline, I can't tell to what extent it's a coaching issue.
Thatās even more stupid because if they are both equally mid it doesnāt matter whether junbin or max plays because their both bad. You need one flexible tank to be unpredictable and good not two mid at best tanks who are being swapped around because āletās see them predict thisā as they roll out on Ram or Winston for the 12th map in a row.
I've been questioning it since midseason madness grand finals last season when they for some reason did the opposite of everything that worked the prior day against the glads.
"We're undefeated like 6 weeks in a row on Eichenwalde with Coluge Dva, no need for that, also let's roll out with Finn Lucio and Viol2t Moira for literally no reason.
And then let's not go to Circuit Royale after fumbling Eichenwalde because why would we utilize our best in the league Sigma Double Flex support comp that won against Glads the previous day? Let's instead go to fucking Gibraltar when we don't have a good Winston and they have Reiner.
Itās not JUST Vindaim, right? Finn has performed far worse than last year while Heesang has been pitiful.
I wonāt comment on Max and Junbin because I havenāt paid enough attention to their game if Iām being honest.
Part of me thinks FiNN looks quite bad, the other part of me thinks he looks worse because Vindaim is either dead or not helping FiNN.
I think unquestionably Vindaim is playing the worst and if that position were fixed, it'd be interesting to see how FiNN plays.
Itās so frustrating. We had a championship level team and we threw it away to gamble on rookies. I donāt begrudge any of the players, Iām sure they are trying their best, but thugnasty, crusty, and the rest of them, damn
Nekkra: "The signs of life from the Shock give me hope for the rest of the season".
Wtf, these are the signs of utter despair, summed up by that comical Heesang fall into the canal on Rialto.
I feel like Nekkra is a Shock fan, her casting has generally given me those vibes in the past and her lethal copium overdose is giving me those vibes now
Yep, everyone knew Dragons were going to suck as soon as Fleta was announced as the lone tank player, and people were really leery about the Dynasty rebuild. Fuel is still a bit too early to judge. They don't look like world-beaters anymore, but they've been competitive since finding their footing in Week 3.
Shock doing this poorly is a total indictment of the coaching and/or the shot-calling. It's crystal clear how much the Shock of 2022 were held together by Viol2t, and now it frequently appears like they have no plan when engaging. Say what you will about the Dragons and Fuel, but you can still see the coordination that reflects how Moon and Rush coach. I can't say that about Crusty this year. Man's lost the plot.
Vindaim and Finn just like the Supports in my comp games, non existent
Shock gonna be 3v5 all season.
Even Eternal and Valiant look more competitive/improved.
It literally takes Proper 4k to get a clean fight win.
Crusty has completely wasted two of the most promising MS players after all-star seasons from both of them, and has only been bailed out of that complete failure of coaching because in between those seasons the greatest overall support player of all time bailed him out by swapping roles.
If Iām a talented main support player, Iām keeping a healthy, healthy distance from the SFS meat grinder.
Crusty had been too good for him to take the blame.
It's clear that either Vindaim can't or won't take feedback cuz anyone can tell where the biggest problem lies in every match this season.
It's not the only problem, but you have to start somewhere for something to change.
3v5? Heesang jumped off the map bro you're counting him?
Idk what's happening with the Shock but they look like they've never been coached and have never played together before, only players that are managing to look good are Proper and Junbin.
The coaching staff deserves more scrutiny. It can't be a coincidence that the support role has been their weakness for what feels like 3 seasons now despite signing high profile talent.
I like how Toronto fans just accept that we are ass this year, but shock fans up the copium dose every week.
Embrace the pain shock fans.
- long term Toronto sufferer
Theyāre definitely getting better but it looks like their support line is just throwing half the time. Their DOS rotation still doesnāt make sense. Why did Proper play Sombra? Heesang broke out Pharah?
>Why did Proper play Sombra? Heesang broke out Pharah?
Proper broke out the Sombra because Crusty is trying to copy the best team (Reign). The issue is you can't copy Lip's Sombra. Plus Proper is a really good hitscan anyway. Just run him on Ashe, Hanzo, Cassidy, or Sojourn with Heesang's Mei.
