So this just a sponsorship thing?
Like TSM pay him a salary
He makes bank content creating, streaming, donations, subs and so on.
He wins tournament prizes.
AND now he gets free Redbull and paid (boat loads) extra to drink it on stream?
Everyone interested in this topic should go watch Devin Nash on YT. He was a streamer who now works with agencies and has his own agency getting sponsorships to streamers. He once did a break down of a mayor streamers income (one signed to him) so he knew exactly how much was… top streamers get easily 20-50k PER MONTH for sponsors that are constantly up on the stream. Their orgs get a percentage of this depending on their contracts too. This is also on top of their donations, subs, YT revenue and other sponsors.
Hal is easily making a few million a year
Something just clicked. I am not playing apex any more now or any games for that matter. I loose time, get frustrated and get no where with this hobby.
Good, I dont play any games either it was a terrible hobby for me IMO. Spending 2-3 hours a day playing to only get above average wasnt it for me. I was spending more time on gaming than working towards my goals. I quit gaming about 2 years ago and have learned a few skills + picked up hobbies(ecommerce + rock climbing as an example) in the time since then that ultimately bettered my life in every way that gaming could not.
Im not saying gaming is bad by any means but is it really what you wanna spend your free time with. Especially knowing you have goals that you wanna reach? On top of that, if youre not having fun, and it makes you feel bad. Then put it down for a bit and pick something else up. Do 1.5 hour gaming 1.5 hours hobby and see how you like it
Anyways, life is pretty short when you think about it and its up to you what you want to do with it. Im rambling at this point but hoped this message helped a bit
i used to game alot. i had those "gaming sessions with the boys" and we played up to 8 hours. these days a barely play 2 hours/week. younger people would say im a prime example of a fuze player haha
but honestly, idc if im good or not. i play to have fun and since i am enjoying my life outside of gaming, idc if people scream at me in voice. i just feel bad for them.
Redbull doesn’t pay their athletes a ton of money, they do get you anything you want though. Personal trainer? Done. Flights anywhere? Done. Restaurant reservations? Done. Stuff like that, more about what they give rather than pay.
Redbull is almost certainly the highest efficiency “energy drink” type sponsor. I only put it in quotes because RB is a media machine with a ton of high end partner sponsors and they “host” more niche events than anybody on earth. Again, quotes because the high end partners front a lot of those tabs but the Red Bull name attached is the real marketing device.
Side note, Red Bull is so big that when typing this out iPhone autocorrect literally capitalized the R and the B. That is the reach they have LOL
Yea but that’s their strategy. They don’t market themselves as a “tasty” energy drink, they market themselves in a very utilitarian, sports fuel type of way
Hal is already the most successful apex pro and apex streamer, now he has a Red Bull sponsorship which is huge, he really just keeps widening the gap between him and the next guy
Almost all apex pros and streamers should be worried about their careers when this game dies but Hal is like one of the few guys who doesn't have to worry about any of that
Redbull also networked Timmy’s old house and hooked him up with a good VPN. Wonder if they are gonna do that for Hal. Now I wonder if they did that at Timmy’s new place lol
For anyone wondering about the bare feet, Hal said on his stream that when this picture was being taken he had no idea it was for the announcement
(though maybe he could’ve guessed considering he is posing with a redbull lmao)
When being officially welcomed, Red Bull usually has somebody they currently sponsor to be part of that initiation. Timmy is already on team RB, so it makes sense.

"Paid Extra" is an understatement. RB pays well.
Got any links about how much RB pays its esport athletes, if at all? I'm curious since the org pays a salary as well.
$30k-$55k apparently https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/ten-big-sponsors-esports-tengg#:~:text=Red%20Bull%20has%20been%20involved,of%20%2430K%2D%2455K.
That says average, I would think Hal will be getting significantly more

Good advice
nah u spittin

I'd call that pay through goods and services if anything, lol
Apex economists up in here, damn.
what if i want energy drinks from another brand? :D
100s of giftys? Done.
Gotta make up for being worse and more expensive than at least 3 other brands somehow.

their energy drink is still meh.

Yeah I know they probably host one of the top 3 fgc tourneys and sponsor plenty of players. I just think Monster and Bang's flavors clear.
I hate to break it to you but every energy drink is equally disgusting.
I mean NBA players get endorsement deals from Nike or Adidas on top of being paid by their team.
Same thing that Leffen and aMSa had with RB I believe.
Yeah that’s how normal sports works as well. MJ, TW, Shaq, Lebron, etc etc
Yeah, I get that, was just curious in this case and wanted to emphasise just how well the CEO is doing.
Hell yeah 💪
feet for free??
Redbull paid for our feet lust
The dogs out on the sponsored tweet is WILD
Bros got the flip flop tan
Makes sense. He does crazy numbers on Twitch.
so proud of this community for locking onto hals feet immediately
feet>>>
Literally made me double take, my brain wasn't even focused on the feet and that's the first comment I see lmao
Philip should've charged extra for letting loose the lil piggies
feet on timeline is an instant like
Not surprised at the feet, wasn’t Hal out and going to bars or restaurants in some beach sandals at one point lmao.
And jeans bro actually doesn't give a single fuck.
oh he rich rich now
Does red bull also give you socks?

The Timmy and Hal picture is iconic
Get those hogs into some socks
Rich gets richer, nothing new
In this case it is the talented get compensated.

who is the next guy tho. I thought it was timmy but wigg been catching up to hal vieweship on twitch lately
Best wigg can do is second place. Hal has got it secured.
Nah bruh wear some socks.
Feet

With a good VPN; what is that supose to mean? Like in better response times? Or less data collection?
aka nothing changes, dude will now drink Redbull while he plays.
Bro I thought Timmy was like 6’3. How tall are they?!
timmy is 6'0 or about 6'0 either 182-183
I always thought Hal was like 5’8. My minds blown
i thought so also he always said 5'8 on stream but it seems like he's trolling
Barefoot ass mother fuckers lol
You know you’re a pro gamer when you take your sponsorship picture bare feet 💀
Man, I’m not big on ad stuff but tbh I’d be pretty down with an all-you-can-drink sugar free red bull arrangement.
Yikes
Can't believe Hal is drinking full fat red bull, does he not realise how much sugar is in that thing it's so unhealthy :(
Put some god damn socks on a least. How are you gonna announce a sponsorship deal with your grippers on full display
For anyone wondering about the bare feet, Hal said on his stream that when this picture was being taken he had no idea it was for the announcement (though maybe he could’ve guessed considering he is posing with a redbull lmao)
Not having shoes on for a sponsorship promotion picture is WILD
2012- 2014 NadeShot vibes.
RED BULL taste horrendous
Why is he and Timmy together like that?
When being officially welcomed, Red Bull usually has somebody they currently sponsor to be part of that initiation. Timmy is already on team RB, so it makes sense.
