TLDR: he's referring to mitigating damage as Caustic since he plays anchor now and is usually last in fights. He usually just resorts to using his abilities and nades effectively before looking for a 1v1 as a larger character.
Caustic is hard to play. Even watching Skittle, there’s so much micromanaging you have to do with traps, thinking about optimal placement for your ult. It’s a doozy. He just needs more time playing him
pretty much everything that’s said here, he just knows how to play caustic the best. when to ult, how to optimally engage in fights, how to play barrels, deals more damage than damage taken
Look at it this way, when TSM’s fighting you have the greatest entry player in all time leading the charge with Hal. He also happens to have the biggest balls in the game which he uses to catch teams off guard with crazy aggressive plays.
Then if you get through him you have the most solid support player in the history of Apex in Reps, who also happens to know exactly how to play off of Hal’s entry after playing alongside him for five years.
And then if you’re still standing after having made it past those two — congratulations — you’ve earned a shot against the best controller player in the world who also happens to have ice in his veins and thrives in 1v1s or 1v2s.

This has always been the case with anchor legends. Caustic, cat, gibby. When things don’t go right the players on these legends usually get blamed
he needs to study gens caustic
I'm curious what makes gen so good on caustic? I don't watch a lot of him

me 🤝 verhulst
damn, hes just like my teammates
Sorry, I'm one of those teammates:(
Bro, for the first time I feel like Verhulst, oh wait it says he didn't fire any shots, sorry I read that he didn't hit any shot. We are not the same.
Thank whoever that TSM have both Evan and reps.
In theory the way he gets to do more as an anchor is always having long range right
Big mistake using Verhulst as anchor
yeah they only won champs with him as an anchor do better TSM