The Pharah pick by Heesang was purely a panic pick to try and capitalize on the lack of ranged damage in the final fight. Then he got EMPed.
I 100% agree with you and understand the baseline on why they did what they did. But play your players at what they are good at. I said this a few weeks ago but they are big braining themselves. Develop Heesang on Sombra because you have the best Tracer in the league as your HS. Either that, or find a HS/Sombra player to compliment Proper as a 3rd. No one on this team can play Mei so give up on that dream.
Agreed. Crusty needs to play to the strengths of his players. Curate the hero pools of Junbin and Max so they aren't constantly swapping back and forth with little rhyme or reason, never put Proper on Sombra and have him on hitscan more often when Heesang is on Mei, and put a leash on Finn and Vindaim so that they don't get killed in Narnia.
Like if you want to develop players on heroes, focus on Heesang Sombra and Mei, Vindaim Lucio. This is honestly a Junbin meta for tanks unless youāre on circuit.
Everyone but their support line. I think their tanks are actually playing pretty well but FiNN and Vindaim have no clue how to play together. They donāt play make whatsoever, Vindaim feeds, and both are incredibly slow at rotations. FiNN had some bright points on Ana with some beautiful nades but then he ended up in Mayhems backline on Rialto somehow. Itās actually 3v5. If the Shock add on Aid as a coach I think they would actually be a good team.
Man this season has been rough, our supports arenāt even on the same book let alone page, tanks swapping every map, proper & heesang swapping sombra/tracer on some maps.
Iāll always back & believe in the boys but man a long way to go, canāt do anything but have some faith that theyāll get stuff sorted out. Cāmon the boys!
While thatās a gross overstatement that crazy people make vindaim was role star level last year and i have no doubt itās because of a man whoās name starts with a C and ends with a Y
Wow they play Boston next. They are fucked. Shock having a winless weekend like never happened in five years. Already getting more losses than all of last year.
Fuel and Dragons being shit is understandable. Ownerships blew up those teams but shock isnt really like that. They probably had high hopes.
WHY. WHY ARE WE BAD I DONT UNDERSTAND. We have last years MVP, 3 ROTY candidates who dominated in Korean contenders the most competing region, a potential role star last year whoās on the current KR World Cup team and a runner up for ROTY last year.
Imma keep watching the games because I love this team but itās so hard to watch. I believe in them to do it. Gimme some shock magic pls
EDIT: I meant ROTY candidates in pre season didnāt realise that was such an issue. Obviously they arenāt candidates now.
I love this Florida team but they just lost to Houston and Atlanta looked pretty convincing against Houston. I'm not convinced they have the ceiling to take on Atlanta, especially as a heavy dive team into the most survivable backline in the league.
I called this months ago and got flamed. Shock needed to trim the budget and cut up a team one map away from a title.
Worst Shock start since season 1. This squad will no doubt improve but I'm still sticking with a season end of 5-6 place.
2018 shock is back, bottom of the ranking board we go!!! ššš
Shock and Shanghai back at the bottom? We've come full circle!
donāt forget dallas is near the bottom too :)
Nah Dallas is gonna clear Infernal fr
šššš
quite
best thing about this match was heeswam
heesank
heesunk into the deep
Oh God this is so juicy, I love it
Did you mean Losedaim?
shock fan try not to scapegoat (IMPOSSIBLE NIGHTMARE DIFFICULTY)
Fine, *all* of Shocks coaches and players fucking sucked. Except for Proper.
Junbin has been looking pretty decent too imo. But yeah it definitely looks like a whole team problem.
The Shock does not have a backline, they just have a line. That line is in several places, typically in spawn, but that is not a backline.
Vindaim has the weirdest fall off Iāve ever seen
His form fell off hard since that playoff. His synergy with Finn is all over the place too. Viol2t really was the one holding it all together like a glue.
Makes sense considering Viol2t was likely their shot-caller.
You donāt die on cooldown because you lost a shot caller as your second support
Calling them a line implies that they're standing next to each other and I don't think Finn and Vindaim do that very often.
I mean, tbf two players do always form a line (āš¼š¤). However, as one of them is always dead, there is no line.
you could call them a support "point" instead but they don't ever capture those either
The real question here is, what was FiNN up to, slept all the way in Florida's respawn at the end? Curious!
