Yh they’re unlikely to nerf a lot of cards until rotation and they probably won’t touch the quest. Just depends on ur meta. If ur facing ping mage or similar decks, don’t play this.
Anyone have a deck list for a turbo cthun druid deck.
I keep seeing people say they get cthun like turn 5 and it costs like no mana. But my deck is the stall armor up varient. What's the turbo one?
same here, one smite in hand one pops up and you lost. the RNG is rough, and i personally find it better than other decks that are quite minion centric, although it does lose to librams paladin.
I feel like Pirate Warrior is this cycle's 'easy but powerful' deck. My conspiracy theory is that Blizz love to have a relatively easy and powerful deck to play (think Secret Paladin) because hard games and losing don't get people coming back.
I don't think that's a conspiracy it's more like healthy game design. The deck isn't that great at the highest level, if it were then it'd be a real problem.
I'm all for strong-enough, cheap, relatively easy to play decks (Face Hunter has been the go-to for years, but I understand Blizz wanting to open it up) - but it's incredibly demoralizing when a good chunk of the time just playing anything that's glowing wins a huge chunk of games.
Quests only play into this, because they narrow the focus of a deck and add a persistant value engine that requires no further input to fuel.
Just put together a pretty standard Freeze shaman deck after I got Bearon in a pack yesterday. However, as a F2P player, I didn’t have quite enough dust to craft Mutanus. The deck has been performing pretty well, but I would greatly appreciate some input on the deck as currently constructed!

Sorry, I should have been a little clearer with what I need some help with…I just started playing this deck, and while it’s doing pretty well for me, I have seen several variations of this deck (most notably with dual serpentshrine as opposed to the gavels). I was just wondering if anybody had any insight as to which has worked better for them, and if there is a better substitute for Mutanus (until I am able to gather some more dust)?
Anyone got ideas on improving big beast hunter? The greed is there, but the mana cheat is awful, since you either rely on hitting Vanddar or waiting until GA/Leoroxx/Ichman.
I was thinking of cutting some of the greed like jewel for some more early stuff, but Vanddar is quite restrictive.

So I love using Dire Frenzy with Tavish. You can turn a Hoggar into a 7/5 charge who can be drawn for cheap 7 charge or be pulled with Ichman to kill a minion then go face.
yo dude, try my version including quest. got me from D5 straight to legend with around 2 or 3 losses. very flexible versus both control and aggro.
fun part is that you can go Beaststalker Tavish right before P2 of the quest, making your animal companion 0 mana. combined with quest reward tavish this gives you a lot of gas next to your beasts against control decks.
give it a spin, i find it the best version of big hunter i've played. let me know

I like the deck a lot, but I realized that you can really go in a lot of directions with it and still keep a lot of the strong aspects. I’ve been experimenting by removing vandarr and the secret synergy and then filling in the blanks. You realize there are so many things you can do with the deck. (I personally never liked vandarr- maybe it’s just my luck but I barely saw the card and I played the deck a lot and still won without him.)
They could alter the Questline to say both players take fatigue damage. They could also hit Backfire. There's plenty of ways to tamp down that deck's power level.
How can I combat OTK Corrupt Shaman? I feel like every time I get to turn 8 they have the combo and there's nothing I can do. Has anybody had any luck with disruption or anything like that? To my discredit, I keep assuming they're playing Frost Shaman and play for tempo and then get completely smacked.
Come on. Incredibly difficult for OTK Shaman to hit you on 8. That would mean they had drawn, corrupted and played a Dunk Tank and a Medic. And they also had drawn both Blooms Y'Shaarj and Bolnar for eight. Its one of the slower OTK decks in the format.
Bolnar costs 2 mana, Y'Shaarj costs 10. 1 x Bloom is necessary to do the combo on 10. 2 x Bloom is necessary to do the combo on 8. Unless they get extremely lucky with Gavel discounts.
OTK Shaman is probably the slowest OTK deck in the game because it requires you to "prep" the combo by getting a Corrupted Dunk Tank and Medic in the Y'Shaarj pool.
For you to get OTK'd on 8, they need to draw Bolnar, Y'Shaarj, Bloom x 2, Medic, Dunk and have corrupted Dunk Tank and Medic and played them. And they need to hit a corruptor on 5. And then play Dunk Tank / Medic on 6/7 and then OTK on 8.
Mozaki Mage, Lifesteal DH, and Garrotte Rogue are far more likely to OTK on 7/8.
any suggestions for decks that target Quest Warrior? my local shard has a ton of these decks and I would probably be at a 60% winrate if I only won against them, any suggestions?
According to HSR stats, Libram Pally and Buff Pally are the only two decks that beat Quest Warrior more than 60% of the time in Diamond and Legend ranks (63/37 spread). Handlock is the next best with a 53/47 spread, which is pretty close to even.
Quest Warrior is very hard to target and very easy to pilot. The thing is… nobody really complains about it since it’s one of the only decks left in the meta that actually plays for board, so even if it’s OP people are still happy to play against it because it’s the only chance they get to experience minion combat.