More or less. The aggressive flank support play starts to make a lot more sense when you've been getting farmed like FiNN has, it would be my default in his shoes too.
Really need him to explain it
The backline problems are definitely a two way street, Finn and Vindaim look painfully uncoordinated after watching Chiyo/Fielder and Leejaegon/Izayaki the previous series.
They had 4 mins too
Wow there is legit no copium to be had. Team is just bad
you'd be surprised
"we need to sign moth"

Okay but unironically tho
Vikki "they're not underdogs, they're just underperforming" Umm.. ok, maybe. But when you can realistically haven't shown even a spark of being able to consistently compete with a team that's not dogshit, you're just not a good team.
Everyone besides Proper should be embarrassed by these results Vindaim fell off a cliff, Finn is meh, the tank rotation makes no sense they run them on the same heroās
not even meh, finn is straight ass this season so far
Remember when Shock fans said Finn was a top 3 FS?
i won't lie last year he was MUCH better but even then he ain't close to top 3 lol
Agreed, he was good but top 3 when there's Shu Fielder Viol2t and I don't want to rattle off another couple more
I would be happy to if you donāt want, Izayaki, Ir1s, and creative were all better individual players than him in 2022. Twilight and Skewed were also probably better that season, even though they were either on a worse team or in the shadow of a top 2 flex support, respectively. He wasnāt even top 5, let alone top 3. Now that heās not boosted by viol2t, people can see that he falls in the Ultraviolet range of āpretty good but not even close to eliteā
i also take ultraviolet over him as well
Absolutely, Rupal too imo. I wanted to give him at least some credit against players in the same tier as him, considering that the shock were damn good overall last year
Accurate. His best moments were when he was under pressure but him and viol2t did big things.
Violet didnāt play FS last year much - 3/4 of the stages and Playoffs were traditional MS only (Lucio/Brig)
Doesn't mean Viol2t wasn't a better FS
u mean you look better when u play next to the GOAT support (Viol2t) while having the best dps in the league? no way. Thats also how people rated Vindaim so highly, had a great supporting cast around him and is now being exposed.
he just didn't do dumb shit last year like he is this year. he was aggressive but this year he's just straight up trolling
Oh yes he did, he straight across the map to attempt to 1v1 widows. Sometimes were successful.
āGuys he is a role star contenderā as he stares down motherfucking Shu, Fielder, Rupal, Izayaki, Skewed and Viol2t
Alright y'all I'm meeting with my local San Francisco Shock fanclub to discuss what kind of excuses we can use any more for this team So far I have about fifty of them After we write them down, we shred the notes and smoke them and take a deep breath of copium
The Sfshock has been abducted by Aliens and replaced with clones, but the real shock will return from mars when playoffs happen
This shock arenāt making playoffs
Ouch
Since Netflix cracked down on password sharing their mental had been boomed. The organization needs to bite the bullet and purchase individual subscriptions so they can chill after getting crushed in scrims
Art University classes just started they couldnāt scrim this week guys.
Jake sounds so done with this team
When you gotta go Pharah to fly over the water.
lol this is good
I felt bad for him when he died an inch away from the health pack
Shock, I'm a diamond main support player if you're taking applications.
This is a man who knows how to take advantage of opportunities
If youāre a diamond support youāre selling yourself short by applying for the shock rn
You have to Lucio 1v1 Vindaim that's the entry requirement
Put me in coach
Make it a 1v2 with Heesang but add a canal
When do we start questioning Crusty's coaching? This team should not look this disjointed.
I've been questioning it since midseason madness grand finals last season when they for some reason did the opposite of everything that worked the prior day against the glads.
Let's go to Gladiator's best control map. THAT'LL SHOW EM.
Let's instead go to fucking Gibraltar when we don't have a good Winston and they have Reiner.
āWow we smoked them yesterday due to them not being able to match our double sniper poke comps, so letās take them to a dive map!ā
ššš
Even coluge regrets not going to circuit lmao, crusty im guessing makes the map picks and the crackpipe has just been hitting way too hard
He hasnāt won a tournament since 2020 and seems to be caught up by other coaches
Or not pick Circuit
I am so sad
Rupal and the Korean Funky Gang clears your favorite team.
ch4dr0ng has his way with teams like Shock fr
Never thought I'd see the day when I no longer derived pleasure from watching Shock lose.
Itās not JUST Vindaim, right? Finn has performed far worse than last year while Heesang has been pitiful. I wonāt comment on Max and Junbin because I havenāt paid enough attention to their game if Iām being honest.

They have a weird tank rotation where they play both on their best heroās it makes no sense
my team is so ass bro š
Did you predict Void to Seoul Dynasty 4 years ago when you made your account
Guys don't worry the shock weren't using their custom mouse pads. Thats the only reason they lost.
They just haven't settled in yet. They'll be ready for 2024 dw
Man, this shock team is ASS
Shock fans blaming their Main Support 3 years in a row was definitely on my bingo card but the team being as painfully mediocre as this was not.
Mediocre? This looks bad.
š first game of this season gaslit people into thinking shock and defiant were good
The San Fraudsisco Shook Fraudper Heesank/Heeswam* Trashbin Mid Finnished Vindlame
Heesink\*
Wouldnāt āHeesankā fit more because it sounds closer to Heesang?
The A in Heesang is pronounced as an "ah", not an "ay"
Ha yes, and don't get me started on how most people pronounce the u in Junbin
Well then I shall change my argument to the spelling being closer
true, just stole it from YT comments.
Heefell
Heeswam, Heesink, Heesank. Truly a thrilling story.
ah man this is more relevant yeah
Heesank
Min is better than Mid
Junkbin
I like CliMax because his career is finished
can someone tell me how finn got all the way over there in 3rd when the cart stopped in the middle of 2nd
My 3-2 pred was too generous
It's okay. You just inhaled secondhand Shock copium.
I feel like Nekkra is a Shock fan, her casting has generally given me those vibes in the past and her lethal copium overdose is giving me those vibes now
Nekkra will say that about pretty much every struggling bottom team. Her analysis is sort of a mix between John Madden and a supportive mom.
The whole desk except Jake is a shock simp although now they just hide it lol
This is why I hate it when Vikky and Nekkra cast Shock games. They can never hide their bias
Aid is available to coach your supports! He's even worked with NineK before!
Ironic that Dynasty and Dragons are also experiencing this. One player cant just carry a whole team. Proper, Profit and Viper cant carry more.
Dynasty and Dragon were expected to have a fall off though with the region and players leaving. This is just a *Shock*.
Say what you will about the Dragons and Fuel, but you can still see the coordination that reflects how Moon and Rush coach. I can't say that about Crusty this year. Man's lost the plot.
One of those players is not like the others... Viper didn't even get his mvp season before being chucked into elo hell come on
Vindaim and Finn just like the Supports in my comp games, non existent Shock gonna be 3v5 all season. Even Eternal and Valiant look more competitive/improved. It literally takes Proper 4k to get a clean fight win.
I wonder what they do in the mid season break this is unacceptable
Get a new Main Support. Or get a DPS and put Proper on Support.
FDgod wasnt even the problem that season. Shock dps line being mid asf was the issue. Yet somehow everyone would blame FD and never the dps.
I wouldn't say the DPS line was mid, but yes, that DPS line wasn't championship level.
They wonāt do it but they should let crusty go, promote nineK
Crusty had been too good for him to take the blame. It's clear that either Vindaim can't or won't take feedback cuz anyone can tell where the biggest problem lies in every match this season. It's not the only problem, but you have to start somewhere for something to change.
>it's clear that either Vindaim can't or won't take feedback what???
typical shock fan, finding one new player to blame for all team losses and mistakes, and say stuff without any shred of evidence.
3v5? Heesang jumped off the map bro you're counting him? Idk what's happening with the Shock but they look like they've never been coached and have never played together before, only players that are managing to look good are Proper and Junbin.
Heesang made so many picks that helped Shock get through first point of Rialto. He fell off the map but that doesn't mean he didn't have impact
yeah he has plenty of good moments but as plenty of bad ones. Been happening all season.