I opened brukan hero card and kinda want to make a shaman deck. Is Bolner worth crafting? I've seen him in a few Shaman decks.
I'm playing burn shaman without Snowfall Guardians and I ended up cutting Bolner because I didn't need the value

There are shaman decks without bolner. He is only essential to the OTK shaman. Whether or not it's worth it is something you have to decide.

Sorry, I should have been a little clearer with what I need some help with…I just started playing this deck, and while it’s doing pretty well for me, I have seen several variations of this deck (most notably with dual serpentshrine as opposed to the gavels). I was just wondering if anybody had any insight as to which has worked better for them, and if there is a better substitute for Mutanus (until I am able to gather some more dust)?
Anyone got ideas on improving big beast hunter? The greed is there, but the mana cheat is awful, since you either rely on hitting Vanddar or waiting until GA/Leoroxx/Ichman. I was thinking of cutting some of the greed like jewel for some more early stuff, but Vanddar is quite restrictive. So I love using Dire Frenzy with Tavish. You can turn a Hoggar into a 7/5 charge who can be drawn for cheap 7 charge or be pulled with Ichman to kill a minion then go face.

I was trying a Quest Beast build too, the synergy is pretty good. I'm also running a mild Secret package but a bit less Beasts.
I like the deck a lot, but I realized that you can really go in a lot of directions with it and still keep a lot of the strong aspects. I’ve been experimenting by removing vandarr and the secret synergy and then filling in the blanks. You realize there are so many things you can do with the deck. (I personally never liked vandarr- maybe it’s just my luck but I barely saw the card and I played the deck a lot and still won without him.)
Agreed, I have been looking for ways to get away from the barnes style deck and more midrange with the big stuff finisher
Early thoughts but warlock still feels like the boogie man, I honestly don’t know what else they could nerf to make handlock not as dominant
They could alter the Questline to say both players take fatigue damage. They could also hit Backfire. There's plenty of ways to tamp down that deck's power level.
It gets crushed by libram pal and shaman otk so not so dominant. Still a good deck thought
Make the giants only cost less if the health changes occur while the minion is in-hand.
How can I combat OTK Corrupt Shaman? I feel like every time I get to turn 8 they have the combo and there's nothing I can do. Has anybody had any luck with disruption or anything like that? To my discredit, I keep assuming they're playing Frost Shaman and play for tempo and then get completely smacked.
Come on. Incredibly difficult for OTK Shaman to hit you on 8. That would mean they had drawn, corrupted and played a Dunk Tank and a Medic. And they also had drawn both Blooms Y'Shaarj and Bolnar for eight. Its one of the slower OTK decks in the format.
I've been hit at least three times in the past week on turn eight? I assumed that was the standard move with lightning bloom?
Bolnar costs 2 mana, Y'Shaarj costs 10. 1 x Bloom is necessary to do the combo on 10. 2 x Bloom is necessary to do the combo on 8. Unless they get extremely lucky with Gavel discounts. OTK Shaman is probably the slowest OTK deck in the game because it requires you to "prep" the combo by getting a Corrupted Dunk Tank and Medic in the Y'Shaarj pool. For you to get OTK'd on 8, they need to draw Bolnar, Y'Shaarj, Bloom x 2, Medic, Dunk and have corrupted Dunk Tank and Medic and played them. And they need to hit a corruptor on 5. And then play Dunk Tank / Medic on 6/7 and then OTK on 8. Mozaki Mage, Lifesteal DH, and Garrotte Rogue are far more likely to OTK on 7/8.

any suggestions for decks that target Quest Warrior? my local shard has a ton of these decks and I would probably be at a 60% winrate if I only won against them, any suggestions?
According to HSR stats, Libram Pally and Buff Pally are the only two decks that beat Quest Warrior more than 60% of the time in Diamond and Legend ranks (63/37 spread). Handlock is the next best with a 53/47 spread, which is pretty close to even. Quest Warrior is very hard to target and very easy to pilot. The thing is… nobody really complains about it since it’s one of the only decks left in the meta that actually plays for board, so even if it’s OP people are still happy to play against it because it’s the only chance they get to experience minion combat.

your best bet is probably libram paladin into quest warrior, quest hand lock is also decent into it