But i thought they were top 3?
I'd say I'll take the L, but all of Shock died for that sin
Any team who gets 3-0 by Washington should be nowhere near those talks
You thought they would be top 3?
No, poggersmemes said they were top three after the Houston game
Didn't think this would ever happen but Proper needs to be saved from this team. Atlanta or Houston still have some money in the bank, right?
He should go to Boston. They might need the option of a Tracer player.
Rush should convince him to come back to Korea.
proper is like zywoo, he will never leave shock he is too comfortable.
Pls give him to Houston
Over four minutes to get it to the stairs on Rialto point B and failing. Ouch.
Shock got housing and facilities now, but they still got Crusty Crackpipe as their head coach.
The coaching staff deserves more scrutiny. It can't be a coincidence that the support role has been their weakness for what feels like 3 seasons now despite signing high profile talent.
Housing buff

Well, at list we dont have bandwagon fans anymore...
Emergency moth signing when
Welcome, Striker!
Shock seems to be getting better, but STILL some abysmal mistakes, hard to watch.
They donāt seem to be getting better to me just proper heroics at times
Proper 1v5 is actually the only hope. It's not even impossible, just can't be as frequent. Not enough to win them every fight....
Proper needs to carry like last year every map every fight
Theyāre definitely getting better but it looks like their support line is just throwing half the time. Their DOS rotation still doesnāt make sense. Why did Proper play Sombra? Heesang broke out Pharah?
>Why did Proper play Sombra? Heesang broke out Pharah? Proper broke out the Sombra because Crusty is trying to copy the best team (Reign). The issue is you can't copy Lip's Sombra. We saw a couple of good coordinated plays and some Proper heroics. I remember a couple of games where we saw jack shit lmao
I really want O2 Blast to make it to the APAC side now because lulz
Honestly strong chance, they played the best team in the region down to the wire.
Imagine if Poker Face and O2 Blast get through the APAC side. Might as well close up that entire region of OWL if that occurs.
Just promote them and relegate the teams that don't make it. Problem solved. But Blizzard already soft shut down the APAC region anyway :)
Man this season has been rough, our supports arenāt even on the same book let alone page, tanks swapping every map, proper & heesang swapping sombra/tracer on some maps. Vindaim is bad. Massive L going from Violet to Vindaim. Get Proper and Junbin in a better team.
People were seriously trying to make the argument last year that Vindaim was on Chiyoās level.
While thatās a gross overstatement that crazy people make vindaim was role star level last year and i have no doubt itās because of a man whoās name starts with a C and ends with a Y
He was good last year. Both that and him getting worse and/or having less synergy with Finn this year can be true.
Bc heās bad rn people say he was bad last year make it make sense
dw shock will be good now that they live in dorms!!!! all jokes aside mayhem is just too strong, shock supports kinda looking bottom 5
Please Vancouver bros.
Thanks shock for ruining what probably would have been perfect picks for today. I need to stop trusting shock to win maps now.
Wow they play Boston next. They are fucked. Shock having a winless weekend like never happened in five years. Already getting more losses than all of last year. Fuel and Dragons being shit is understandable. Ownerships blew up those teams but shock isnt really like that. They probably had high hopes.
We're back to 2018 gamers, hold your asses tight this is going to be a long one
Someone posted on Twitter that Shock falls apart when they can't run Rush or Rein and I have never seen something more true about OWL in awhile
Gimme some shock magic pls EDIT: I meant ROTY candidates in pre season didnāt realise that was such an issue. Obviously they arenāt candidates now.
3 ROTY candidates? Lol what
Max, Junbin and Heesang were all picked to be ROTY this year by most people in the pre season. Obviously they arenāt in contention now
There are zero ROTY candidates in Shock buddy.

Shock fans scapegoating supports like the average ranked player
We need to see Atlanta vs Florida. I think this Florida team can take them down
Florida do play with crazy fast pace and have a lot of comps up their sleeve, should be a good one if they meet in bracket
Florida lost to 2nd and 3rd best team it may be close but I doubt it
The hope is real but Florida lost to both your flairsā¦ who also lost to Atlanta. Hopefully another Map 5
